LOVE the 73 Chevelle, reminds me of High School. The mid-late "Smog Era" Muscle Cars were the overwhelming majority of the cars in my high school parking lot because they were the "Hand me down" cars at the time. My Gf had a 74 Chevelle that she had given to her by her Aunt.
My dream ride is a ‘55 Chevy. My favorite car I owned was a ‘66 Impala 283 three on the tree with a cable operated 4th gear overdrive. I also owned a 1954 Morris Minor that was very fun to drive around Portugal while I was there. Got all 3 trivia questions right. 62 Some sweet rides. Diggin’ the ‘29 Model A Hot Rod.
Hey Solon, congratulations on Episode 250 !! Favourite car I ever owned - a tie between the 1962 Studebaker Hawk Gran Turismo and my 1969 Alfa Romeo 1750 Berlina, both great drives but both succumbed to rust and, with a young family, I couldn't afford to restore them. Miss some of the others, too like my 1970 Datsun 510, the only brand-new car I ever bought of the 19 I've owned so far. My pick from tonight's video, that sweet 1967 Chrysler 300.
A great dream car to own! When I was 16 years old, I ran across one of those sitting under a shed behind a gentleman's house in Birmingham, Alabama. Now this was fifty years ago, and the car needed total restoration. I had never seen one before. My buddy and I got out and knocked on the guy's door and asked if it was for sale. He just smiled at both of us and said " if you have to ask about the price, then you can't afford it!" He was kind enough to take us over to it and show it to us. A couple years later, that old man passed away, and I never knew where that car got off to! I still wonder about it till this day!
Have you ever checked to see how many cars and trucks that your channel has helped to sell? I dare say that some people would never have a chance to see these vehicles had it not been for your channel. I love to watch all of your videos. I like looking at all the old cars and trucks. I am not in the market for one because I have 1977 C10 Silverado already, but I am amazed at just how cheap some of these are listed for. Keep up the good work my friend.
Wow! I love those 77 C10 Silverados. I spent the summer when I was younger riding around in one of those with a friend of mine that owned one! Really loved his truck! Thank you for the kind comments, and I appreciate you being a viewer, my brother!
My dream car would be an older Porsche. I will never forget a Porsche passing me on a country road in the 80’s, and it disappeared like a ghost. Very fast, black beauty of a car!! 🖤 “62”
So, I've been around for 70 plus years and been a gearfreak since I was very young. I have owned and driven just about every kind of car you can imagine, foreign and domestic. The car that I would love to have today would be a 1956 ford crown Victoria with a 312 c. I. Thunderbird intercepter v8 and a wide ratio 4 speed transmission, maybe with 2 4barrels and true 3 inch stainless dual exhaust. What a car.
Really wish I still had my '66 Chevelle Malibu I had in 76, but actually miss my '67 Mustang GT 350 most. I had that in the early '80's and partly restored. Only reason I sold it was I relocated to Germany for employment, plus the fact it wasn't a fastback. Just like the Malibu, I figured I could always buy another one in the future, LOL !!! Sure, if I happened to have an extra 50~80 K at my disposal, which unfortunately I don't...
I had some classic car's come my way when I was younger. Had a beautiful 70 chevelle ss 396 four speed cowl induction miss that one the most. Also had 67 camaro 327 three speed on floor. 68 327 nova 69 nova 6 cylinder. Man I wish I would have kept them.
In 1971 I got my third car and out of all that I had through out the years was a 1966 Lemans , light blue with blue interior, 326 cu. 4 speed shifter, 373 gears, it ran as fast as all the other cars at that time, I’m disabled veteran and can’t drive anymore but I enjoy looking at the cars for sale 😎🇺🇸
Solon: My favorite car I owned was a "79 Pontiac Trans Am! Bought it brand new as my Christmas present to myself on the first day after New Years Day of 1980. I was really in love driving that car every day I drove it! Frequently got a "thumbs up" I even raced a state of IL State Patrol cop friend of mine one hot summer day against his state issued Dodge patrol car! It was a TIE....
Tempest is a nice car. The town is pronounced. O ttum wa. My current home town. See this car once in awhile. Radar O'Reilly from M.A.S.H. and actor Tom Arnold's home town
Great Info Scott! Yeah, sometimes I slay the pronunciations of a lot of these towns! We have some great towns in Alabama that still honor the American Indian names as well like the tow of Ohatchee!
@Americanrodshop It basically means in the native Wapello American tongue. " Place in river where rock rapids is." That would be the Des Moines river. This entire area of Iowa is nothing but Indian Native town names. I get a kick out of people trying to pronounce them. Try these Keasquawa Keokuck Mahaska Wapello
38 Plymouth , 48 Hudson. It's been a long time but the 48 Hudson kind of reminds me of the 48 Lincoln. The 48 Lincoln has been one of my favorite cars for years. Great show as always.
I have a 64 Nova, I have had quite a few through the years. I also love the 65 Chevy C10. The car I would own is a 1941 Willy's. Love the movie Hot Rod, with the 41 Willy's. Thanks for another great video.
Wow, I have had some nice cars in my time. 64 chevelle, 68 nova, 67 Buick GS, 71 duster. But the one I wish I had back was a 65 corvette roadster. 300 hp 327, 4 speed. Both tops. Glen green. Loved that car.
My favorite is the 38 Plymouth. I would love to have a car from the late 30s early 40s. I had some great cars. A 65 Mustang rag top, a Starsky/Hutch Grand Torino Sport, a Datsun 260, a 73 Nova SS, 72 Olds Cutlass rag top, just to name a few
Cool Plymouth Suburban, the Tempest has some possibilities, the ‘62 Belvedere is really nice. 62. As always, a great show! My favorite car was a Canary yellow 1964 Ford Galaxy 500XL convertible
Nice car Dave! I had a 63 Impala SS back in 1979 that I bought for $150 with a blowed up motor. It was in great condition except for the motor. I flipped it for $400 and thought I had made a fortune on that deal! Makes me sick to think about that nowadays! LOL!
Thanks for another great night Solon. My favorite car is a 1970 SS Chevy Nova 396 big block car with factory 4 speed. Very rare and I owned one years ago and sold it. Definitely regret it and would loved to have another one. They sold one at Mecum auctions few years ago for $110.000 dollars so little high for me now. Have a great week and see you on the next one. 👍😎✌️
“62” I really liked the ‘38 Plymouth and the Belvedere. Some good prices for most of these. I’ve got a ‘70 Nova which is pretty close to my first brand new Nova I bought in ‘69.
1939 Delahaye or other art deco car like the Talbot lago. The french made some of the most sensuous lines to ever exist in automobiles. A kit version would be a lot of fun to build as well
Great show Solon, Loved the 38 Plymouth coupe very nice & clean. I also liked the 49 Ford at the end wouldn’t mind cruising in either one of those....👍
My favorite car was my '70 Monte Carlo! 😎 I got it in 1978 sophomore in high school and raced it non-stop at Baylands Raceway in Fremont, Ca. The car I've always wanted to own was a '72 Corvette. 🤗 In the last 7-8 years I've come across a few I'd love to own. The problem is I have a C5 & C6 Corvettes that I barley drive now! 🙈 😊 😊 🙈

Hey it's Brad. I'm picking the 73 Chevelle & I Love the 38 Plymouth but I'd want a V-8 with 4 or 5 spd. My Current car is a Black 79 Z-28. The 3 I had & miss the most was my Black 77 T-A, Black 72 Chevelle & my primered Grey BB 68 Road Runner!!! Good show. Thanks & have a Good one
Bought my dream car last night Solon, it's a maroon 1953 Mercury Limited 2 door sedan. PS/PB/AC with 429ci coupled up to a C6 AT. Solid as a rock except for a little bondo in the right rear quarter. interior almost pristine but the original headliner is discolored but not torn or sagging. Bought it in RockyFace, Ga. Got a good deal because the motor ran hot and dropped a valve but I happen to have an early 70's shortblock 429...great winter project and should be worth 15K when finished...but it's not for sale lol BTW I just noticed on the back of the Mercury is a chrome tag that reads "mercOmatic" I knew ford had the fordOmatic but never knew about the Mercury. Great show Solon, thanks!
I really think the outlaw is the best deal, I always liked the two door shoebox Ford's. Great show once again and I see you are getting more subscribers. Keep it up man, unlike some people I'm glad to see a person succeed at something. I would do RUclips content but don't even know where to start.
@Americanrodshop you'll get more subs, I been telling my friends that dig old cars. Thanks for some real stuff without the A.I. talk. I know I said it before but the A.I. stuff sounds corny and fake as all get out.
I'll take that Hudson,,like to have 48 DeSoto suburban,, Frazier vagabond,,58 old super 88,,63 t bird,,cars that I've had ,,I've had over 200,,I'd take back anyone of them from pre smog

That was the era I was in school as well! A friend that I went to church with drove a 73 Chevelle SS - it was sooooo nice Mr Real!
@@Americanrodshop Yeah Dayna's was a cool car. it wasn't an SS but but it had a 350 and the back seat was bigger than my Camaro :)

Great pick! I had gone that same way! I got married after I graduated from High School. I never could afford any cars after that!
Congratulations on 250
Loved the 29 A, dreaming…1935 Auburn Speedster…real one would be out of this world but would settle for a replica.
