    Not hearing low tones is rare. Usually you lose the higher frequencies first

    • @adjuchasbrokk8033
      @adjuchasbrokk8033 11 месяцев назад +34

      Yes, low frequencies are detectected at the inner most part of the cochlear, higher frequencies at the outermost part, it's why infections tend to knock our higher frequency hearing first. This also suggests she may be developing a genetic condition, she has my sympathies.

    • @ghaida_alt5082
      @ghaida_alt5082 11 месяцев назад +4

      I think not hearing low tones is not really bad thing for Nene.
      Most idol song and conversational in medium-higher tones.
      *except ASMR that need low tones.

      However, the smaller you are the less you are able to hear low frequences. That's why elefants can hear infrasounds and humans not.

  • @bekasibego
    @bekasibego 11 месяцев назад +8

    I know exactly how she feels since I also experience hearing loss in low tones. It's known as Endolymphatic Hydrops, and the symptoms include fluctuating hearing loss in low frequencies, tinnitus (ringing), and ear fullness or pressure. These symptoms can come and go over days, weeks, months, or even years. In some cases, it can progress into Meniere's disease, leading to partial (or full) hearing loss in one or both ears that becomes permanent, it's incurable😥. Kanata probably has it too. :(

      I'm born with a congenital defect where my nose bridge (idk the medical term for it) is very small. So when baby me had colds, the snot flowed out of my ears instead of my nose. Then when I got older my left ear got infected twice, the second time bled out and took months to heal. My tinnitus is so bad I hear the high pitched whine even while listening to music. On the bright(?) side, I'm so used to it I tend to forget about it after a while, so it's not that bad.

    Your body ain't rented. You're with it for life. Please protect it like your life depends on it. Because it actually does.
    Loud music is probably why nene, and so many people in the comments are experiencing it.
    If I told you "hey, would you like minor to severe hearing loss within the next 9 years?" you're obviously going to say no. However, keep the loud music around, and that's what you'll achieve. If it's your job causing it, invest in ear protectors. Your entire ability to listen depends on it.

It sucks, but I'd rather this than be blind (I also wear glasses and every eye sight test I get worse). Even with hearing aids, they only assist and dont fully correct hearing, annoying that people dont understand, even family members still forget I'm a half deaf human.

      @NormanReaddis 11 месяцев назад +3

      It depends. I've been using earphones almost everyday for decades and use it when sleeping. It's probably genetics. Hope it doesn't affect her that much.

    • @NyangisKhan
      @NyangisKhan 11 месяцев назад +2

      Stress related hearing loss is far more common than those caused by headphones. But you have to use open or semi-open headphones though cuz closed-backs cause ear infections quite often lol. But in the end of the day it all comes down to genetics. Even monitors causing bad eyesight is a myth. If you have good genetics, you'll have good eyesight into your 40s or 50s even if you're staring at an IPS screen 16 hours a day.
