Inspiring video, I'm going to try some variations on the Rain-x with things like 303 Fabric Guard and liquid paraffin, and see how it goes. I noticed the peanut butter on the shelf, I assume that is for the next video on making klister wax for cross-country skiing?
Hi John, Thank you for making this video! I appreciate it as I have been waxing all three of my daughters skis for a few years now and have been interested in how to make the wax instead of buying it. Anyway, would you mind explaining what the teflon and rainX do for the wax and what impact the combination has on the skis? Thanks!
Burhan Özkan It is both unnecessary and too expensive to buy fluorocarbons on the internet when you can make your wax for pennies a bar. Everything I use is in the video.
maybe Im missing something but they use a lube with teflon which is a fluoropolymer and added graphite powder which is carbon.. so pretty much did use fluorocarbon?
This was 10x better then any other video on RUclips. Thank you good sir.
hey john, just made 2-3oz. bars to your specs. hot waxed, etc. my wifes skis, they feel super slick! waiting on the snow. thanks
Thank you for the great video sir.
Tin cans can be used as molds. The wax releases when it cools and shrinks.
Great video!

The rain X disperses
One disperses the water and the other one cuts the friction down. It really makes you ski faster
Great video
love the video
How do you make kick wax???
Anyone have any thoughts on inhaling the fumes while cooking that stuff up?
Can you add dye to the household wax for specific colors or will that cause the wax to be less worthy of application?
Thanks
How long are you supposed to boil the wax for?
and what temperature?
Which is a parafine for basic? How much C atoms and temperature od melting?
What kind of wax?! Paraffin? Bee's? Soy? This is a key piece of info
I’ve used candle wax. High bulk temp candle wax purchased from CA
no with Teflon can change wd40?
or use HHS dry lube?
They writing there is fluorocarbons on ski wax ingredients on internet and you didn't use it. Is it unnecessary or am i missing something? :)
