You’re awesome. I would imagine customer service goes along way with your business and people enjoy working with you first, and the gear is the icing on the cake 🙌🏽
Well thanks lol. After owning my K10.2s for a few years, I must say they have their limitations. They don't put out nearly as much sound as my Behringer B215Ds so I have gone back to using my Behringers on big gigs of around 200 people or more. The K10.2s are still nice though and sound great!
@@DJ2Legit007 Yeah, I went to look at the price of the QSC K 10.2 right after I left you that message and my jaw dropped when I saw the price. I need to look into something else because I can't spend that much money right now I'm not actually making any money or I haven't started DJing for money yet so I'm not sure if I want to invest that much but I'm glad you gave me an update on the limitations of the k 10.2. Am I looking to some behringer's myself. I'm going to put together a spreadsheet in right down the specs of all the speakers that I'm looking at but I really need something that has a really good sound, I don't just want loudness I want quality as well. Does the Behringer give you bettter sound quality compared to the QSC's? I plan to use a 31 band stereo equalizer with my setup. I have a Behringer DEQ 2496 that I would probably use. Do you use an equalizer on your setups?
Those Yamaha speakers were some of the best speakers I ever owned. I sold them about 2 years ago. I also bought a pair of K12.2 speakers and I actually started back using my Behringer B215Ds again lol. I'm just all over the place.
I use the QSC k10 and k12 and the kw181 subs. I send the subs signal through my booth out on my prime 4, so i can turn it up and down when i want. The teens like to stand right in front of them. The base from the two 18 inch subs make them grab their chest. I use the k10 for most of my events as they are small compact and plenty of power and they sound great. But when i have school dances i use the k12's with my subs. Well if it's elementary kids i use the k10, middle school and high school i use the k12.
What's interesting anout the K10.2 is that it has a 90° horizontal disperation pattern, which is perfect in my opinion. The K8.2 has 120° a little too wide, the K12.2 has 75° a little too narrow. So the K10.2 covers basically everywhere coming out of the corner of a room, with a little more consentration than the K8.2 :-)
Another informative video. I have the JBL EON 615s for tops, and while they are beasts, they are big and heavy. I have the QSC 112 subs which love but when I put the jbls on sub poles, the speakers lean- which I think is dangerous. I'm going to save up and get the qsc 10s, smaller, lighter, and still pack a punch. Thanks for the review.
Your video was interesting. I see you have different speakers around. I heard the k10.2 & 12.2 they sound great. One of my friends that run sound let me use a pair of the qsc K12 back in 2018 & I looked up I had Ev live x series rig. I have a video on my channel with my Ev ELX rig.
I know this video is a couple years old, but I was just looking into getting 2 K.10’s and 2 Ks112’s due to wanting something a bit more compact but with some power to move small to medium crowds. But still working my thought process. I have the updated Mackie Thumps two mains 2XT15’s and the 15” sub which sound good but just looking to upgrade.
Oh ok really? Uuuummmm how do we get in touch to talk about it in private? I might be able to swing something, I have work coming in with weddings etc. and would be interested to talk about it.
I have seen other DJs do that with no problem. It all just depends on how much sound you need and want to carry around but yes you can definitely do smaller gigs with just two K10.2s. Btw, mine are for sale now.
The DJ at my middle school had two of the legacy QSC k10s and two QSC kw181 subs. It was some of the best sound I heard from a mobile DJ. Later, that DJ bought two sets of RCF Evox 12, which probably compare with those EV evolve 50s. They were pricey, and they looked cool, right? The sound was underwhelming, and he ended up bringing one of the QSC kw181 subs with the RCFs to the school dances after a few months of owning the RCFs. To my ears the Evox tops were better: less harsh sounding at high volume. I bet the newer k10.2 would easily beat them out in the treble, though I’ve heard they have a bit less bass than the legacy k10, making a subwoofer absolutely necessary.
My man, great video. I'm thinking of purchasing a pair of 10.2s. I was interested to hear how you've been enjoying yours now that you've had them for a year. Thanks.
After owning them over a year, I still love these speakers for all the reasons I stated in this video. These are my "go to" speakers when using my subs. So yes, I still highly recommend them.
Great video. Did you look at the K8.2? Again same amp, wider throw and slightly less power. Only 27 pounds! You didn't explain why you moved away from the Bose L1 system? Besides weight maybe you can make a video comparing the Yamaha to QSC sound??
Thanks!!! Nope, I never looked at the K8.2. I bet it's a fantastic speaker though. I moved away from the Bose because I thought the EV-50s had more to offer as far as connections, more portable and looked better. However I still think the Bose sounded better. Thanks for the video suggestion as well.
Most definitely the output is there! These 2000 watt speakers put out a massive sound just like the K12.2. I have zero complaints or issues. If you use them with good subs, these are the way to go. Better option than the K12.2.
I remember seeing your videos some yrs ago , and you had some yorkville I belive dual 12 subs and I remember you mentioning have the Ls yorkville 18, I could be wrong but id swear that was you. any thanks for giving us a peek into your start as adj I alwys like to no how other got started, most ppl have some interesting starts again thanks.
Yes that was me. I actually only listed a few of my speakers in this video lol. I had a pair of Yorkville LS800P subs. Massive subs that weighed in at 135 pounds but could really move the entire planet Earth lol. I also have a small Yorkville LS200P. It has a 10 inch woofer. Great little sub. I need to sell it. Thanks for watching!
@@Jeff-fx5vu Good question! My answer is yes as long as you set a good balance between the two. The K10.2s can easily provide enough sound for two KS118s as well. I don't turn my K10.2s up very far when using with my KS118 because they are so loud, the one KS118 can't keep up with it if I did.
I loveeeee this system because it packs a hugeeeee punch on the dance floor. It makes people wanna dance and it's so compact and lightweight in comparison to other systems with this much power.
Yes. I bought a pair, but returned them after I did a side by side sound comparison with my Behringer B215Ds. My Behringers blew them out of the water. Trust me when I say, it surprised the hell outta me.
Awesome video!! Love your Videos Keep them coming!! I personally use the JBL Eon 612s coming from The ION Audio Total PA Max’s. In my opinion with the speakers I have used my JBLs sound a lot better then my IONs do

Need the bass to hit hard. One subwoofer or two for small budget. I have the Rane one what wires would I need??
These will not have strong deep bass, they have bass and they sound good. But if you want deep base you have to use a subwoofer. This speaker has a 10 inch woofer there is only so much a 10 inch woofer can do. It will take xlr wire or 1/4 inch wire. I have the QSC k10 which is the speaker before the k10.2 and they can kick ass too, but when i do dances (especially teen parties) I bring my two QSC kw181 subs.
