Fresh out of the theaters. I found the cuts and shooting within the house to be incredibly jarring. It almost felt like a camera was just on the corner of the room, like CCTV. It absolutely added to the detachment and coldness of the movie. I am very stuck on the mom leaving because she was clearly affected by the killings. The way the daughter responds and her buildup of coldness throughout the movie is interesting. The story of the girl and family helping added this layer of warmth that added to the coldness of the family even more. The ending was powerful and reminded me SO MUCH of the ending in Aftersun. Tough watch and not for everyone, but important art.
Loved this movie! It very effectively showed how people who are capable of such evil could look just like any other family. And how we can be so detached from atrocities happening right next door…. Powerful movie, specially nowadays 😓
A great review. This film should be considered a piece of documentation such as of Primo Levi. This isn't just art. This is something more important. The NYT review reduced Johnathan Glazer's opus to nothing more than just a howl into the abyss. Shame on them. Your review made me subscribe to your channel!

Its one of the best of 2023. I thought it was incredible! Haunting, powerful and deeply unsettling.

Great review! Mica Levi’s score is incredible. Some of the most amazing sounds I’ve ever heard in a movie

MA : R.I.P. 1949-2023.
? haha
Lay off the xanax and fentanyl bruh
This isn't a good movie.
What didn’t you like about it?
Agreed. I was bored. It was almost as mundane as watching a security camera for most of the movie
You are wrong
Jonathan Glazer is a plagiarist.
He steals other people's ideas and passes them off as his own.
He is a thief!
Proof?
Your talking thru your arse
