Persona 4 Boss Shadow Kunino-Sagiri [Expert]

Played on PCSX2 emulator
Shadow Kunino-Sagiri isn't that hard, but he has high evasion so always keep up Masukukaja so you will hardly miss ur attacks.
Phase 1. He will randomly cast element attacks
Phase 2. He will use ''Quad Converge'' (1 of the 4 elements will increase damage) Use Guard to find out what element will be effective, and use that element against him.
Phase 3. He will be using Control where he will Control the Party Members. By having Jinn / Null Physical is perfect for this to be immune to the Party Members attacks.
Phase 4. When he is almost dead he will be using ''Unerring Justice '' that does a lot of damage.
Persona Jinn is the best for this since he has nice skills.
Having different Persona's with element Ice/Elec/Wind attacks to use them during the 'Quad Converge'' Phase. If he doesn't change the atmosphere to Fire
Same as Persona 3 Its been 4 years that I last played this game. Persona 4 is also a great game in the series that offers a ton of Game Play hours. Persona 4 is a lot easier tho compare to Persona 3 since u can control the characters here.
I actly wanted to play Persona 4 Golden, but there isnt a pspvita emulator out there thats not fake or contains a virus. Also here everything will be in better performance / widescreen then it was 4 years ago.

I think his shadow form represents how he thinks he's a good guy, when in reality, he's closer to a monster. This is shown in his form looking like an angel, but a distorted one.
The design might reference jesus as well: he believes that he's a messiah, and he bears a similar crown of thorns, wearing the pristine white robes.
But he is not that bad
I mean it's not his fault adachi's am asshole who gave him the wrong idea
Kunino-Sagiri technically isn't him though, it's one of the gods manipulating everything
Idk. I think the opposite. Namatame shows that even people who could enter the TV because of Izanami can still develop shadows. So why didn't Yu or Adachi have shadows?
Yu probably didn't develop a shadow because like Yosuke said, he had nothing to hide. Before Inaba he probably lived an empty life without any particular shames. Whereas when you confront Adachi, he had already admitted to murder. What more could he possibly have to hide? Adachi owns his Shadow, he's completely ok with his dark side.
With Namatame it's different. Unlike everyone else who developed a shadow, his is not separate from himself. His shadow overtakes him completely. I think that in Namatame's depression and self loathing, he struggled to think of himself as anything more than his worst aspects. His shadow wasn't something he could try to ignore, it was all he thought he was. When those he tried to save rejected him, that may have been the breaking point.
0:16 yo it’s the genie from Aladdin
And it has magician arcana
Will smith is a persona
lol jinn be like that
@@Algebruh2407 lmao
I think the same while I was playing SMT III
Namatame was actually written very well. I give them kudos to that.
Namatame isn't evil, he isn't even a bad person. He's just gravely, GRAVELY mistaken. He does truly believe he's saving people and when all of his victims show up to confront him in his mind he's proven right because they're still alive. If you look at it strictly from his point of view, he sees the victims on the midnight channel, he decides to intervene because previously those victims ended up dead. He kidnaps them and throws them into the tv and every time he does this that person is saved from death. So to HIM, he's the one saving them but it was actually Yu the whole time.
And also, he understands he was wrong and is sorry when he finds out how throwing people into the TV works, i deadass thought he was the killer or an accomplice because of the weird interactions with him when finding him around Inaba but nope, amazing plot twist. Gotta be one of my favorite characters in the game.
@@joemamma6344 when I realize namatame’s backstory. It makes me hate adachi even more

I see skies of blue
What a wonderful new world fool
The music’s bopping tho
It's ironic but you saving people throughout the game caused Namatame to think he was actually saving people when he was dooming them.
Nice how both he and Adachi share a boss theme.
Because both had this power by handshake with that gas station attendance
Those misses at the end lol.
I swear that happens when the bosses are nearly dead
You never know true pain until a charged attack up Chie misses with God Hand...
@@angriestjoker same with hassou tobi, damn that's-
Edit: not chie tho :0

The very reason I hated fighting gold hands.
Not even tough enemys by a mile they just exploit the rng to the fullest extent they can.
I'll be honest that love and peace shirt is pretty stylish, I want it
Definitely one of the coolest designs for a boss ever in a Persona game

@@mera-mera-burn what do you mean “bruh” he’s not wrong lol

This was one of my favorite boss fights, the music makes it so intense

Despite not being the regular way to summon a persona during the 4th gen, why does it sounds like a gunshot from persona 3 everytime we're about to face a boss battle?
So why did Nanako not have a Persona but Ken could considering they both were elementary school kids to my understanding
MyFrostyMemories Persona 3 and Persona 4 (as well as the rest of the persona games) have little to do with each other; excluding the crossover games. Persona 3's means to get a persona are completely different from persona 4's means. Meaning Ken didn't have a shadow that he had to face like the characters in p4
Nanako didn't face her shadow
Nanako didn't have anything to hide and suppress that could have become a Persona.
every human being has a persona....its just a matter of awakening to it
But usually the desire to keep those things hidden don't usually show up in grade schoolers
absolutely love this boss’s design and the animated sequence before the battle starts. it thoroughly disturbed me when i first played the game.
is it just me or this boss is just really good at evading attacks? i can't even count how many times i missed the mind charge/concentrate attacks.
I personally hate persona 4.
A lot of issues I’m finding aren’t cause the fights are difficult it’s just because of a blatant flaw in the evade mechanics.
Seemingly no matter how good you improve your accuracy it doesn’t matter enemy’s will still keep dodging you relentlessly.
And the thing is accuracy is not even a stat that can be improved aside from wielded weapons and I had the most accurate high hitting weapons on my party.
I have yosuke with the perk that buffs accuracy for the first 3 turns because of this.
You should not need perks to fix flaws in game design.
im sorry but this boss battle is my fav i just love his shadow form its so cool
May god bless the Arc Magatama...the three of them I needed to beat this boss after missing four spells in a row.
Ive never heard the original chie va until now and it has me questioning my existence since i only played recently on my ps vita
He legit became a biblically accurate angel
nowhere near enough rings, eyes or wings to be biblically accurate
Man, this boss was very difficult, he killed my whole team, except for me, and somehow I survived for almost 15 or 20 rounds alone and killed him, I was level 70, and even then it was very difficult.
Maybe it's just because I am bad at the game, hahaha
Na it was a harder fight . I remember kicking his ass then being turned on by my team . Lucky everyone on my team was unable to hit me except naoto who killed me with almighty lol
I'm kinda disappointed at how easy P4G is compared to the original. OG expert playthrough was a challenge but the difficulty in golden barely even matters since you can just faceroll every dungeon in one day with the amount of SP recovery they throw at you.
@@frostycane5134bringing naoto to that fight is a huge mistake.
Naoto doesn’t have the stat resistances to survive anything for very long on top of that he can hit with multiple elements making it difficult for yu to defend himself.
@@spencerbowden2979 yep
I GIVE YOU A TIP AT QUAD CONVERGE
USE MAGIC MIRROR
Lol i used it twice and the boss took 1.6k damage from his own hit
Has anyone tried this fight using magic mirrors during Quadvergence when the elemental effectiveness gets messed with? You can actually phase skip doing that.
I did, I was struggling with this boss for a little till I did that strat, then I fought him normally after my teammates weren't mind controlled.
I really like this and ameno sagiri's design
He doesn't seem s9 crazy the second time...
When I beat him, his ''Unerring Justice" attack didn't really do that much it only did like 80-90 damage. True I was in the level 70's and was considered over leveled, but still it hardly did anything.
I was at level 55. but nothing that makarakarn and a team of personas who would reflect every element and 15 medical kits and also 15 revival beads couldn't win.
4:09 I remember bursting out laughing when he told kanji to shut up.
Alternatively, you can spam tetrakarn every other turn with Naoto, set up makarakarn on everyone, and you’ve got the first 3/4s of the fight set
But not 4/4ths!!!
doesnt work for me he has a move that nullifies it
Naoto is unreliable and a liability in this fight.
Kunino hits with tier 3 spells of all elements and naoto has no defense against any of it except her nul magic spell which can be erased costing naoto excessive sp to keep it up which also prevents her from contributing to damage.
The second reason naoto knows multiple attack elements she can hit yu with when everyone is brainwashed.
You need to be able to defend yourself against all your teammates attack spells and her hitting with fire and wind makes it more difficult for yu to use personas defensively.
And idk if she uses them but naoto also knows instakills which can end your fight here if they work.
He’s actually the only boss I’ve beat in my first try besides Shadow Yosuke and Chie
I was wondering if it was p4g or p4 then I heard chie.
The worst version
Also the font looks off
She has a diffrent voice actress?
@@Q-gf8vb Much better than golden ,her voice like annoying anime character, where original is feel natural on her character , het shadow boss and other voice

I was playing on infinite retries (cause Im a baby), but had it so that i dealt hard damage and the boss dealt hard damage, but one time, the boss used like maragidyne or something, and it was weak against one of my party members, and was strong enough to kill me. Then I retried and the boss got 1 more. You get the gist.

Maragidyne
Retry
Rinse and repeat.
Im so glad i didn't get softlocked

Why do Yosuke's and Yukiko's Personas look different? I'm this far in the game and I'm confused how they became different. (I'm playing Golden if that helps)
No, that's fine. You need social link rank 10 for them to evolve in the 2nd form, and in January (Golden ONLY) you get their final form.
ultimate personas via maxing out their social links do them for those that're gonna be permanent staples in your party i did yukiko's rise's and chie's (teddie's is automatic throughout the story)

@@imjustalittleqwerty Super old comment I know, but I used Kanji, Yukiko, and Naoto (Naoto best girl don't @ me)
But I basically stacked the magic reflect spell on my team (to preserve Narukami and Yukiko as she was my main healer) and I found that if you time it right, you can trick him into AoE Mabufudyne-ing your team and taking like 3k+ damage, being able to pull that off won me the battle hands down. Because Power Charge, Marakunda, Tarukaja, and God's Hand hit hard, but I couldn't afford to try to spam that during the fight without risking Narukami getting downed.
(Playing P4G on Hard, my team was upper 60's during this fight if I remember right)
Man... Chie's voice sounds so older in the PS2 version. Golden's Chie is a better by far, imo.
Same thing, can go for Teddie. He sounds more... weird. More Squeaky than what its like in Golden. And again. Golden did the re-voice better. I know its because it's a re-release, but I did have a reason to say this.
Golden is the definitive version of P4. It's hard to get a working copy and the PSVita to play ot nowadays (and ATLUS should really release HD overhauls of the old games in the series), but if you can, it's great. Marie is the only negative, but she's not nearly a big enough negative to cancel out all of the new positives.
