    Thank you for making this video. My grandfather passed before I was born, he suffered from psychosis due to childhood trauma and committed suicide while in the midst of a very frightening episode. It’s hard to understand what that must have been like for him, and for my mother as well. It’s very encouraging to know that there are people like you out there who live and thrive

    I experienced psychosis due to a very traumatic experience and being drugged.
    Its all a blur but I remember feeling like I was on a mission from God and feeling like everyone was watching me( I felt like I was on the trueman show) I felt like my thoughts were being controlled and also felt like I was on top of the world. It was a very scary experience and I wouldn't wish it on anyone I hope I never experience it again.
    Thanks for this insightful video💖

      Hey Ree- I’m so sorry I’ve just seen your comment!! 💚 I just wanted to say I 100% relate to what you are saying- I have had multiple episodes where I have felt I am on a mission from God and also that my life is being watched by everyone else (kind of like I’m the only ‘real’ person on the planet!)
      I hope things are ok with you now (I’m so sorry you had to go through that!) and you are very welcome for the video! 💚

    How you feel on antipsychotics. Fo you have emotion? Are you able to concentrate? Do you work fulltime?

    • @thejordanchronicles6715
      @thejordanchronicles6715  2 года назад

      I honestly don’t notice ANY side effects anymore (except for vivid dreams but they are generally pleasant! 💚) I take brainzyme during the day and find it easy to concentrate - the meds I take are sedating though so I take them on a night time to help me fall asleep and they work like a charm and don’t affect me the next day! 💚
      I’m not in work currently (I used to work in sales but due to my LIST of mental health issues I’m not able to right now!) but would love to get back in to it in the future and have a couple of opportunities that have opened up for me recently- I really hope this helps! 💚

      @@thejordanchronicles6715 I would say yes, but at the same time, I don't have an official diagnosis or anything. However, I do get really bad delusions about tiny aliens living in the Dyson air purifier (it's weird) and NASA inventing quantum physics to fix a glitch in the simulation. I also get hallucinations where I see tons of paper airplanes flying above me, a shadow hand waving at me, or this one orange rug starts looking like bubbling lava, but I'm very lucky that it hasn't affected my life negatively yet. I've been doing tons and tons (>50 hours) of research and being aware of everything makes dealing with this way more helpful, especially when I'm out of the psychotic episode, which is actually why I watched your video :)

    So Psychosis doesn’t go away? And also, how long can an episode last for?

    • @thejordanchronicles6715
      @thejordanchronicles6715  2 года назад

      For me personally, ensuring I take my olanzapine daily REALLY helps keep my psychosis at bay (used to be on 10mg but dropped down to 5mg per day as too strong for me! 💚) as well as keeping to a regular schedule including self care and ‘down time’- when I’m feeling very manic or not taking any time out to rest and recuperate this seems to trigger my psychosis quite quickly- I also use my DBT skills I learned from my course to ensure I stay as safe as possible when I’m entering a psychotic episode - as far as how long they last, if I take my meds I can turn things back round within a day, but without those it can go on a LONG time and I end up in hospital etc so I’m very careful never to miss a day now!
      Really hope this helps! 💚

  • @gellande227

    I dunno, if you are aware that you are in a "psychotic break" and do intelligent things against it, it is not a real episode. Maybe some milder version. It's not insanity at all.
    The real episode or psychotic break is, when you are not aware what you are in. That means you are fully insane. You think your reality (with delusions and hallucination) is the actual reality.
    I don't want to downplay you of course, your tips are useful against a second episode, but the first episode is like: your brain is melting and you have no clue what's happening to you (100% insane)

    • @thejordanchronicles6715
      @thejordanchronicles6715  2 года назад +1

      Hey- I really appreciate your comment! 💚 so a lot of my psychotic breaks I speak of, I still have SOME level of control which is a relief- when I’m taking my olanzapine regularly I generally do ok but still have issues and episodes from time to time….
      However when it is DRUG induced psychosis (which I just recently did a video on if you’d like to check it out!) there is absolutely NO WAY of differentiating the difference between reality and fiction- I’d appreciate it if you’d give it a watch!
      Both types of psychosis feel similar, but none drug induced (like this video is about here) is easier to identify an episode- if only even a little bit- I hope this helps! 💚

      @@thejordanchronicles6715 Olanzapine I also took, but not anymore.
      I think what you mean by psychosis is some hallucinations of noises /sounds and shadows and some delusional thoughts. Which subsides after a while.
      What I mean by psychosis is insanity and losing your mind.
      Anyway, it is possible to heal, just don't do speed, it won't end good. You may go insane permanently.
