The other way around. Watch Alan wake 1 as it's actually quite trashy gameplay wise but Alan Wake 2 was good. Mot stellar, just good. Story and the characters are freaking phenomenal tho

@@hawaianmobster1579 3 hours in I was vomiting. It is shallow because it's basically a running simulator with an occasional very basic shooting sections that don't promote resource management as you don't even have a proper inventory just a set amount of slots and the game showers you with it.
It feels like an extremely barebone arcady corridor shooter with 0 appeal.
But story and voice acting was good soI just finished it on RUclips.
2 was good.A farcry from resident evil but definitely inspired so it was good

You problem because i didnt have any problems with the gameplay of Alan wake 1, it is simple but that doesnt mean is bad, it was allways entertaining to me, to me it never got old and i did see appeal in it, i didnt need the game to be anything else, calling it trashy and saying that you were vomiting sounds really exagerated no offense...
