One of the most iconic Moranbong Band songs. Originally performed to celebrate the successful launch of a satellite into orbit but lately also used to celebrate missile launches.
This music is by no means a simple copy of western rock music but a completely new style where they use an existing well known DPRK song as basis and incorporate western rock elements (like guitar solos, etc) but note that the lead instrument here is not the guitar but Sonu Hyang-hui's violin. She is the one who makes the most expressive agogic rubatos in her solos at 2:50 and 4:48 so this is still basically a string quartet with no lead guitar but a "lead violin". This incorporation of foreign styles but transforming them into there own is actually a practical example of music made according to Juche principles, and a successful one too.
British synth-pop from the late 1980s comes to my mind when I listen to this. There are som similarities to Pet Shop Boys' hit "It's a Sin". I also cannot help but think of the orchestra at the orphanage Ospedale della Pietà in early 18th C. Venice, Italy. All young female master musicians lead by Antonio Vivaldi, playing his fresh compositions. They toured around with great success but at the time had to perform behind a curtain to hide their beauty. Fortunately this is no longer the case here.

@@Tan02509 They are more talented than most idols in South Korea, but South Korea has far better musicians. South Korea has So Hyang, Seong-jin Cho, Chung Myung-Hoon, etc.
Starting at 0:31, it's obviously clear that they took heavy inspiration from Vivaldi and generally Italian Baroque style here, especially with how heavily the violin part resembles the fourths in Vivaldi's Winter.

Maybe a documentary should be made about the Moranbong Band? How it all began, the individual stories of the band members (the path from student to top musician). The Moranbong Band is incredibly popular, down to earth, creative, intelligent, and has the most loyal fans.

Adorno writes a lot about how music went from many small pieces working together in a symphony to becoming focused on solos and individual personalities or just the technical/technological production aspects of the music rather than music itself (I can remember in the 80s there was lots of debate over which metal band was the loudest with photos of huge stacks of amps or talk over which guitar/pickups an musicans would use).

All for earning as much money as possible... But... check out the K-pop industry in the South where pretty much this happens all the time. Read up on when Song So-hee had to pay 3 000 000 won to an agency because one of the girls got drugged and raped at 14 years of age, and she broke her contract.

I am 2 months new to finding these ladies and they are just incredible. Having a professional trumpet player as a father and having played trumpet myself for a few years, I think these ladies are just phenomenal! The thing that impresses me most is for the few hours I have watched and listened-I have yet to see a single mistake, missed note or off key sound. Just amazing.
Of all the songs I have heard "TANSUME" is my favorite. Tansume translates to "without a break"

Since I discovered this wonderful band a few months ago, I start and end my days with their songs. In the morning, I listen to something fast and energetic like "Tansume" or "Sound of horse hooves in Mt Paektu". Before going to bed, I listen to something more lyrical like "Thinking of the General" or one of their wonderful medleys.

Самыми известными его работами являются: музыка к кинофильмам "Сибириада" (тема "Поход"), "Свой среди чужих, чужой среди своих", "Родня" (на музыку последней композиции позже была написана песня "Мой дельтаплан"). Ну а музыка к "Сибириаде" впоследствии вообще стала мировым хитом! К сожалению, многие слушатели и, даже исполнители, до сих пор не знают автора этой работы, особенно на Западе. и приписывают её создание кому попало. Вечная память Великому Композитору! Царствие Небесное!

牡丹峰楽団の実質的な前身といえる普天堡電子楽団は、1991年に日本の8都市でコンサートツアーを行っています。良くも悪くもそんなに騒がれませんでした。現在では想像つかないほど、当時は日朝融和ムードだったんですよ。「松茸チャーター便」が名古屋空港に飛来するのは恒例で、北朝鮮産松茸（高級品）が待たれていたり。

Владислав Лазерев, I don't know. Previously this year in North Korea there was held several cheer-up concerts across the country and apparently Yu Un-jong took part in of those.
Overall the band we know as Moranbong does not purely exist anymore. The light music field in NK is currently quite unclear ... at least for foreigners. These days MB artists primarilly fulfill their duty to educate youth by the music.

They are a result of decades of a monumentally large effort made by DPRK's society in face of threats of annihilation. The Earth exploding means more like "either our right of self determination is respected or the destruction will be mutual".
@@jacarandabahiano9833 that is a very good interpretation, I had thought along those lines too. However I tend to interpret North Korea's messages from all potential perspectives as so to speak.
I do understand North Korea feels the threat to be potentially robbed of their land, and the concern only reignited since "the axis of evil" quote was used by Bush whereby he used the term for North Korea, Iran and Iraq.

Неевропейский путь это ты о группе, которая играет на инструментах, изобретенных в Европе, по нотам, которые изобрели в Европе, которая снята на технике, которая изобретена в Европе, выложенная на ютуб, который изобретен в Европе, в стране, которая проповедует коммунизм и социализм, изобретенный в Европе, и которая копирует музыку, которую в Европе еще несколько столетий назад придумали.

1. несгибаемая воля в достижении цели
2. готовность сражаться до последнего
3. долго и тяжело работать , не обращая внимания на насмешки со стороны.
Использование технологических и идейных наработок других стран и культур является нормой в любом государстве , идущем по пути прогресса.Европа немало позаимствовала у Востока.
@@user-ke1rw3to1d Чтобы ты знал: радио изобретено в России (Попов), телевидение изобретено в СССР (Катаев), спутниковое телевидение - также в СССР ( снова Катаев), первый электромузыкальный инструмент изобретён в СССР, его сконструировал инженер Термен, инструмент так и назывался - терменвокс, изобретатель обучал игре на нём самого Ленина. Первые электронно-вычислительные машины - опять в СССР. Вся мобильная связь, электронные планшеты, смартфоны и айфоны созданы благодаря фудаментальным исследованиям в области физики полупроводников научной группы, возглавляемой Ж. И. Алфёровым (СССР - Россия). Воплощение в жизнь идей социализма - опять в России. Я уже не говорю о самолётостроении (Жуковский) и ракетостроении (Циолковский, Королёв). Первый вертолёт создало КБ Сикорского (США), но сам Сикорский получил образование именно в России. Кстати, почти одновременно с Катаевым (только чуть позже) в США изобрёл телевизор Зворыкин, но он тоже учился в России. Да, что там говорить, очень многие специалисты в области науки и техники, переехавшие работать на Запад, получили высшее образование в России и СССР. Так, что Европа (и США) тут не причём. Не надо сказки рассказывать!

Я тоже не отрицаю, что в Европе много чего создали. Но почему Европе можно пользоваться достижениями науки, техники и культуры России и СССР, а Северной Корее нельзя? К тому же буржуазная РФ никакой технической помощи КНДР не оказывала и не собирается оказывать. Наоборот, присоединяется к американским санкциям. Это после того, как саму РФ США также подвергли санкциям! Идиотизм, помноженный на предательство. В микроэлектронике и ракетостроении северные корейцы достигли несомненных успехов без какой-либо помощи извне. Первый свой спутник КНДР вывела на орбиту с собственного космодрома 31.08.1998. Назывался он "Кванменсон-1". А что было в то время у нас в России? Очередной грабёж народа под названием "дефолт".
