I loved the original Spirit movie too! It was my childhood. I believe that the Spirit in the series is actually the original Spirit's foal because he never had a stripe on his nose.

oh wow, that brings me back - brought my son when he was little to see the movie Spirit when it first came out (he's 19 now!) and shortly after we got a little black kitten who he named Spirit - our moggie Spirit is still with us although he's old and very grumpy these days. Thanks for sharing this unboxing - Spirit the horse hasn't changed a bit :)

It took me like, three minutes to realize that these dolls were based off of the original Spirit. Because I wasn't really paying attention. But I absolutely love the Spirit movie.
