Just wonderful to see a bunch of talented passionate blokes, bringing their projects back to life. So much diverse experiences amongst them 🤗. I really must get up there and check these out 💖👌
Cant wait to see this one finished the vampire is arguably my favourite aircraft ever. Small, nimble, (and used in Australia so no bias). Makes me angry to no end though that even after all this time the meteor is STILL getting all the attention and forcing it out of its spot in restoration -v-
Was at RAAF LAVERTON as a cadet: saw the Vampires there.Think I saw a 2 seater trainer there as well Great memories at Sale camp going up in a Lincoln bomber in the mid upper turrent and flying along the 90 mile beach😊
There used to be a Vampire in sections at RAAF Pearce, every now and then someone new transfered to Pearce tried to get it restored but sadly i think it was scrapped as I don't believe it ended up at Bullcreek Aviation Museum.
When I was a teenager there was an old RAF vampire sitting outside the hanger near Beecroft aviation tocomaul in the 90s don't no what ever happened too it
Is there a mechanism for sharing these 3D meshes for parts amongst other air museums? It would be extremely valuable to build a shared world wide library for this important maintenance of historic objects.
Great to see such experienced volunteers embracing technology to save our aviation history.
