Ahhh, the memories! Thanks for the video! I was on this skyride in June 2017. Video didn't show the glass bottom walkways. The stairs down look easy but they were BRUTAL. And the bus ride (after the stairs) back into town was a total white knuckle experience. Travel in China is amazing. I highly recommend it!
Tianmen mountain, voor mij het prachtigste stukje natuur dat ik ooit gezien heb, zeer indrukwekkend. Wij gingen met de bus omhoog langs de 99 bochten weg daarna de 999 trappen tot aan de hemelspoort. Prachtig, daarna de mooiste wandeling die je je kan bedenken, dan met de kabelbaan naar beneden, we hadden gelukkig helder mooi weer. Zeker het park Wullinghuan niet vergeten 40 km. Vanaf Zhangjiajie is zeker zo mooi als tianmen mountain, een plaats om nooit te vergeten 😍😍😍

Bisher war mit bekannt, dass die Schweiz und Österreich die führenden Seilbahnbauer beherbergen. Wie kam die Technologie nach China? Ich denke chinesische Ingenieure haben die Anlage gebaut. Respekt! The price when we went was 258 Yuan, or $37 US dollar. We arrived at 10am and got in line to buy tickets. We were told that because we didn’t have reservations in advance, the next available ticket was for around 12:30pm so we bought them and waited 2.5 hours until our time slot. The weather was bad (cloudy) so I don’t think it was very busy. I don’t know how to buy tickets in advance, maybe there is a website in English.
That cable is many loop of miles of cable the whole route. The motor in the tower roller and move the loop cable along.bcars pass under the cable pulleys. Didn’t think it was possible to make a cable car that curves. Very hard on the loop cable. Very well designed.

Thank you, this was a highlight of my trip to China! I really wish we could have had a clear day to enjoy the mountain but I heard it’s more often shrouded in clouds than clear.
Was there 3 weeks ago its amazing. Scary cable car ride, we didnt have to take the bus thankfully that would have been worse. i recall 7 long escalators to the gateway, more down to the cave.

They should make a series on how do they do it that walkway at 6:11 to the side of that mountain and beneath it just a steep fall.
The Legend that would be interesting to watch! They must have drilled deep holes in the rock to support the walkways!

I went there in 2010 and climbed 999 steps to the top of mountain. it took me 30 minutes and I had to rest three times during climbing.
