- Ferrari has truly pushed the boundaries of aerodynamics with the F80, drawing heavily from their Formula One experience. This hypercar is not just about speed but also advanced aerodynamic engineering that sets it apart. At the front, the F80’s pointed nose and the clever integration of Ferrari’s S-Duct system generate a significant amount of downforce. At a speed of one hundred fifty-five miles per hour, the car produces one thousand fourteen pounds of downforce, helping it stay grounded and stable.
But it does not stop there. The rear end of the F80 takes things to another level. The combination of an active aerodynamic wing and a massive rear diffuser works seamlessly to create an additional one thousand three hundred pounds of downforce. Together, the front and rear systems provide a staggering two thousand two hundred four pounds of total downforce. This ensures that, even at high speeds, the F80 remains remarkably stable and tightly connected to the road. Ferrari’s focus on aerodynamics not only enhances the car’s performance but also delivers an exhilarating driving experience, making the F80 a masterpiece of both speed and stability.

Non sono d'accordo con chi critica il motore. A livello meccanico, tecnologico ed ingegneristico questa F80 è un capolavoro; questo tipo di Power Unit ha molta più resa in questa configurazione rispetto ad una più tradizionale.
Quello che mi ha deluso è la combinazione dell'aerodinamica con il design.
Mi aspettavo un'auto più bella e sopratutto più estrema aerodinamicamente.
Il mio riferimento come Hypercar Top Assoluta è la Aston Martin Valkyrie (tra quelle omologate da strada), la quale secondo me è bellissima e tutta questa sua bellezza deriva in primis da concetti funzionali estremi che la rendono magnifica nella sua vera essenza dell'essere un'auto fatta per raggiungere lo scopo di auto omologata più veloce.
Questa F80 mi ha deluso perché non la vedo concettualmente fatta per provare, almeno provare ad essere l'hypercar più veloce di tutte. A livello aerodinamico non raggiunge i valori della Valkyrie e esteticamente la trovo pesante visivamente, non ha linee in armonia ed ha molti dettagli che non convincono.
Worst design of all the Ferrari hyper-cars. Flavio Manzoni is a hack. They should use Pininfarina in the future.
