Just to clarify: What you actually want for a dry room is pumping in cold air that can heat up to suck up a lot of moisture, since warm air can store a lot more moisture than cold air. And then you want the warm, moist air out and ideally be replaced with cold air. Hence the best is to ventilate during the morning and then during the evening again. Thats what a dehumidifier does or why air conditioned air is dry and your air conditioner has condensation water drop down/has a pump for condensation water. What you did there Tyler by only letting in warm air during the day is the following: You pump in warm moist air during the day which then can not escape during the night. When it cools down outside the air temperature inside will also go down and making the air loose its ability to store some of the moisture in it which will then condensate on the cold walls of the garage. Of course a rainy night will throw that equation out of balance and you don't want the fan running during that. In my opinion: get a moisture sensor and have the fan running during dry cold nights, especially in the morning hours. Thats when the air is the coldest and the most driest (thats why you get dew only during the morning hours - the air can't store that moisture anymore and gives it to the surroundings) Source: i'm German. We invented ventilation of rooms, that's why we have these complicated windows.
Was just about to say the same thing. I am still surprised how many people don't know what humidity actually is. But I guess that it just depends on where you live and how much you have to deal with humidity problems.
This may be the case in Germany but in much of the US the night is far more humid than the day. It can be 40% humidity during the day and 90% at night.
Hoisting a square sail! That’s what came to mind watching you manhandle that door! Instead, try to rig a line to, or in place of the straps. Run it through a pulley at the top and then down to the ground or somewhere to tie it. As you pull on the line, it will automatically ROLL UP the door, like the square sail on an old ship. I actually did this to the window drapes in a nautical themed bedroom. Works great.
Relative Humidity is about the same day and night throughout a season. The difference is the temperature, which affects the amount of moisture air can hold. Cold air holds much less moisture than warm air, that is why dew forms overnight. The warm air absorbs moisture during the day, and as it cools overnight, it still holds that moisture until reaching a temperature where it starts to release that moisture which collects and eventually becomes dew, fog or cloud, and when the saturation point is reached, rain. Yes, rain is the same principle. Warm moisture air at the surface rises via updraft into the much cooler air, as it cools it forms into clouds, eventually rain as it reaches saturation point.
Cut a slit into a pool noodle, slide it over the bottom edge of the flap, and then you have a semi rigid surface to make it easier to roll up for the straps that you have to slap up.
**USEFUL TIP: Get a piece of ½ PVC Pipe, Cut it to length, tape seal the ends of the PVC Pipe, and Tape it to the bottom of the door.** I did this to my Metal Framed Tarp Garage and it works awesome! It makes it way easier to roll up the door. I was lucky enough that I could just insert the PVC pipe into the bottom seem of the door. Also doubles as a support structure and weight for the door to make it move less and be more structurly sound.
Anything plugged in draws power, no matter how little. That wifi plug draws WAY less power than that fan does. He's saving a good chunk of power for the many hours the fan is off. Greatly offsets the extra power used by the plug *while* the fan is on
If it's in the 40's, the humidity won't really translate inside. 50's & above, it will. I've been studying indoor vs outdoor temps & humidity for a long time & have thermometer/hygrometers everywhere. Hope that helps.
Problem is. The sensor might detect humidity inside while it's also humid outside. Forcing in more wet air while it's raining or what ever the case is.

Regardless of if the fan is running on now, moisture and metal make rust. Why not just paint it and prevent it period instead of talking about a solve that's irrelevant? I agree with other people on being scared of the fact you were considered any kind of mechanic. Personally I'm not a mechanic but I know how to prevent rust and you're literally still leaving the metal out in the rain/humidity etc and considering that little cover it velcros into isn't going to protect much maybe put some oil on it or something at least I mean do something that actually prevents the rust. And considering your chubby ass could sit on the side of it and it not cave, maybe add a little weight to prevent the wind issue? Id personally just throw Paracord around and stake it into the ground. But these are just things I thought would be common sense
Normally I’d say yeah Tyler’s a dumbass but I think he meant to say it like that. Either way means basically the same thing ones just more common phrasing
For a given mass, warm air takes up a larger volume than cold air. So if you fill a plastic bottle with cold air and quickly cap it, and warm it up, it will then we at a higher pressure in the bottle than before. Or if you have warm air in the bottle, cap it and then cool it the bottle will collapse. Same thing he is describing. His fear is that the volume can only be so large, and he's worried that the heated air expanding will increase pressure beyond what the tubes can take.
Are you getting sponsored by that silly tent company? There is no way in hell anything like that is acceptable unless you’re really desperate for some monstrosity like that in your back garden? What’s wrong with the good old-fashioned garden shed made of wood? The fact that you have to keep the fan on constantly means the electricity consumption will be incredible. After three years of electricity consumption, you probably could’ve built a brick shed. It’s rubbish you know it stop taking backhanders from your sponsors.

I think they're confusing humidity with dew point and vice versa
You could set up your smart plug to turn on and off based on humidity through an app
Bad idea. During the highest humidity it will trigger to turn it on. Thus making it more humid if it turns on during a rain.
@@hunterdarcy5442 hey knucklehead you could set it to go off of low humidity and it would still be based on humidity lol
If you take the fan cover that has rust on it off clean it and spray it with a clear acrylic it won't rust anymore
You could add velcro further down the roof edge entrance, making it easier to strap up, for those who don't want to do what was shown in video.
Always a good day when Tyler posts
The timer idea was great. But it is possible to get a humidity sensor, so it automatically turns off, when the humidity gets too high.

Gang Gang. You should put stainless steel wiring around the fan so it doesn't rust

Surprising that there is no safety valve for if the pump puts too much pressure in.

Tyler just learned about the ideal gas law.
Smart plug for circulation fan is a constant additional power draw, I'd just run it with a solar panel.

Tyler nooooo. Let it run 24/7 😭
Thanks for the update and I know I’m definitely echoing everyone but really a year it’s been a year!!!!!!!!!!
Fill the bottom tubes with water, that would add some weight and still allow the remainder to continue to be blown up by the pump
Thanks for the update, it completes the initial review very well 👍.
I think I saw some poptarts crumbs in your beard still.
you cannot convince me its been one year since that video.
Maybe a cargo net over the outside? You could strap the net down to stop it blowing away.
They should have just manufactured it with some tie down points.
I’d kinda like to see a cleaning gadget episode.

Good A/B testing! RUclips basicakically forces it and you guess

Well well well

Great video. Cool update.
I'd imagine if there's hail it would bounce off it. Those PVC inflatables are really strong.

You should just try growing more
Imagine the electric bill Imagine living in England running this all day 😲
It's a tiny fan....you could run it off solar/batteries
I seriously can't believe it's been a year
Can you fill it with nitrogen instead like they do with tires to keep them from fluctuating?
Someone has lead you wrong …probably a tire guy lol
Can’t you strap it down to stop it blowing away?
Why did you run 2 extension cords instead of plugging the wifi timer into the pump and then the fan into the timer.
Because he's Tyler.
