hey, well, if you look at the strings of the piano, you'll notice that there's something that looks like a curved red stripe laying across them. it's a long piece of felt that I've wedged in between each string, which dampens the sound and makes it more percussive. This piano was also made in the 1890s, so it has an old broken quality to it that I really like. Thanks for the question!

Just wanted you to know that I love the concept of a VideoSong. I'm a teacher an I want to get my students excited about the idea of really making music for themselves (or anything else for that matter). It reminds me of the original Modernist movement in architecture, beauty as form reflecting function. There's a kind of honesty and integrity in that that I admire.

Lets set this straight: What indy/alt/rock artist hasn't been influenced by Radiohead? That said not many come close to being half as musically brilliant as them. I think(and I know I'm gonna get bashed for this one) that Jack is as talented and brilliant in his own right as Thom Yorke is while not attempting to be a clone copy of what Radiohead does. Now that's an accomplishment. This man deserves credit for what he's doing, don't try to sell it short with claims of ripping off Thom/Radiohead.
That is a lot of equipment 0_o. With that many things to go through and overdub (record and play over) it can't be to hard to create something to elaborate xD.

You see, Jack has a wide enough musical scope to bridge a connection between Chopin(classical Romanticism) and Radiohead, and not just in theory, but in practice.

It's foam, basically dampens the sound and prevents the 'ringing' of the strings.
