- "It's Alright" is an unreleased TLC song recorded in 1998 for inclusion on the FanMail album.
First played on Solar Radio in the UK, here is the song in it's entirety, finally!
This song and “Let’s Just Do It” should have been on the album. A lot of songs on Fanmail didn’t have a futuristic vibe. Come on down, miss you so much, and dear lie didn’t have a futuristic sound. My biggest complaint with Fanmail is not enough Left Eye. They should have included No scrubs version with the rap. They should have also included the rap version of unpretty.
Two points. As far as song selections...a lot of artist record new material and the change of music direction changes with different writers, priducers, etc. So maybe this song just didnt make the cut. As far as No Scrubs...the song was completed when it was submitted to LaFace. Left Eyes was only added after Laface gave the greenlight for that to be the lead single off Fanmail.
Eriq7001I think Lefteye wasn’t really putting in on Fanmail because they denied all of the songs she submitted. Tboz said they had a computer that was going to rap her verses and when Lisa finally came on board No Scrubs was done without her rap, her friend Trena was the one who told her she should add a rap to No Scrubs the computer ended up being Vic E, the robot that you hear on the album so it probably had to do with the fact that they were bickering as to why No Scrubs on the Fanmail album doesn’t have the rap and they went back and added it later. Fanmail would’ve been just as big as CrazySexyCool if the girls weren’t having their differences and I really think all of Lisa’s songs were turned down because decisions were made based off of emotions and not off of what would make the album better...if “Heartbreak Hotel” and “Where my girls at” were on the album it would have been even better than it was
@@jamesde74 agreed, the tracks Lisa was bringing for "Fanmail" sounded good. I hate they all got rejected, I do think they were being turned down by emotion and plus Dallas was with Chilli, so of course things are going to be a bit unfair. I really wish they did " Where my girls at " though.
I was so annoyed with unreleased tracks not being included I decided to rip and download the tracks and sequence them in this order and it’s only way I listen to them 🥴.
1. FanMail
2. "The Vic-E Interpretation - Interlude
3. "Silly Ho
4. "Whispering Playa - Interlude ( Original with Rick James Sample)
5. "No Scrubs ( Rap Version)
6. "I'm Good at Being Bad (original explicit version with Donna Summer Sample )
7. "If They Knew
8. Unpretty
9. My life
10. Shout
11. Communication - Interlude
12. Lovesick
13. Automatic
14. I Need That
15. What It Ain’t ( Ghetto Enuff)
16. Unpretty ( Don’t Look Any Further Remix)
17. It’s Alright
18. Come On Down
19. U in Me
20. Don’t Pull Out on Me Yet
@@jamesde74 You are correct. All the sings Lisa wrote for the cd were REJECTED..no reason was ever given. But i suspected Dallas Austin had a lot to do with it, as he was onvolved with Rozanda and u here her singing wayyyyy more than ever on Fanmail. Lisas role was unfairly downsized, but she always got the credit for the direction of Fanmail. All the ideas of the cd were heres. An open letter type cd for all their fans? Only Lisa Lopes could come up with something like that!
Wow the full version in HQ!
Still relevant and relatable even in 2017! I love this song and I love them!! you know they're woke for making this
It's lefteye at the back door
I can see why they cut this from the album, but it’s still a good song, and I love left eyes rap. This could have been a b-side on one of the singles.
I never heard the full version. Still can't believe Chilli said this isn't her singing 😂
Debra Killing is singing the background vocals on the chorus, but this was Chilli on the verses.
Debra killings to me make the their tracks sound whole
mekuez ragan I agree. Too bad she's not on the new album.
Like on Wayback they needed Debra but on Joyride, all they needed was Lisa and I can hear Lisa clear as daylight on Joyride
3BuckHead she is if you listen closely and she has credits for backing vocals listed on the physical albums cover.
darryl edwards I realized that once I got the album.
At the time , I hadnt gotten the album and I was listening to perfect girls and towards the end of the song when they were like "yeah" or Yaye" I was like....why does that sound familiar"??? Then @ the very end i was like....did I hear Debra ? So I reminded it back.....i was too happy 😂😂 I even went and looked up the other songs shes on
I like it, Chilli came thru on this
"Debra" lol
@@ZILTSBARTON this is Chilli singing it's just Debra and chilli both in the background vocals "lol"
@@spaghetti6711 I definitely hear more Debra than Chilli. I Love Debra tho, she's cool. Chilli alright, sexy when muted. Thick-Boz is the epitome of crazy sexy cool.
@@ZILTSBARTON you can hear all three is called harmonies and mixing the voices together very well
What do you mean by thick-boz?
This would have been a HIT in 1999/2000
This should have been the conclusion track on the FanMail album following "Automatic". I personally prefer this track over "Don't Pull Out On Me Yet".
Maybe after Shout before Communication interlude. Eliminate Come on Down and Dear Lie.
@@BabySwearWords I like "Come on Down", I could live without "Dear Lie".
Andrew Srivanlop Come On Down isn’t bad, I just don’t know where else to put it on the album.
Nawl keep come on down , nun of the other albums really have chilli tracks , fanmail was the first album when chilli was really put in the front
@@celebritylifestyleyanyan6048 let's take our time on csc is the first Chilli track
I just realize they have the same bridge part from Micheal Jackson song 'Off The Wall' 😆
Troz Oh my god! 😂😂😂😂💕💕✊🏾
Anakhi ✊💕💕😂😂 I was shook when I found out!
This is a whole vibe gives me their earlier era vibes except more advanced and futuristic this should've been on a fanmail ❤️💯
WOW Finally we have it in CD quality all the way through to the end. Thank you for posting. Where did this come from?
chillis gorgeous
Zakiyah Fuller - Yes, ALL of them are... MeanToBe!!💟😄
This would of fit fanmail perfectly that was my favorite tlc era ❤️
love this song!
RIP 🙏🏻Left Eye 👁😢🙏🏻
When I tell you this song has taken control over me!!!
Yes! Love it! TLC is4eva
thanks Leon
I'm feeling this.😎🎶🎵🔥
FINALLY!
Ya'll ever hear the story of how Lisa submitted 8 songs to the label but Dallas turned them all down citing "it didn't creatively fit with the album"? ...well this was one of the songs. Lisa wrote and produced it with her label that she had at the time. According to the producer on her team (who now works with Sony Music) she wanted it to be the first single from Fanmail and L A Reid actually loved the song.
I still love this song.
Finally!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I always thought this was for 3D? It leaked to radio while they were recording that album.
.. oh WAIT! i never heard this version. okay Chilli!🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
RIP Lefteye i miss her sooooooooooo much
It’s weird that Lisa was told this song wouldn’t fit the album but it would be right at home between Lovesick and Automatic.
agreed
Right. I personally believe they could've replaced "dear lie" with this record. I don't understand where "dear lie" really fit on the album. Creatively fanmail is my least favorite tlc album for reasons such as this.
Edit: least favorite of the 3 they released in Lisa's lifetime. I don't really count 3D as an actual TLC album. I don't think T-Boz or Chili really count it either
This should have been on Fanmail
If this was rejected from Fanmail then they should have included it on 3-D.
1998 - 2022
Chili Vocals 🔥🔥🔥
This was leaked right before fanmail and honestly don’t think it was a “leak” as some admit to hearing it on the radio leading into the new era. I think it was a scrapped promotional single after quickly shifting to no scrubs
That's not really a secret. Lisa said herself this was intended to be the first single but it was scrapped at the last minute and replaced with no scrubs. It still should've been included on the album in my opinion
@@jackjill8129I need that should also be included on the album so it can be a 16 tracks album….
1998
Trying to remaster this, will send you the final if you have the MP3 or wav I can use!
Just realized the beat and Tyla Water has some similarities....play them side by side Leon
Can you post the HQ audio file?!
There was a Vic-e intro what happened to it?
Vic-E wasn't on this song. Maybe you're thinking of I Need That.
SupernovaLeon oh I thought this was a real version ruclips.net/video/HSnlZJkatTc/видео.html
This shouldve replaced "shout" on the album.
aspiringcreative 1 shout was fire this could have replaced come on down
It really didn't have to replace anything. The album could've just had 18 tracks!
anjelheaven True.
jay2luv I actually really like "come on down". I like the country feel. I know "shout" is a fan favorite and all. I just think its over-rated and its my least favorite song on the album.
aspiringcreative yes your right when I hear come on down I think of Shania twain. I just love the beat on shout and left eyes part because she wasn't on many songs😣 after the 1st album
No TBoz vocals 🤔
That's not unusual for them though. Lol She doesn't sing on "Come On Down" or "I Miss You So Much" just as Chilli doesn't sing on "Silly Ho" or "Dear Lie".
The definition of album filler.
U get that vibe? Could’ve been a single
@@napoleoncontreras4184 Well when we look at there list of hits single released during that time this song doesn't quite hold up. Be honest with yourself. I grew up with TLC as a kid. And I know that sound and time period. This would have been a cd bonus, album track at best.
Boom Boom Caesar well I guess that makes sense, I wasn’t even born in that generation, but I like the song, better than dear lie
@@napoleoncontreras4184 it is. I am not knocking you if like the song. It's good. Most of all TLC songs are good.
exactly! I don’t see this being a hit like most of the comments are saying…
Latin Club TLC ... TLSi 😂
This has been posted before
should have put this on the last album. way better than that "haters" trash song uhg. That album was a disaster!
I dont like it. Love tlc tho
