- Some designated bike lanes in Winnipeg are only marked by painted lines, which are nearly invisible during snow and ice season. Cycling advocates say it’s only a matter of time before someone gets hurt. Swidda Rassy reports.
What's next? Asking for separated sidewalks?
Bikes and trains! The past and also, the future.
Legs!
Didn't even know bikes work in snow..
Our roads, sidewalks and drains are falling apart. I'm a cyclist, the road surface is unsafe, not the lanes. Repair the roads and sidewalks before adding bicycle lanes!!! And quit listening to cyclists that ride with unsafe gear like goggles that reduce your field of vision, and complete lack of a mirror. He's the dangerous one IMO. You can't claim to be concerned with safety with such a disregard for one's own responsibility.
Start repaving the city...the roads are awful...
Maybe you should realize you don't live in a bicycling friendly climate.
like seriously..
If you can just go to Finland and say it again.
Look up Oulu, Finland
@@joecunningham6939 Done and done. They have 1/5 the population and have a completely seperate cycling infrastructure system in place since the 70s. They are not sharing lanes and riding in traffic with snow filled roadways.
You're point is taken however, mute.
Lazy.
to bike for how many weeks in a year? seriously just move to Florida
Northern Europeans ride all winter. The bicycle is my only mode of transportation, I just had my winter tires put on.
Why do so many Canadians think cycling stops when winter hits?!
@@LaOwlett No kidding, people don't stop jogging or walking just because cold air and snow arrive. Skidooing is normalized, Skiing is normalized. Biking....hey your too extreme!
