Thank God for an opportunity to see Abedi Pele playing in his days It was so amazing the way he could chip a ball into the net of an opponent unnoticed. To me his greatest challengers on the continent are players like Eto', Weah, Milla, Drogba, Sala, Okocha and Diof.
We all know he did not mention some of the greatest footballers of all time but he did a good job.in the next video it will be club by club, the greatest players that Played and their contribution to the national team and their international career. This way he will not leave one out.👍👍😎
What about those who came before this player except SUNDAY IBRAHIM, MOHAMMED POLO, AHMED. RAZAK GOLDEN BOY.and many more our GREAT FOOTBALLERS in the SIXTIES and SEVENTIES though many are call few are choosing. THANKS
I AM A GHANAIAN , I LIKE ALL THE PRAISE OF OUR BELOVED BLACK STARS . ONE THING I WILL LIKE EVERY BODY TO KNOW IS WE HAVE A LOT OF PLAYERS AS IS SAID MANY ARE CALL FEW ARE CHOOSING. THE BLACK STARS WE HAVE TO DAY NOT BE COMPARE TO THE BLACK STARS WE IN THE SIXTIES AND SEVENTIES .I HAVE SEEN THE THE WITH MY OWN EYES .EVERY FOOTBALLERS IN GHANA WON'T TO PLAY FOR GHANA BLACK STARS. ( G.B.S.) I STILL LOVE THE FOOTBALLERS WE HAVE TODAY THEY NEED TO PLAY LIKE GHANAIANS. THANKS .
Tony and Abedi were inspiring footballers of our time. Tony became a household name in Frankfurt at a time racism was high and earned the name Yegola. He earned respect for black footballers. Abedi played well with Marseille and was an inspirational captain for blackstars who also scored a lot of goals. He was like the Messi in blackstars in those times. These two deserves the first two spots. Asamoah Gyan if had scored the penalty, he would have taken us into the semifinals and being the only African team to do so but didn't. Besides it was during his time in the 2014 world cup when a player had to physically fight an official, players left the team when the tournament was in progress and money had to be flown for the team embarrassing Ghana in the world news media. He deserves to be at no. 7
Some people are saying Gyan doesn't deserve 2 place but if we do statistically analysis he should have been n1 ,He has scored more goals than any other players nd TOP African score of all time in the world cup
joseph, since when did scoring goals became a criteria for being the best? what did his goals win for ghana, when it mattered most, he broke our hearts, he certainly deserve to be in the list but not even in the top 5. zidane didn't score many goals but won the world best player 3 times. even canavaro won it as well. gyan has been great for ghana but certainly not the best. polo, abdul razak, abedi pele, ibrahim sunday, rev osei kofi, kofi wusu etc were better.
His goals always help Ghana to move forwards than any ather country in Africa..and also, been the top goal scorer of all time is not easy,, not even in Ghana only but all Africa countries.this is incredibly.HE is number 1 not 2
Gyan is NO WAY the 2nd best player for Ghana. His club career was butt average! 6 Goals in the 3 WCs? Rivaldo got 6, Ronaldo got 8, Kane got 5, Suker got 6 all in one tournament!!! And these guys all have or had top club careers too! So compared to Gyan these guys must be Gods lol. I like Gyan, was good player for Ghana and I appriciate all the goals he scored for the Black Stars but I can't support ANY player in this type of arguement with an poor club career like Gyans..... Sorry!
Abedi Pele and Stephen Appiah were both charismatic Captains. The rest weren’t and Abedi Pele by far is the BEST. He was a play maker, with a Messi-like magic, he was capable of changing games AT ONCE and with ease.He played football from his heart not from the pocket, so to speak.
Ghana football without mentioning Bernard Dong Bortey also known as the serial killer is like writing a history of real Madrid without mentioning C-Ronaldo because he one of the players who pull crowd to the stadium during his prime time ,he is the player who scores a lot of corner to goal and also a free kick expert but due to politics and corruption in Ghana football that's why the world couldn't see him but he is hero in our local league
I will even choose Bernard Don Bortey ahead of Asamoah Gyan because Dong Bortey was an extraordinary player but due to corruption and politics in ghanaian football during Akwasi Nyantakyi's era that's why the world couldn't heard of Dong Bortey . he's household name in ghanaian league of his exciting play
Where is Agyemang prempeh, yawson ,Akwasi owusu ? This list is insufficient without d likes of these top players.the fact that these players never played abroad does not mean that they weren't great.polo and Agyemang prempeh are d greatest ghanaian dribblers of all time .
Asamoah Gyan is de number 1.....de records he has in Ghana ,Africa n world football...he even has a record at FIFA world cup whiles abedi Pele never set his feet at world cup before.....so check de diffrence
I saw both players play in their prime, and to me Abedi Pele ranks in top 3 best football players Africa has produced this far. He could win matches with his amazing skill. He could make the first teams of every top national team in the world of his day. He helped guide Olympic Marseille to their first Eufa Champions League trophy together with the likes of John Pierre Papin and Chris Waddle, against a seemingly invincible AC Milan. Franco Baresi, the best center back in the world at the time had nightmares that day because of Abedi Pele. To me, he is simply the best Ghana has produced in recent memory, and my memory goes back to the great Ghanaian team of 1978 which beat our Uganda Cranes 2-0 in the final. That team had Abdul Razak and Opoku Nti. I don’t know those before. Abedi Pele is no 1. From an admirer in Uganda.
My friend I’ve given it a tumbs down cos some of the greatest players were not on the list..... from the 70’s the likes of Osei kofi, Ibrahim Sunday, Baba Yara, Mfum, Opoku Afriye ect. From the 80’s-90’s like Kofi Abrey, Joe Debrah, Shamo Qyuaye ect......so pls come back again
So the fact that asamoah gyan missed a penalty means he shouldn't be part of the list.. Messi missed a penalty in the final in the copa american but still the Argentines rate him more than maradona, Ronaldo miss crucial penalties but its still rated in Portugal, zidane cost his team the world cup but its still rated by his country.. He's a legend whether you like it or not, don't expect him to take this Ghanaians team full of average players to win the world cup....
The problem with compiling an all time list like this is comparing different generations. For me personally,, despite their goal scoring antics Asamoah Gyan and Tony Yeboah would be much lower in the list. Robert Mensah would be in there along with Mfum, Osei Kofi, Baba Yara and Opoku Afriye. Plus there are many players who didn't get the recognition they deserved during their playing days, like Adolf Armah
I think Thomas Partey deserves a place on this list. He's a particularly strong and gifted defensive midfielder, capable of scoring with long shot blasts and making therapeutic pings, and stars at the big club that is Atletico Madrid.
ADDO ODARMETY HAERTS OF OAK TOP DEFENDER AND BLACK STARS. AWULEY QUEI ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS DEFENDER. KUUKU DAZEI OF HASSACUS OF SEKONDI FRANK ODOI ( V.C 10) OF ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS. THANKS FOR THE FEW.
I don't like the list of players and the positioning. The stadium in Kumasi, was named after Baba Yara, because during his playing days no one could be compared to him. His talent was legendary. After Real Madrid won the European cup for the fifth time in a row in 1960, they played against Baba Yara' s Ashanti kotoko and could only manage a 3-3 draw. Even with Puskas and Di Stefano, Baba Yara was the man of the match. Maybe you people never heard of both Puskas and Di Stefano. Well, before the great PELE came on the soccer scene, those were the masters of the game. Therefore, How could a list of big time Ghanaian footballers be made without Baba Yara's name. Next time, Please investigate well.
WHAT ABOUT JOHN BOTIE NAWUU THE ( RUBBER MAN),ONE OF BEST GOAL KEEPERS. ANUI KOFFE ROBERT MENSA.DODOO ANKRA ADDOQUI LARYEA .JOHN ESHUN.AS IS SAID MANY ARE CALL FEW ARE CHOOSING. PLEASE YOU FOR GIVE ME THE SPERLING OF THEIR NAMES. ALL THIS PLAYER'S ARE GOAL KEEPERS. LET US PLEASE PRAISE OUR PRAYERS.
No mention of our illustrous stars who helped Ghana to win the AFCON in 1963 & 1965. It's a shame to omit the names of Mfum, Acquah, Aggrey- Fynn, Osei Kofi, Addo Odamettey & J B Naawu.
Thank God for an opportunity to see Abedi Pele playing in his days
It was so amazing the way he could chip a ball into the net of an opponent unnoticed. To me his greatest challengers on the continent are players like Eto', Weah, Milla, Drogba, Sala, Okocha and Diof.
Great job done we will like to hear of our legends and also Ghanaian players who play for foreign countries, as we youth. thanks
I totally agree with you ...
We all know he did not mention some of the greatest footballers of all time but he did a good job.in the next video it will be club by club, the greatest players that Played and their contribution to the national team and their international career. This way he will not leave one out.👍👍😎

Wow nice one,,this is really good,,chai
Appiah played for Accra heart of oak from the beginning
Ghana has been a best national team in africa of all time in Africa and had represent Africa in world cup tournament in several occasions.
Great Midfielders and strikers has always came out od West Africa...Here in Southern African I dont know what happens
Financially, South Africa has it but in terms of talent, the WEST rocks
Very proud of them all.
Good job
Alfred Marshall
Abedi Pele is greatest all the time in our history Ghana .
Wow, Ghana have all these players? Hey Ghanaians, we are bless

I believe Abedi Ayew and Antony Yeboah as Ghanas greatest players/from Kenya
Very much exiting I wish to see all the t

I don't agree with them being No. 1 and 2 but as you said they did pave the way for our next generation.
Totally in agreement. You should have made this video. Tony Yeboah and Abedi.
Asamoah Gyan should learn how to score a penalty before he is included
Good job but I am sure great prayers left to added
Some people are saying Gyan doesn't deserve 2 place but if we do statistically analysis he should have been n1 ,He has scored more goals than any other players nd TOP African score of all time in the world cup
you hit the nail on the head, Gyan is definitely supremo when it comes to stats
joseph, since when did scoring goals became a criteria for being the best? what did his goals win for ghana, when it mattered most, he broke our hearts, he certainly deserve to be in the list but not even in the top 5.

NEVER KNEW GHANA HAD SOME OF THE BEST PLAYERS IN THE WORLD
Truly, Ghana had been graced with some wonderful players
Gyan is playing in indian super league in this season
Gyan is a genius
Good video overall. 110% bang on
What about Mfum , Opoku Afriyie, Opoku Nti, Dan Owusu, Kwesi Owusu, Malik Habit etc.
They are all great as well
U can also do ur own video masa
When they do top 20 they will add them.
Indeed we have magnificent players. Asonaba Kwabrafoso Obuasi
Asonaba Kwabrafoso Obuasi you are everywhere....😂😂
Love it
very surprisingly you bave omited our dear Baba Yara ,Robert Mensah ,Osei Kofi etc......
Edward Acquah
Abedi Pele and Stephen Appiah were both charismatic Captains. The rest weren’t and Abedi Pele by far is the BEST. He was a play maker, with a Messi-like magic, he was capable of changing games AT ONCE and with ease.He played football from his heart not from the pocket, so to speak.
I agree

don bortey was his own enemy.
Benjamin Agyemang please, even Emmanuel Osei Kuffour and Charles BA Taylor were not in the list. Were they not better than Don Bortey?
What about the local champions, Shamo Quaye and Joe Debrah😀
nice 1 though, each and every player player here deserve it
With the records of Asamoah Gyan being way better than Abedi Pele, Gyan should be the number one all time best player for Ghana
Are you not ashamed to say this honestly u disrespect a great football country like Ghana
Abedi Pele.the best
Yes , he’s more good and striker than Pele
Can’t argue with this top 10
I will even choose Bernard Don Bortey ahead of Asamoah Gyan because Dong Bortey was an extraordinary player but due to corruption and politics in ghanaian football during Akwasi Nyantakyi's era that's why the world couldn't heard of Dong Bortey . he's household name in ghanaian league of his exciting play
King Straw just hating on the guy but who Jah bless
Hate can make you dumb aah what has don bortey done for the national team?
I don't think u understand football
Nice that is mi pasi
That is a nice job indeed.
I don't know from what decades you are referring to, if you ask me just about three will make my best
All doing well. But ABEDI PELE . Is the top of all.
Where is Agyemang prempeh, yawson ,Akwasi owusu ? This list is insufficient without d likes of these top players.the fact that these players never played abroad does not mean that they weren't great.polo and Agyemang prempeh are d greatest ghanaian dribblers of all time .
No.1 Abedi Pele
Asamoah Gyan is de number 1.....de records he has in Ghana ,Africa n world football...he even has a record at FIFA world cup whiles
abedi Pele never set his feet at world cup before.....so check de diffrence

You are right Kwadwo, he is definitely one of our best
why do you compare Djan to those great Players? Djan scores 1 out of 20 chances they create for him.
rudolph Tsrakasu mention any creative player in the black star team
They r fools ..Maradona is 100% better than messi.
Nobody cares about Messi and CR
The problem with compiling an all time list like this is comparing different generations. Aggrey Finn
the one who did this is a kid lol Baba Yara is not even in the list
And C.K.Gyamfi.
Fantastic statistics
Thanks bro
l like video
Thanks Richard
I think Thomas Partey deserves a place on this list. He's a particularly strong and gifted defensive midfielder, capable of scoring with long shot blasts and making therapeutic pings, and stars at the big club that is Atletico Madrid.
Partey wasn't that good then, please check out when this video was uploaded(4 years ago)
where is baba yara, odartey lamptey, Robert Mensah, aggrey fyn and Frank Amankwah.
Top 15 maybe those guys would make the list
ADDO ODARMETY HAERTS OF OAK TOP DEFENDER AND BLACK STARS. AWULEY QUEI ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS DEFENDER. KUUKU DAZEI OF HASSACUS OF SEKONDI
FRANK ODOI ( V.C 10) OF ACCRA GREAT OLYMPICS. THANKS FOR THE FEW.
THANKS FOR THE REPLY. GO BLACK STARS OF GHANA
Baba Yara and Osei Kofi should have been among the top ten. Osei Kuffour does not come anywhere close and should not have been in there
Good list but missing Baba Yara, Osei Kofi, and Zico (Opoku Nti).
MANY ARE CALL FEW ARE CHOOSING. THANKS
Ibrahim Sunday was NOT a winger, he was a midfielder. With his usual #6 jersey for Kotoko and the Black Stars.
It's very difficult to list all time best players in Ghana. But I will say that Osei Kofi will easily replace someone in the team
Very good but your own opinion
Without these legends the list is bogus; Osei Kofi (Ghana’s only triple -Olympiad ), Opoku Nti( goal machine) and Wilberforce Mfum ( goal net breaker)
This players be 1980s ooooo
When we do top 20 they will be added
What happened to Baba Yara, Osei Kofi, Mfum, Oliver Acquah, Robert Mensah etc, etc.
Baba Yara is the greatest of all time but he was not included in the top ten
How long did he play ???
While I agree that Baba Yara was one of the all time greats in Ghana football, why left out C.K.Gyamfi and Aggrey Fyinn?
good lists👍
No good list will leave out Rev Osei
kofi
Rev Osei Kofi with his incredible dribbling skills didn't make the list unfortunately, but he definitely one of Ghana and Africa great
Matthew Acheampong rev osei is a pastor now lol maybe I don't know
I Agree
Wow Abedi is the king !
One of Africa's finest
Abedi cost us the 1992 Cup Of Nations due to a useless Red card
lol, I guess sometimes the greatest have a bad moment.
Tony Yeboah
He reminded me of Ben Johnson. The start - elegant and powerful, like a cat
My country
Such a great history Ghana have in the world of football
This is wrong without Osei Kofi and Baba Yara
@King Boateng, truly Osei Kofi and Baba Yara are great players
I am your man I'm a Ghanaian I know kojo asamoah and albert adomah who plays for arsenal
You guys did not see goalkeeper Robert Mensah. What about goalkeeper Kingson, Kwasi Owusu and Dan Owusu?
Richard Kingson? Who qualified blackstars to the world cup. Sammy Agyei over Richard Kingson
Very much appreciated but next time give us their skills
I don't like the list of players and the positioning. The stadium in Kumasi, was named after Baba Yara, because during his playing days no one could be compared to him. His talent was legendary. Friendly matches shouldn't be taken so seriously

VineNinja good word but let’s know the criteria used in the ranking system

Abdul Razak should have been in the top three.

No mention of our illustrous stars who helped Ghana to win the AFCON in 1963 & 1965. It's a shame to omit the names of Mfum, Acquah, Aggrey- Fynn, Osei Kofi, Addo Odamettey & J B Naawu.
Baby jet should be numero uno
Maybe because he has never won a cup for Ghana. But i think he has done a lot for Ghana.
Where is Adolf Armah?
Baba Tara . Osei Kofi .
Where is Dede Ayew the first son of Abedi Pele who won the one and only Junior world cup that has ever come to Africa?
You should have included Tony Bafoe!
1:08 he went to Spain play for fenerbache 😂😂😂 fenerbache is in turkey
