I’ve got over a thousand hours hunting on 2b and only 4 big bases and one 100dub stash its felt like more of a chore in the beginning but the more time playing the more addicted I was
some locations I do visit have been visited by other players, some that look somewhat recognizable I will tend to share, in-case something happens to "said locations"
I mostly stick with the overworld and follow overworld trails all around a certain area, noting down trails that cross over or lead off. a lot of backtracking since some trails just have dead ends. I also do use the nether, sometimes 3-8k pushing 12-22k away from the highway to look for unchecked areas. which 800k-2.3m usually has a lot of unchecked areas.

never felt like a chore on my end, always found enjoyment hunting and finding unseen location or forgotten locations.

How far out are you usually looking for stuff? Also, do you ever use nether portals or do you just follow trails in the overworld?
