      Disagreed with him on that, danger, nah, caveman, nah, early kit, distorted jukebox turned up too loud, music that played to distortion sounded better than music that wanted to be clean and suffered from it... His danger theory is a no from me, he's cool though

    Fascinating interview. I can't imagine someone NOT taking Tchad Blake's advice, lol. And great job on the Echomixer, sounds amazing here. It's hard to stop buying plugins because we're still at a stage where they keep getting better!

    Fella is a legend, so interesting. I agree with him about hip hop pushing the envelope, but I'd say it's wider than that and includes R&B to some extent too. For really interesting production, I'd suggest there's some great audio stuff happening in folk music too; e.g. Lankum, who's sound is often genuinely terrifying! They use distortion in such a clever way.

    Wow, a lot of new stuff on Tchads mix bus. Soothe and god particle and curve bender :P And Echomixer of course. Would love to see how he uses this stuff. He always uses his mix bus so creatively.

      @@javibanuelos23No wonder it's cool. I have a few summing mixers, but one of my favorite pieces of gear is the M-208. I don't use it often these days, but it's a charming piece of equipment. I was curious because I thought the size of Tchad's desk console was impressive. That's awesome! Thanks!

      Interesting stuff. I somehow have the prototype Hughes SRS (which unfortunately doesn't work.) It's quite a bit different than the production models, and shares some stuff in common with the Bedini BASE units. I need to find someone capable of getting it functional, though it's a tall order since it's very DIY, using wire wrap style wiring and there are no schematics! I'd love to hear it.
