  • Starting our Ron Paulk inspired trailer build out, staring out with a strut cable storage unit and bracing for the relocated tool chest. We are outfitting and planning out our new work trailer, including a storage rack for our spools of cable made from metal strut. This unit also is storing our extension ladder and some Milwaukee Packout storage boxes.

Looks great! Makes working more enjoyable when things are organized and easy to find/use/get to. Also nice when out in the elements and you have a place to hang out when the rain surprises you! Digging the microwave 👍🏻

Thanks! You're so on point! I think that microwave is about 20 years old, maybe older. I haven't used it in quite awhile, I should probably test it before i make it a key part of my lunch plan. lol Have a great day! 😁

Bet your loving working from that.
In this business it’s critical to have everything you need for installations. Trips to Home Depot kill profit

I do, can't wait to get it re-organized. I don't know how folks work out of those mini-pickup trucks, they must be running to the box stores and/or back to their shops 2-3 times a day.

I had a company with employees and we had a trailer set up for installs. Couldn’t live without it. Had everything required for installs. Plus all the tools.
Thank god I’m doing this alone again. Can’t find good help any longer. Not to mention help that’s willing to learn proper installation habits. I’m now managing a crew for a competitor and specializing in high end residential.
I do enjoy your videos! Your work look top notch too. You care and it shows.

@@philipwilkins3812 Thanks! I hear exactly what you are saying. I enjoy what I do and I believe that reflects in the work I do. The catch is finding clients who put a value on this as every company "sells" how wonderful they are. Well we both know better.
It's like those AT&T commercials with the surgeon who is "just okay". 😂🤣😂
Nobody says, "Our company is just okay, we cut a lot of corners and don't follow industry best practices. Don't worry though, you probably will never even notice. If you do we will send out a different tech who has never worked on a system like yours to fix it as many times as we need. Well for the 90-day warranty period" 🙄

What size screw did you use for fastening that track to the studs of the trailer wall?

Thanks for watching and excellent question. I used some ITW Buildex 1/4"-14 x 1-1/2" Hex - Unslotted Hex Washer Head ECOGUARD® Finish #3 Point Steel High-Head Self-Drilling Screws with 1/4" fender washers. I use these all the time for work, I think I had a box of about 1000. However, when I went to look them up for you it seems they are discontinued. I'd probably use something like these as a replacement: fastening-solutions.itwbuildex.com/item/steel-to-steel-self-drilling-screws/t-composite-material-to-metal-self-drilling-screws/1124000
