yes if you are hosteller it is important for parents approval for day pass and for night pass both warden and parents approval, but most of the students take the parents id pass and do it on their own, but sometimes warden calls to parents for confirmation. So it is better to be on the safe end.
during day time btw 9-5 only anyone from outside can come and meet you and for that you need to ask permission from the warden. thru mail or you can go to the warden office and they will help you with the procedure its better you tell them your cousin is coming to meet you.
