The space that Pomni and Gumigoo fell in is called a "dev room". Essentially a space in a game normally inaccessible to players so developers can keep assets to test features.
People can glitch themselves into them with a little effort. Fallout 76 was exploited heavily during its early years by people making it in the room and taking gear stored in it like high level weapons and power armor.
Rest in peace, Gummigoo. You were taken from us far too soon 😭

One thing to note is that Gooseworx (the creator of the series) says Caine is the antagonist but not a villain. He's an artificial intelligence but he's not aware of the harm he does to the protagonists.
That makes a lot of sense too. He's hilarious too
Mhm! I also wonder if he might get some sort of redemption? I mean, in episode 1 where Pomni was looking for an exit, Caine actually built one. “Well, they can’t actually use this. But maybe having it would make them happy?” Seems like a very A.I thought to have.
@@1.-.MULBERRY.-.1 Of course, he just wants the group to be happy, so he gives them activities to keep them entertained. But not understanding the human mind, he ends up hurting them.
A great detail is how the end of Episode 2 is like a mirror of episode 1. Its still the main theme playing as it zooms out from the circus, only this time its got a much more hopeful sound to it as Pomni realizes she has people who care about her and that she wont just be forgotten if she abstracts.

I was behind on this show until a friend told me about it. I bought the Gummigoo plush without even watching episode 2 ahead of time. After watching Episode 2, I have no regrets buying the plushie. 🐊😭😭💚

Awesome reaction! I love how the scene at the end where the characters grab Pomni's hand in the darkness mirrors her nightmare sequence from the beginning. It's a great way to show how she went from feeling alone to feeling part of the group.
Gumigoo's death was super upsetting. I really fell in love with this character. It was way too brutal of an end, even if it was instant.
When you mentioned Jax's reaction to the mention of the funeral, i agree Jax is hiding how he feels. In episode 1, Kaufmo had Jax's bowling ball in his room so, i feel that Jax was probably closer than the others were to Kaufmo. Gonna be interesting to see all of them develop more.
Fun Fact: Kevin Temmer was a Former Employee animator at saddly now defunct Blue Sky Studios working on animation scenes of Ice Age 5, Ferdinand, and Spies in Disguise and then would later be hired by Glitch Productions to be a lead animator of "Murder Drones" and "The Amazing Digital Circus"! Awesome, isn't it?
Which pretty much explains why this scene 8:04 is soo familiar with the reference. (If you have seen any of there movies)

Poor gummy crocodile. Caine unaliving Gummigoo so unceremoniously made me feel so much rage... And right after Pomni found someone she could really confide in.
I can't help but wonder if Caine was scarred by a moment when he mistook a human for an npc or vice-versa.
To me the death of gummigo was kinda telegraphed, but that made it more sad, I liked the dude haha

- What a Bittersweet ending to the leader of (what I will call them) the Gummy Gator Gang that being Gumigoo who is voiced by Jack Hawkins who also voiced another gummy gator that being Chad, & he also voices some Elf combat vocals & Shadow (Baldur’s Gate 3), & a few more while the remaining gator is Max voiced by Hamish Plaggmars who also voices Jones’s, Will, Cole, & Caleb (Broken Roads) then a few more. As for the named Candy Citizens there is Princess Loolilalu voiced by Vera Tan who also voices Gwyneth (AFK Arena) & a few more while as for the Fudge Monster he is voiced by Lyle Rath who also voices CEO, Angry Dent-Headed person, & Warren Buffett (Smiling Friends), Lifeguard & others (Helluva Boss), Tim Allen (Cyanide & Happiness), Golbat, Haunter, & Gastly (Starter Squad), Jaffe (Hellsing Ultimate Abridge), & a few more
- This episode was like Md Max meets Westworld meets Candyland which speaking of the Fudge Monster maybe based on Gloppy while Princess Loolilalu mayber based on Princess Lolly
- Noticed that Jax uses a Boot-zooka & he mentions Augustus from “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory”
The Fudge is also reminiscent of The Greedy from The Raggedy Ann The Musical Adventure from the 1970’s

I’ve noticed throughout the reactions that people are really upset about Gummigoo’s despawn (Since they mentioned the NPC being reused, I’m not gonna say he’s dead) and I can see why people are upset, but the way Caine just mentions that he doesn’t know what happens if Gummigoo or any npc stays with them implicated that there is a possibility that this had happened before. Maybe Caine accidentally unalived a player and it may have scarred him. It can be seen through his mannerisms and the way he tries to entertain the players. That can also be the reason why there aren’t more players popping up. This game must’ve been locked away a while back and by accident, some people had gotten their hands on the headsets that this game was on. It’s a simple theory, but I feel like this makes sense.

Micheal Kovach is such a diverse voice actor with so much range. He not only plays Jax but also Angel Dust and some other characters from Murder Drones. Absolute 10/10 voice actor🤩✨

The Gummigoo stuff did hit deep, though as much as he's a jerk I still feel like there is method to Jax's assholery, whether it's simply to make things more fun for the adventure or just find a solution to the current problem, aligning with the Fudge got them out of the lake after all. Not saying he's nice but he's pragmatic, in a chaotic evil way

You know something ? Caine is such a GOD DAMN HYPOCRITE !! 😡 he has bubble , who’s definitely an npc and has emotion and sentience . And is allowed to come and go as they please . And is definitely a close friend to Caine . But god forbid Pomni makes one friend in this dumpster fire of a digital world who actually understands her and brings out the best in her . And Caine loses his sh😡t because he’s an npc . Honestly at this point my moneys on Caine being a parasitic ai that feed off players who abstract . Is it any wonder he pushes people to their breaking point than lock them in his cellar . He’s not helping them he’s leeching off them
