I am Australian most of our wood is very hard, even the softer woods are classified as hard wood, a knife like this is useless to me. I admire it as a beautifully build and designed tool. The Italians have the best artistic eye.
Out of interest, what type of knives do you use in Australia, I assume not Scandi grinds, maybe something with a convex grind perhaps? Would be interested in knowing the particular knife models.
Depends on what the knife is being used for. I'm Australian and agree with it not being ideal for cutting our hardwood, but that's what axes and chainsaws are for. This is still a great general camp or bush walking knife, perfect for food prep, cutting ropes, and just to have on your side in case of an emergency. I live in far north Queensland and do a lot of bush walking where there is always a constant threat of Saltwater crocodiles, scrub boars, snakes, wild dogs etc. This would be a very handy tool to have in my opinion
Be the Master of your Weapons, and when implemented as a tool, it’s still to be attended to and maintained in a continuous ready state for any eventuality!
