At 7:15 Sehwag says "He will give me chance in middle order even if I failed as an opener" At 15:13 & Ganguly says "We didn''t take argument to the Selection Committee"...
This clearly shows where MS Dhoni failed, he never gave this trust to any player in his life. He never said to Yuvraj Singh after Cancer that even if he failed he will give him chance. This is great reason why Yuvraj could never play fearlessly after 2011. Whenever Yuvraj once failed Dhoni used to oust him, even in 2015 world cup he selected Ravindra Jadeja instead of Yuvraj, though all selectors chose Yuvraj at that time in their own favorite teams.
Also, in 2012, after the feud of Sehwag and Dhoni, Dhoni instantly told to selection committee to drop him and also all other senior players gradually and make Young team for 2015 world cup, which they lost though.
Dhoni I don't think was that of a great Leader, the reason behind his success was teamwork, having a great Team Players. He could not win 2015 world cup, as team was inexperienced, at semi-final when all responsibility came on him, he failed miserably. Everything happens for a Reason....
Dada is dada. No other captain would've trusted his players as much as dada did. Dhoni never played in the present. He was always about making the team for future.
Remember when Srinath was about to retire, Dada told him to play the test series as it would help youngsters like Ashish and Zaheer. And Srinath ended up playing the 2003 world cup. Because dada wanted the best players to be a part of that squad even if someone was in the last stage of his career.
And here dhoni kicked out Yuvi because he was not for the future.
And we can see the same policy with Virat. Here we have a veteran like Dinesh Karthik who is in sublime form. And he has closed his doors for the world cup.
And the worst part is, the same policy is not used for Dhoni who is playing his last year. Atleast Dhoni did the same with every player of the team.
So, Dada was, is, and will be the best.
