Yep, I can confirm, multiplayer has gotten so bad that I've literally not touched it ever since the update. League mixing existing, when cross-play is also enabled, is absolutely bonkers tho lol... Let's just hope Gameloft fixes this, along with a TON of other bugs in the Windows version, like broken Overclock menu, no ad packs, and the "Pininfarina" Jesko Absolut on the Drive Syndicate page... On a random note, I HATE THE FACT THAT Gameloft changed up the cars required for the Rezvani Beast X and Cadillac Cien Concept events. Acura NSX and Porsche 911 Targa 4S are replaced by Vencer Sarthe and Ginetta G60, BRUH 🙄
Thats the result they changed the MP1 league packs to coordinate better with the weekly cars epic pack. However, this immediately raise an alarm for me that they're repeating this SLR McLaren/ZR1 2019/TS1 pool set and Fenyr/SV Coupe/Grand Sport pool set for 3-4 years mistake again. If they dont notice this problem i dont know what to tell them.
@@Rêv_Mønstër Am on a somewhat similar situation too. My Acura is gold-maxed, while my Vencer is at 2 stars. The Vencer is an extremely expensive car to star up and upgrade. Meanwhile my Ginetta G60 is just at 1 star, while I have a maxed out 718 Cayman. Basically, I just have one of the required cars for those exclusive events.
i strongly believe they should rework the knockdown system, because it's usually uncontrollable whether you get knocked down, and it's too punishing when it happens, because if it does the race is over for you. They should make it a bit harder to knock people down in general, and make the respawn time much faster.
Mp2 change is good in my opinion because u race with any car u want and u get match with equal cars by rank not by league let's say if u use Ds E Tense u only match with similar cars so it is possible to reach legend league with only one car it helps lower people to reach higher tier
@@Yxann.999It's something done mostly by Asphalt 8 players. You upgrade a certain number of specific stats to manipulate your car rank, so you can "control" who you'll be matched against based on said rank.
This needs to be damn ghost! Making it where we have to drive the same car and skilled players have no choice but crashing eachother somehow and accidentally kd’ing eachother cuz it’s same speeds same line etc. This whole model is the stupidest thing I’ve ever seen in any racing game over the last 20yrs
I find it easier to get to gold league now since I dont have to constantly battle against the arrinera hussarya 33 and few other cars. The car ranking seem to be similar now so now its less unfair than before i think
I thought the poor connections could of been reduced waaayyyyy lower, but it’s just becoming a staple throughout each update. It was probably a good idea to place some hot spot servers to get all of the information from each player and maybe balance out the stutters from certain regional players. Now I somewhat understood why Nintendo decided to delay it because there’s still a lot of work left to green light the update.

The base season multiplayer is very broken, that i barely play it. Im in bronze 1 and the best car i can use is an overclocked ds e tense 😭. The other multiplayer is much better but the gameplay also needs work, the random and very low effort knockdowns also have happened to me. Ive accidentally knocked people with just a perfect nitro or a simple drift and vice versa. Its incredibly unfair. There should also be an option to play with ghost multiplayer instead of classic.
I'm stuck at Gold 1 for the past 2 days. My laptop (940MX) can't handle unite, giving low FPS plus tons of freezes which makes me lose at least 10 seconds of race time. In Singapore, it basically becomes a slideshow. If the game is already declared unplayable even while having a smooth device, imagine how it is on old devices.
YEA SAME. I have my graphics on low settings and I have a budget laptop and it worksed smooth on A9...but now....in the middle of MP1 my game just crashes in the middle of a race. The Singapore track is pointless atp it kills framerate so bad I can't do any syndicate races
What’s frustrating for me is that my phone sometimes lags for freezes for a split second to even a few seconds making me lose a few places or even putting me a distant last when I was near first place. Add to that the stupid Untie Pass mission to finish first in Tuscany, Paris, Scotland. It pisses me off. Not gonna buy Unite Pass if they keep adding these stupid missions. They should add back missions like getting air KDs or sandwich KDs and stuff like that.
Totally agree with this one. Also the class mixing and filtering half of the cars only ads to the frustration (the old approach - bronze=D, silver=C etc. was much better). Cars from lower class that i spent lot of tokens on are now placed at the bottom of a higher league :/
From the moment I unlocked puritalia berlinetta, I started getting into legend league once every 2 or 3 seasons, and when I got 007s i instantly got there. Now I am stuck playing with ds etense whilst my opponents have silver 1 cars...
Simple solution: separate points system for! Example: Silver 1 vs Gold 4, 4 cars from silver 1 and 4 from gold 4, the 4 gold get the first 4 positions and 4 silver get bottom 4, 5 place for silver 1 is treated as 1 place , 6 position is treated has 2 place and so forth including mixing the position of both silver and gold leaguers! Is this a good solution or not!?
the main issue i have with the new MP is that players are somehow able to use higher league cars while im not. today i played like 10 matches(im at bronze 1) and every single time there were people using the Nissan GTR and thw Acura NSX. And again the H2 speed spamming is just infuriating
I have been able to get to legend league every season and multiplayer 1 event. However I always got there with the corvette grand sport (no I’m not the person who 360 kd’s everyone) and now I can’t get any farther than platinum 4 because my best car is the lykan hypersport and competition gets ridiculous compared to my car in plat 4. For low level garage players like me who used to be able to reach legend league every time is quite frustrating
I had fun only in MP2 since you could use every car there. Its fun driving around with 1 star Tachyon, a car that I could never normally use in MP, while trolling some low end A class and High end C class.
mp2 without cars with over 85 accell is so bad. who at gameloft thought it was a good idea to make both the knockdown timer and ghosting timer to run out at 10 seconds 😭😭. I've raged so much and the worst part is i don't know how much rank i lost because a 007s knocked me down in my 4* chiron 😭😭
I made your video at 8 seconds! I've made it to Platinum II so far. I've been complaining about regular MP for a long time and this season has been the worst by far. The problem is Unite has made the parity problem far, far worse than it was before. When I first started Asphalt 9 in Fall 2020, many players didn't even know the fastest route to take on most tracks so, if you had a high acceleration car, you could win most races just by getting ahead at the start. I remember making it into the top-250 when my only good cars were the Apex, the Huracan and the Egoista. Back then, I'm pretty sure that your starting position was also randomized so, if you had the highest rating you might still get to start at the front of the pack, instead of the very back. This season in MP1 they've taken away pretty much all of the fast accelerating cars and the best players start at the back of the pack every race, with better cars. The result is predictable. All those players have to move through the field and, since they're driving slow accelerating cars, ghost runs out before they can get out front and this results in loads of carnage. My level of frustration has gotten to the point where I automatically block any player who goes out of their way to sabotage my race. This is probably an overreaction as I'm sure I've pissed off a few players in the thousands of hours I've played this game. Things have just become so toxic and I'm in a negative head space most of the time when I'm playing MP1. Wish Gameloft would do more to emphasize driving skill in MP, rather than luck and dirty driving tactics.

I agree with you about knockdowns and how it’s unfair sometimes in both sides wether because of poor connection or how the race being played. For multiplayer, i think it’s much better than before especially the World Series where the cars have been sorted better beside the new divisions for leagues basing on our ranking and as well as for season series and how we can race with any car we own.
Ive noticed that MP is more toxic. It's not fun when people are taking you out all the time, and they are doing it to be toxic as it slows them down to do so. Also, sometimes my game freezes for 10 secs and when it comes back im last place which compounds things. Im not having fun, i can't use the cars i want sick of being in the H20.

The first minutes sum up well. So you have to adapt to the cuicidal players who are looking for the kd, even to end up behind you I have a small chain too, despite my low skills
Thank goodness I am still on A9 on the Switch, but the inevitable will come since they will soon be releasing it to Switch. The real worst part is the mp system, even on the old A9. A8 has better system since it gives you 2 seasons. A world series where your rank is used to match you and the other one that matches you based on car rank. In A9, I can only touch gold rank on a maxxed out E-Tense and can’t go up because of the p2w matchmaking. At least I can reach gold as a f2p. I hope GL changes the system to a more fair game experience, especially for f2p. That aside, I have one question before unite releases on the Switch, does Unite still have cards?

haha, you're finally experiencing what i experienced on a regular basis in a9 i take speedy cars, i get twisty tracks, i take handling cars, i get speedy tracks when im in trion in Caribbean or osaka or other twisty tracks, the rest of them are in handling oriented cars, i get kd'd after 50%
I love how I get to watch all of these things happen in the community while I wait for the switch release. Maybe it was a blessing in disguise? But man, I hope I don’t have to miss everything from the season(s) I miss while the switch version is still being worked on.

I have been stuck in Bronze League with the Pininfarina H2 for the better part of the first week and decided to stop. Season Series on the other hand? I was beating anything imaginable with the Exotic Rides W70. Damn thing is a lot of fun. After editing this, I must add. Players should NOT be able to break another's shockwave upon a hard impact. It completely breaks to point of using shockwave. I lost count of the amount of time other cars hammered on from the side, broke my shockwave and left me to get knocked down by another.
I'm currently stuck at platinum 3, all I can really use are the AM victor and the lykan, so I probably wont make it to legend league. Season Series is really fun though I'm in top 100 there
anyone else see why i like ghost now? also if i want to upgrade a ds car do i buy the packs that cost syndicate coins or buy blueprints from the legend store thingy
Maybe not many know but they removed a bit good rewards from the milestone like c1 wildcard, which is really useful for a lot of things including halving the cost for upgrading DS c car

I'm so happy you finally touched on this because i made the same comment on your last video. Classic MP is basically unplayable because newer players are locked out of tiers for not having the required cars to progress and then we have to use the weaker cars we'd never normally use. I've been stuck on silver 2 since..AND THESE MF PLAYERS ON OTHER PLATFORMS PLAY VERY DIRTY. Thwey knock you down so much that you either have to knock them down first before they get you..or just rage quit..mfs playing like it's BURNOUT..I'm sick of this...fully

I understand the frustration and the desire for revenge. But then the race degenerates into a round of bumper cars. No racing skill rrequired. I'm over the frequent kds. Not uncommon to suffer two or three kds per race. Quit that crap people. Let's just race straight up.

I have an idea about new MP system which I think will solve issues in the new mp1. 1)Instead of grouping cars on the basis of ranks we group cars of same class and ranks together. Bronze league will contain D class, silver c class, gold b class, Platinum a class and legend s class cars 2)Leagues will be divided in 4 tiers IV, III II and I. Will contain cars like following in that respective league(class) IV - Low ranked D class cars (like KTM, Lancer ) III- Low to Mid D class cars II - Mid to High D class cars I- High D class cars this can be done for every class 3)League mixing between tiers like bronze IV, III and between leagues should be off to make it fair. 4)To avoid spamming of lower league cars in legend league (GS, Vanda, Huracan, etc.) the players using these cars should only be awarded series score and not rating to promote using cars the player is in. a) These players rating should be capped at the rating they entered the new league/section. b) This will make it viable to use low s class cars in legend league IV without A, B class cars. 5)For players who don't have any cars available in the tier they have reached a free try car at 2/3 stars should be given so they can somewhat compete. (like in pursuit mode where car rank is capped) Players who have that car higher than 2/3star should be allowed to use their own vehicle. 6)This will promote player to have a best car in every tier of every class to climb leaderboard and expand his/her garage. 7)On next season players rating will not shift to zero but the lowest rating in that league for e.g., if player ends the season at platinum II , on next season he/she will start at lowest rating in plat IV. 8)Series score gained should at least be 75 in bronze league for winning a race (it is 30 in new MP Format for bronze league) for silver 125, gold 175, plat 225, and legend league 325 a) this will make it easy to grind series score for players who can’t reach higher leagues to not miss out on rewards. I am in plat III as of now. Just going to grind series as I don't have any cars offered in higher tiers.

Knockbacks are unacceptably unfair, and that’s why I’ve been stuck in Bronze I for 2 days despite having a maxed out 2017 NSX.

I have been able to get to legend league every season and multiplayer 1 event. However I always got there with the corvette grand sport (no I’m not the person who 360 kd’s everyone) and now I can’t get any farther than platinum 4 because my best car is the lykan hypersport and competition gets ridiculous compared to my car in plat 4. For low level garage players like me who used to be able to reach legend league every time is quite frustrating

I had fun only in MP2 since you could use every car there. Its fun driving around with 1 star Tachyon, a car that I could never normally use in MP, while trolling some low end A class and High end C class.

Fax, Im hard stuck Gold 1 bro trying to get to my platinum Cars but the issue is people in Platinum already using those cars are gatekeeping.
mp2 without cars with over 85 accell is so bad. who at gameloft thought it was a good idea to make both the knockdown timer and ghosting timer to run out at 10 seconds 😭😭. I've raged so much and the worst part is i don't know how much rank i lost because a 007s knocked me down in my 4* chiron 😭😭
I made your video at 8 seconds! I've made it to Platinum II so far. I've been complaining about regular MP for a long time and this season has been the worst by far. The problem is Unite has made the parity problem far, far worse than it was before. When I first started Asphalt 9 in Fall 2020, many players didn't even know the fastest route to take on most tracks so, if you had a high acceleration car, you could win most races just by getting ahead at the start. I remember making it into the top-250 when my only good cars were the Apex, the Huracan and the Egoista. Back then, I'm pretty sure that your starting position was also randomized so, if you had the highest rating you might still get to start at the front of the pack, instead of the very back.
This season in MP1 they've taken away pretty much all of the fast accelerating cars and the best players start at the back of the pack every race, with better cars. The result is predictable. All those players have to move through the field and, since they're driving slow accelerating cars, ghost runs out before they can get out front and this results in loads of carnage.
My level of frustration has gotten to the point where I automatically block any player who goes out of their way to sabotage my race. This is probably an overreaction as I'm sure I've pissed off a few players in the thousands of hours I've played this game. Things have just become so toxic and I'm in a negative head space most of the time when I'm playing MP1. Wish Gameloft would do more to emphasize driving skill in MP, rather than luck and dirty driving tactics.
When you block someone, do they appear in your Lobby / MP Race?

If not mistaken, the world series is still seconds, while the season series is deducted to 10 seconds.
I agree with you about knockdowns and how it’s unfair sometimes in both sides wether because of poor connection or how the race being played.
For multiplayer, i think it’s much better than before especially the World Series where the cars have been sorted better beside the new divisions for leagues basing on our ranking and as well as for season series and how we can race with any car we own.
Ive noticed that MP is more toxic. It's not fun when people are taking you out all the time, and they are doing it to be toxic as it slows them down to do so. Also, sometimes my game freezes for 10 secs and when it comes back im last place which compounds things. Im not having fun, i can't use the cars i want sick of being in the H20.

Thank goodness I am still on A9 on the Switch, but the inevitable will come since they will soon be releasing it to Switch. The real worst part is the mp system, even on the old A9. A8 has better system since it gives you 2 seasons. A world series where your rank is used to match you and the other one that matches you based on car rank. In A9, I can only touch gold rank on a maxxed out E-Tense and can’t go up because of the p2w matchmaking. At least I can reach gold as a f2p. I hope GL changes the system to a more fair game experience, especially for f2p.
That aside, I have one question before unite releases on the Switch, does Unite still have cards?

i take handling cars, i get speedy tracks
when im in trion in Caribbean or osaka or other twisty tracks, the rest of them are in handling oriented cars, i get kd'd after 50%

I only made it to gold league 2100s, it's all GSs and occasional other cars, every lobby has at least 4 GSs
I've only been in the Legend league once, which was the last season of Asphalt 9
Multiplayer needs some more options ( and needs to add lowest graphics settings for mid end phones (but in 60fps)

I have been stuck in Bronze League with the Pininfarina H2 for the better part of the first week and decided to stop.
Season Series on the other hand? I was beating anything imaginable with the Exotic Rides W70. Damn thing is a lot of fun.
After editing this, I must add. Players should NOT be able to break another's shockwave upon a hard impact. It completely breaks to point of using shockwave. I lost count of the amount of time other cars hammered on from the side, broke my shockwave and left me to get knocked down by another.

Maybe not many know but they removed a bit good rewards from the milestone like c1 wildcard, which is really useful for a lot of things including halving the cost for upgrading DS c car

I'm so happy you finally touched on this because i made the same comment on your last video. Classic MP is basically unplayable because newer players are locked out of tiers for not having the required cars to progress and then we have to use the weaker cars we'd never normally use. I've been stuck on silver 2 since..AND THESE MF PLAYERS ON OTHER PLATFORMS PLAY VERY DIRTY. Thwey knock you down so much that you either have to knock them down first before they get you..or just rage quit..mfs playing like it's BURNOUT..I'm sick of this...fully

I understand the frustration and the desire for revenge. But then the race degenerates into a round of bumper cars. No racing skill rrequired. I'm over the frequent kds. Not uncommon to suffer two or three kds per race. Quit that crap people. Let's just race straight up.
It happened to me when I played multiplayer, and I got a connection error and that's why I won't play multiplayer again.

I have an idea about new MP system which I think will solve issues in the new mp1.
1)Instead of grouping cars on the basis of ranks we group cars of same class and ranks together. Bronze league will contain D class, silver c class, gold b class, Platinum a class and legend s class cars
2)Leagues will be divided in 4 tiers IV, III II and I. Will contain cars like following in that respective league(class) IV - Low ranked D class cars (like KTM, Lancer )
III- Low to Mid D class cars
II - Mid to High D class cars
I- High D class cars
this can be done for every class
3)League mixing between tiers like bronze IV, III and between leagues should be off to make it fair.
4)To avoid spamming of lower league cars in legend league (GS, Vanda, Huracan, etc.) the players using these cars should only be awarded series score and not rating to promote using cars the player is in.
a) These players rating should be capped at the rating they entered the new league/section.
b) This will make it viable to use low s class cars in legend league IV without A, B class cars.
5)For players who don't have any cars available in the tier they have reached a free try car at 2/3 stars should be given so they can somewhat compete. (like in pursuit mode where car rank is capped) Players who have that car higher than 2/3star should be allowed to use their own vehicle.
6)This will promote player to have a best car in every tier of every class to climb leaderboard and expand his/her garage.
7)On next season players rating will not shift to zero but the lowest rating in that league for e.g., if player ends the season at platinum II , on next season he/she will start at lowest rating in plat IV.
8)Series score gained should at least be 75 in bronze league for winning a race (it is 30 in new MP Format for bronze league) for silver 125, gold 175, plat 225, and legend league 325
a) this will make it easy to grind series score for players who can’t reach higher leagues to not miss out on rewards.
I am in plat III as of now. Just going to grind series as I don't have any cars offered in higher tiers.
