Ever up in Eastern Oregon, I got 40 acres of Ancient Lake Idaho shore.
Agate, Thunder eggs, obsidians, metamorfed Quartz, Petrolium included quartz, coprolites and everything else. Would love to let you look, keep all you want, and help me figure out, How it all got dumped here. Just let me know.❤

I agree. Some people just don't get it... it takes hard work and perseverance and an understanding of geology helps a lot. Some people just want to be spoon fed giant agates 😂
I like to scout for MY OWN areas, and then I have more appreciation for my hard work when it pays off 🎉

I would love to know what you think of the history of South Central Missouri and the Calderas that were here and the activity it has seen in the last billion years. Like why is all the chert/agate/chalcedony that has popped up from erosion fractured… from earthquakes?, etc just curious if you know…. Thank you for being you 💕

Every rock has a name... know their name and they will reveal themselves.

I live in a part of Florida that has very few rocks. It's mostly crushed coral and shells that our ground is made of. But near me is a beach that has a LOT of agate. Sometimes I go there and just spend five minutes filling my back pack with agate after being on the beach for a minute or two. I got home and usually I don't get geodes but sometimes I do though most of the time they are already broken. Our agate has a lot of blue and white banding which I sometimes turn into jewelry.

I've been hunting for hours only to walk back to my truck and see something on the ground next to my truck 😅. I've been on pay to dig sites and watch people looking lost couldn't find anything as they were stepping all over garnets and rubies. Maybe they were looking for the store bought types?

Why do people think Devil's Tower in Wyoming is an old petrified tree stump? Isn't it rock from the original earth base?

Na- in places where rocks are known- it’s magical how much they produce- not all but most that I’ve been to! U couldn’t take all of them even if u wanted!
