✂️ MATERIALS: 🎨
• 1 LARGE Cardboard BOX (I used an AMAZON Box)
• Streamers: 1 Cream Roll & 1 Black Roll from Dollar Tree (More if you’ d like to add MORE layers for a thicker exterior)
• Tissue Paper - Dollar Tree (I used: yellow, red, blue, green & pink)
• String OR yarn
• Cardstock Paper -Dollar Tree. (Colors used:
Black, white, beige or brown, red & glitter blue.)
• Large glue gun. I used Gorilla Glue gun & Glue sticks! Make sure you use stronger hold glue!
• Ribbon (Dollar Tree)
• Razor Blade
• ELMERS Glue- I used 2 Bottles
• Small & Larger Paint Brush
• Boxing Tape: OPTIONAL
(I didn’t use it but you can add for extra reinforcement by adding tape, wrapping it around the box a couple times)

I have never heard of a “POSADA” Party. I’m sure it’s colorful and festive! I would love to go to one. So glad you are showing this. My daughter makes one for every birthday of my granddaughter. This last year she used so much tape no one could break it with a metal baseball bat! Very humorous.

Pousada Party sounds very interesting. I have never heard of this before even though I married into a Mexican family. Your pinata is very professional looking and you did a great job on it. I've made hundreds of those flowers for different occassions.

I will have to ask my daughter & her hubby about a POSADA party! He is half Mexican & their daughter has learned Spanish & my daughter has as well. They have had pinatas nearly every year but some of them have been so tough to bust the men coudnt even get it to bust! Hilarious!!! TFS Stay safe & GOD bless!!!😉💖

Beautiful work. I have just finished the number 7. With your help a ninja pinata next. (Twins) after that. Decorating them.
I am a maker/crafter/glitter and glue all day kinda gal. To solve the glue issue when there was no large gun coming. I googled it. Now I use a small cast iron pan to melt the glue sticks. I use a long handled spoon to distribute. I use my camping hotplate in the studio to keep the glue warm so i can finish a project so much faster. Thank you. You video helped.

I am so glad I found your channel. I don't have an instagram account. We have a missionary family that is from Mexico; but are in Aruba now. They are coming for a visit in January. I make a piñata for my grandchildren every year. I do the paper-mache method. I tried the method you have done but the children were not able to break it. I am intrigued with this method and how easy and less messy it would be to do but really wonder how it will be to break into. Thank you.
Hi Dianna! Maybe use a less thick box :) Something not too, too thick depending on the ages. In my case, we’d use with adults and we normally cover the eyes with a handkerchief for extra excitement lol. So yeah, I’d suggest you use a thinner (but not too thin) box. Hope that makes sense. I will also be sharing a papier-mâché method, But it sounds like you already know that one🙈 I’ll also try to incorporate a Piñata DIY with a less thick cardboard.
