There’s quite a bit of fine tuning they need to do to make this sombra work. 1) The big one being transolactor cool-down being too long. Whether they reset the cool-down after a kill, or doing damage speeds it up, or being out of invis makes the cool-down faster (similar to venture’s dash) 2) I really feel like the time you’re revealed when hit in stealth is too long. One D Va pellet fully revealing you for what feels like ages? It’s a death sentence, especially in combination with the trans cool-down. 3) They should revert the invis detection radius back to pre rework size. If she has a set time she can be invis there’s no point in the radius being so huge. 4) Hack. It’s too easy to interrupt now that you need to play her as a more of a frontline DPS. This is probably the least important change in my list, but it would be a nice QoL one. Make it have a damage threshold or something, that you need to take at least x damage before it cancels. Make it so you need to actively shoot at her, and not just accidentally get hit by a stray bullet intended for someone else.

uh no. They should go back to OG Sombra and make Stealth an ability on a timer, and since they'll insist on keeping Virus, make Virus hack(a suggestion Rilo, a Sombra youtuber made). Keep the 20% damage buff it gives, and get rid of the DOT. She shouldnt have both a DOT and a damage buff, it's too much damage.
@@SombraWizard I am personally fond of the idea of having stealth on a resource since it will encourage Sombra to use LOS and cover to conserve and restore her resources while maintaining her ability to have a choice in map mobility. This will limit her stealth in such a way that it is on the player to use her kit well over just giving her a more limited time. I also think making hack and virus into one ability to make virus more of her utility and not her damage will make limit her damage output. Finally, I am not a fan of opportunist damage buff because it slowly becomes a tank busting tool over something to boost her assassination ability. I would rather see like a spread reduction or falloff reduction to make it not Sombra discord orb.

I feel like once people know how to play against her then she won't be able to do much of anything. It'll probably minimize her output quite abit because she'll be looking for an opening that can be shut down so easily that the game is essentially 4v5 as the Sombra is just being G checked off cooldown. I do feel like a more "stick by the team" midrange dps with moments of flanking in an already winning fight is whats going to happen.
I am noticing that with the new Sombra gameplay you have to be very aggressive with engagement and you cant setup as you would before also lots of hacking and running away or hacking a health pack to either play around to secure an elimination. Also believe Widow players are happy that this is the new Sombra because they dont have to worry that much about getting dived while sniping its just my observation great video btw.
I think she is fine in terms of gameplay, she just needs small buffs/tweaks, I heard someone say maybe give her translocator back after a kill and that might work, or just lower the cd of it. Overall I feel its a good rework to remove infinite invis. I also think giving her back the old translocator would be a mistake because it will bring back the issue of her being hard to punish if its not camping the translocator but idk
Nah just give her back old transporter where it could be placed for an indefinite time. Before she back in the day they said she couldn't have infinite cooldown invis and trans. Now she has neither and just sucks. They should have at least given her back original trans if they wanted invis to have a timer again
@@Cupcake-xw9jy no they said they didn't like giving her both, more over given her lack of self-sustaining ability she can't commit to most fights. Unless you get the jump on the enemy, which is REALLY hard to do atm, she will lose most engagements more often than not.
i had a couple of really good games with her recently as well and im in such a disagreement with every comment i see abt sombra being "dumpstered" now. she feels hella strong with the 20% damage buff after hack re added. and with timed stealth, you just need to play somewhat more cautiously which isn't an issue unless you don't know how to play around cover at all.
i do agree as a diamond 3 player with what he sead at the end of the vid but! i don't think this aplies to medal ranks i think they are still gonna strugle and that they are gonnain a lot, and since they are the majorety of the player base... i think sombra is indeed gonna get nerfed even more btw i'm a sombra otp, these nerfs did not effect me and tbh with my playstyle this even helped me be even more proactif in fights so... yeah thats my opinion ;3

Sniper players where complain about Sombra players taking them out and forcing them to leave or get off the sniper if you knew how to get Sombra you won't be complaining.
Seems like a healthier Sombra on the long run. She might receive a couple buffs, but this aggressive play style on her isn’t so bad. Perhaps a longer stealth might help her, 8 seconds maybe? Why it’s healthier is at least, it gives the enemies a fair fighting chance compared to before. And of course, lesser spawn camping over support heroes.

I actually really love this rework so far. I have to disengage with the rest of my team, and the flow is definitely different but thats a good thing. She's like the others now, Im actually able to feel the "tug of war" of overwatch as her. Before I could just be anywhere I wanted without having to really work for it, and it created a pretty selfish playstyle for me for the most part. Now I have to use cover and play around my team, which her kit has always centered around following up on your teammates. This new kit really encourages that playstyle I feel. It's great, they did a good job. And awesome gameplay
Thats basically the biggest problem. I dont want to my mains be like other characters. If I play sombra is because I like the real sombra, the one from OW1 and Ow2 pre virus or even with the virus... But they need to delete the virus and this rework

Similar to sombra and how invisibility is her "resource". Now it has more weaknesses and a clear rotation like the other heroes. Creating a more even flow throughout the match. Overwatch is all about time management, and they both essentially had infinite time. I liked sombras previous versions too, and Ive defended permanent invisibility before, not her ow1 counterpart as much though since i didnt like how translocator was. But yeah this is by far my most favorite version of sombra. I get that a lot of people are grieving their favorite versions of their mains, especially what got them interested in the first place. I just so happen to be the kind of person who really enjoys change. I like how these new limitations force me to be more creative than before

Flanking shouldn't be too easy anyway. It should require proper coordination and commitment. Flanking being an easy noncommittal task is definitely an unbalanced exchange

The reason why some players pick sombra is because she can get to widow or slow down a tracer. Widow especially because she has infinite range and damage she can easily reposition you can go look at the top 500 and see the widow as a highly picked hero and before you oh just pick widow to counter widow then you really don't understand the game not everyone is good at sniping so they will pick a her to make them switch off. Heck even Ash is annoying because of her longer range and her ult getting the Tank passive. I personally don't mind Widow the way she is but don't tell me sombra is annoying I find Mei to be annoying than her nice try but no.
next developer update: Sombra do too much damage. Reduce damage to hacked target to -20%.

1 second reveal for being shot at out of 5 seconds is definitely way too long ive noticed, should be like 0.5 or less if possible
trans should have a discounted /shortened timer if you don't use the full stealth so you can be refunded quicker and have your escape
