Another lovely, local walk. Shame the weather let you down somewhat. Glad to see you had a day pack with you! Some fantastic images within your video and at the end of your video. Not at all jealous. I am lying...of course I am! Keep safe, keep healthy and keep sane. Cheers. Ken
Cheers Ken - and yes, I had a pack with me this time! And despite the weather, it actually helped me discover yet another great route locally, so a bonus! Thanks for watching!
Great video. Plenty of local places that i hadn't visited until the lockdown. Really looking forward to being able to explore Dartmoor once we are allowed to travel again. Merrrvale is next on my list to explore and wildcamp. Hope your and your family are coping well in these trying times. ATB .Josh
Yeah, it certainly makes you appreciate what we have on our doorsteps, but as you say, I think we are all keen to finally get back out there and explore further afield. You will love Dartmoor, but it's not going anywhere. Thanks for watching, stay safe!
Yea, I went back in the week, but to be honest I freaked a bit. The weather was better but I had a change of heart and bottled it. Didn't know if I was flouting the rules a little so took a different route again, you can see that next week, It'll probably get busy up there over the next couple of weeks now, after Bojo's statement.
Enjoy it Trev, Looks a fantastic area to isolate in. That quarry was amazing, Shame the weather wasn’t great for you but still a enjoyable watch, Cheers Joe.
Again a lovely walk in an open and green area :) And beautiful photos at the end :) Thank you for giving me the 1st place among the last video's stunning photos :-) Hahaha, you are very welcome to visit and to take some walks here in quite different environments from your own :) But I really hope there will be no more need for isolation!!! :-) I took the same hike again yesterday with a friend. Sunny and freezing cold and strong wind and a sudden cloud with snow for a few minutes. We have had a little snow today as well but luckily it didn't last. It is pretty chilly for being in May.
Wow! Still snowing over there?! To be honest, the temperature here has dropped so much this week that it wouldn't surprise me if we had snow too. Thanks for watching!
@@SummitOrNothing They say that it is a cold wind from the North Pole which is making us freeze right now. Perhaps it also goes as far as the UK. We normally don't have snow in May in Southern Norway, but it happens. And it doesn't last for long :-)
Thanks Kathy - yeah, it is a lovely part of the world. The first part was the same area as last weeks walk, which looked even more stunning in the brilliant sunshine we had then. Thanks for watching!
Another great video Trev. We are so very lucky to have circular walks like this right on our doorstep. You make a very good point about exploring areas closer to home as we miss out on so much in our haste to explore wider areas.
Funny, we had the hottest day of the year yesterday, sat outside in the garden till 22.00 last night but woke up to 15C less than yesterday, rain, wind and a dully misty old day. Not complaining, we are alive, healthy and compared to so many others, dam lucky. Your walk was still a nice walk out and very enjoyable, especially when you kept on mentioning nipples! Nice when you can get a good walk out and not see anyone else, every no and again, I really enjoy a solo walk like that. Nice view of the castle and would have been could to have a look around the old ruins......women lol! I hope you are all keeping safe and well down there, cheers Alan
Yeah, thats a big difference over night - hopefully that'll pass soon so you can get your BBQ back out haha! We are lucky where we are situated, some really interesting walks around us, and we keep on finding more. Take care, bud. Thanks for watcing!
Your so lucky living in Devon , i can't wait to get back there as my Mum lives near Kingsbridge and i have family in Torcross my ancestral home. Last time i walked and a bit of wild camping was over wydicombe way ( if i have splet it correctley ) , enjoyed and a bit jealouse 👍👍👍
Hi Paul - sounds like you may be able to travel soon, as long as we do it responsibly I imagine it will do us the world of good. Thanks for watching, glad that you enjoyed it! Cheers!
That hill going out of Okehampton is a killer ! I walk this route regularly with my dogs. Great vid as always.👍👍 P.S. you walked straight past my house at the end. You could of popped in for a cuppa in gge garden 2 metres apart of course. 🤣
Hi Trev. Long time no see. Do you think that the kids will like to do Snowdonia? It would be great to see what they think. I know they have already done Zugspitz. Snowdonia should be great for them.
Heh, Joe! How ya doing? I'd like to think that they will tackle some Snowdonian mountains with me at some point, although they had the help with ski lifts over in Germany. Hope you're keeping safe and well, thanks for watching!
Hi there, i need to start walking more but early mornings are tricky 😉.. anywho, can yiu tell me exactky which make and model camera you use please. The quality of the video is excellent. Is it waterproof or do you use a cover? Great video. Thanks in advance. Paul
The camera I use is a Panasonic HC-VX1 ( amzn.to/3dAhXQ6 ), which also shoots in 4K although I just use 1080HD as I dont think my laptop would handle the editing. Maybe I should have a look and see though. I also use Sony Vegas to edit and have finally figured out the settings to get a better quality than I had in the past. Hope that helps. Thanks for watching, Paul.
@@SummitOrNothing brilliant.. thank you... I live near Yelverton and looking forward to this lockdown being lifted when appropriate so we can get out camping! Thanks again..
