i booked a show with these guys in like 1998,no one came out,it was in a little dive bar,but they did a show like this, clash of the tartans tour,in the top 5 of rock and or roll showers in my life
The first time I saw the McKenzies play was at my favorite bar in downtown Albuquerque, Memorial Day, 2012. They skipped out on the last day of Punk Rock Bowling in Vegas. No one knew they were coming, and it was such a great intimate show. They were sitting around with us outside before... And somehow I invited Paul to have a drink with me after most everyone had left. I really can't recall our conversation (too many shots of Sailor Jerry) but I guess I cranked it up to 11! All I fondly remember is his tongue in my mouth, and when I asked, all slick as you please, if I turned him on, he growled in his brogue, "Cain't ya feel mah harrrrd cuk prrrress'd againssst ya?"
