My son is 7 and has never gotten confused with the lowercase b and d before. He just recently just started to get confused but I’m thinking it’s because he is in a hurry and does not notice it.

That makes a lot of sense! They are also always looking at the pictures to guess the words instead of sounding out. I have faith it will all work out!
