I thought this vlog could be a great way to expand and show you guys some other aspects of my life, because I do a lot more than create content! Since starting my journey with full-time content creation, I QUICKLY learned that it takes a bit more than posting about myself & my life, to fulfill me.
Giving back and helping others is something that not only benefits my sobriety and my mental health, but it’s also what fills my soul. I’m sure you could tell from this video, speaking to teens and young adults is one of my biggest passions in life, bc thats when I needed help the most.
So I hope you enjoy. 🩶 Xx

Drug education is VITAL for young people. For our future generations who are growing up in a world where drugs are more dangerous than ever. Kids need to hear real, relatable stories like this instead of just "don't do drugs" or "drugs can ruin your life". Teenagers and college-aged adults need to learn about harm reduction, the disease of addiction, mental health and self-worth, all of it. Chris Herren came to speak at my high school when I was a teen and I remember it being super impactful for a lot of us. Abbey you are an amazing speaker doing amazing work!!! THANK YOU!

I wish someone came to my school back in 2015-2018. They only ever cared about P0rŇ addiction but never drugs because Utah is deemed perfect. I wish someone like you would have told me what path I would be lead down in addiction as a young teenager, something like this could have saved my life, it took a near death experience and 5 years now of sobriety to keep me alive. What you do is so important Abby, I wish I could have heard this when I was 17, drug addiction is a real my high school shoved it under the rug made it easier to be faded at school because like I said they were hyper focused on one serious addiction they need to bring light to others. It took 6 years to get my life back. Watching you everyday keeps me going. Thank you Abby, I know you won’t read this but my parents recently got sober as well after being addicts until I was 23. You continue to inspire my family and I. The love I have for you is so strong, thank you for saving lives. What you do is so important and so needed.

I’m now pregnant with a girl which is a miracle bc our genetics it should have been a boy, and we will name her after his sister and middle name after his mother who passed 5 years ago in their honor. Please never stop speaking and spreading awareness. He has also lost his uncle and brother to heavy drinking, my grandfather passed from alcoholism. So people like me really appreciate it❤️

If you don't respond to this, that's okay. I honestly wish you could come to our school and talk about this. My dad has been a drug addict since he was 19 and has been in and out of jail and prison since he was 20 (he is currently 43 and still doing the same things). I currently do not have a relationship with him anymore because of his drug abuse. My mom has been my support system through this whole thing. It warms my heart knowing that you changed for the better and is now able to talk about your experience with drug abuse and alcoholism and let teenagers know how serious this is. Thank you so much for doing this.

Don't focus on where your not at in life and focus on the things/blessings you have right now 💯 and that will help to change your mindset to look for the positives and not the negatives (this was one thing that helped me) but also reach out for help, talk to someone... You did absolutely amazing, I know this is something I would’ve needed. Not just some speech but one like the one you gave. You’re truly doing something amazing. I know things still happen and you may not feel like you have it all figured out or just simply overwhelmed with all the new responsibilities in your life but you’re doing amazing. You’re handling it amazing, it’s not just the material success but the growth you’ve made as a person. I know you’d give anything to have not caused the pain you did before because I would too, but it happened one way or another and now you’re saving and changing lives. I know it doesn’t take away the guilt of the lives you did hurt and the memories you can’t erase for you or others but the impact you’re having truly means something. It’s important, don’t ever forget that. No matter how hard it may feel for a period of time.

I’m so happy for you and inspired so much by what you’re doing and how you’ve overcome your hardships. My mom is an alcoholic and my grandfather died from alcoholism. I have struggled with my own addictions and have felt so hopeless and insecure because of them. Especially when it comes to motherhood and being a young mom. I felt like no matter how hard I tried no one took me seriously or when it did happen it was a rare occurrence. You are proof to me that you can be a strong, confidents successful, and respectable woman and mother without having to hide your story or struggles. But instead owning them and taking it upon yourself to change your and your daughter’s story. I’m sure she is and always will be so proud to call you Mom. ❤-Megan

I just wanted to say that what you said in the speech was so powerful. I always thought that you had to be in a home where drugs and alcoholism was strong to be into stuff like that yourself. I never knew that one can go still be into those addictions if they lived a fairly "stable" childhood. I don't use any substances, or drank, and never plan to, but this really has opened my eyes up to what the causes are. I know I'm the type of person to be impulsive, and I know I'm the type of person to be looking for thrill in my emotions, so I'm defo staying away from alcohol, even if it's just one drink. I cried a little hearing the talk. It's beautiful to see someone recover and change their life for the better. Keep at it!!! I've seen your shorts floating about, but never really gotten invested, you got a subscriber!!! I've also seen some videos with your daughter, and this feels like such a warm and fuzzy family

I am soooo super proud to hear you speak! I am in recovery as well, this past March has been 3 years for me and my husband. As well as having to go through brain cancer diagnosis with our first daughter, we were in the crucial part of our recovery. We decided to get clean before we found out our daughter's diagnosis. That was purely God talking to us and telling us we had to be strong for her and her sister! And now here we are 3 years clean and she is 6 months in remission! I have ALWAYS wanted to speak on the struggle of addiction and also addiction in marriage and overcoming addiction and being stronger than ever in our marriage. And i also have a unique spin to going through my daughter's brain tumor and also taking care of a high schooler that just turned 16. (her younger sister). Anyway i have always wanted to give back and speak on my unique journey but due to just purely not knowing how to go about it and such....but i am so proud of you and how well you handle yourself and how natural it comes to you to want to help orhers. You can hear the passion in your voice and from your heart!❤

I almost passed from an overdose about 2 months before my 17th birthday, technically i did die buut I was brought back. It was the worst week I’ve ever had to live through, 3 days in icu partly in medically induced coma, and 3 days in a pediatric psych ward. The peds icu was lovely, the psych ward was awful. Having to hear my mama cry on the phone to me, and having everyone find out I was struggling was gut wrenching. I am now going on 23, and I am going on 3 years fully clean of those substances🎉Please pleeease if you’re reading this, whatever situation you are in, reach out!! Either someone you know and trust, or a hotline, just anyone. You do not have to do this alone.

Benzos grabbed ahold of me for about 3 years. 17-20 I was hooked . I had seizures getting off of them. I was prescribed them as well and drank while taking them as well. I woukd stay up all night on them and sometimes drive 30 minutes to do random stuff because they made me so manic I wouldn’t even sleep at some points. They truly do make you feel euphoric and like nothing could put you down. I look back on the things I’ve put my boyfriend through and he was with me through all of my addiction until I withdrawed and until now being fully better. I am thankful for him for sticking by my side through all my struggles
