This is so pedantic and I love it. Idk if I will ever be this detail oriented when it comes to counting calories but honestly I learned a lot here. Like I had no idea that the desktop MFP site was any different than the mobile app. I didn’t even know there was a desktop site LOL thanks for the tips Juli!
I used to track my calories by hand as well since I was like 16 and I'm now 40. Also in my planner. 😂 I also had a ridiculously low threshold of 1200 calories and 30 grams of fat that I just arbitrarily chose....If only I knew then what I know now my body would probably be better off metabolically. I have used MyFitnessPal for a decade and now focus a lot on balancing my macros (if fat is high, lower carbs; if carbs are higher, lower fat-aim for 100g of protein a day). However, I don't weigh myself and just have a particular pair of size 29s I use to gauge if I need to clean up my eating or maintain the status quo.

I use MFP for free, but without the scan. I miss the scan, but honestly there are so many things already loaded you can usually find what you need-or estimated.
How do you do intuitive eating and also calorie count? I do intuitive eating so that in itself makes it impossible to be on a set number of calories. I calorie counted in high school but now find so much freedom in eating what my body needs and not micromanaging what the calories are. Makes my mind feel caged to the system!
branded as Paleo... eats decidedly not Paleo; against inflammatory oils but is sponsored by Magic Spoon...there are lots of inconsistencies. but still lots of good content and recipes.
This is way too much work! I just portion control with my eye and don’t go for seconds when it comes to gourmet richer type foods. And like you said don’t eat these foods that often!
