When in college in 1969, I met a guy who had one and told him how my dad had one, and that I had rolled it when I was in the 3rd grade driving it around the farm. After telling him the story, he suggested that I might like to buy it since I had a story like that. He wanted $300 dollars for it but I had no money. He said he would wait to sell it to me if I wanted to get a student loan for college, thus having the funds for it. It's one of the few things I didn't sell off through the years and I still have it. Shifting it takes a bit of patience and talent and the doors rattle like crazy on graveled roads but I can't tell you how much I love it. A boy will always love the rig he learned to drive in. RIP dad, I wish I could take you for a ride in mine after wrecking yours.
That’s a beautiful old truck. Lucas makes some good products for old transmissions. I had a 47 dodge with a crank out windshield and a crank start. It made a big hit at gatherings.
Beautiful truck. I have a 45 iam restoring. The sycronizers arent shot fella. They didn't have any. Double clutch that old girl and those gears will just fall into place.
Sam, one of the characteristics of this world is, you can have a genuinely perfect showpiece and there will always be someone who will give you a thumbs down. Pay no attention to such people. (though I think you probably already know your pickup is top notch and don't pay attention to them) Your pickup is gorgeous.
Please double clutch into reverse and first otherwise you will wear out the gears and shift fork. That transmission is only synchronized in second and third.

you're still running though
Una belleza
Appreciate you watching 👀
i have one like this, your front running lights dont work?
Pretty truck, but you need to learn how to double clutch. I've got pretty much the same truck and you don't want to be scraping those gears like that.
Please double clutch into reverse and first otherwise you will wear out the gears and shift fork. That transmission is only synchronized in second and third.
From seeing and hearing the video on this Chevy truck, it sounds like the synchronizing in the transmission is shot, and needs to be overhauled.
What kind of engine is that?
216 most likely
Que hermosa!
What's it worth?$$$
