Rappers take note, this is how you perform live, listen to Biggie, he's not SHOUTING he's rapping them the same volume as when he recorded them.
Hell yeah ! Plus one to that comment !
Also take note how he has his own flow and ain't mumbling shit.
I remember this. Was 16, not even old enough to be in the place. But got in sed way. Vibes was a mad ting. I had a horn an big bag of herbs. Rest in power Notorious BIG
I miss BIG. He was truly IT.
i bet they didnt have any monitors either...nowdays pussy rappers rap over doubled background and they still shout in mic
RIP Biggie

@@Keezie27 smh I'm saying
So was I, I remember that Sunday at Hammersmith Palais as if it was yesterday. Tim Westwood 's launch Party going to Radio 1 and it was only £8 pounds
I was there, it was at the then Hammersmith Palais wow can't believe watching it again 😢
Yeah and I was at Woodstock 😂😂😂
Before Grime and Drill, there was this. This is bars, lyrics, swag, charisma, humour, flow, delivery. This is... the greatest MC of all time.
yeah his style does seem UK based. I wish he came to London instead LA the day he got shot. That what was meant to happen.
Crowd didn't know how fucking lucky they was man!!
The camera was everywhere else but on big lol.
Mr. Ivory Snow how can it not be? He is bigger than an elephant! 😁
Biggie was supposed to be in London the day he got killed, but Puff changed their plans and he ended up being in Cali instead. If only he did come to London like he was originally supposed to...
most London people dont have guns
if biggie made that original travel to london he's gonna be murder anyway.. just cause being in the same size of that sissy snake of puff daddy, he put the shoot on pac and then has the responsability for gift biggie to the arms of revenge.. that bitch was the only one who deserve to die many years ago.. and also suge, fuckers who take us the two best rappers
@@hestitate4902 Actually back then you'd be surprised at the amount of people in London that had guns in the 90s. Even Tim Westwood got caught up in a drive-by shooting in 99'. It's much less now of course.
@@SuperGooner15 oh.... This is fucked up. British Police don't have guns. I
nmorgan24 biggie asked to stay so he basically killed himself
Probably the most valuable clip on RUclips!
I would die to see this live... one and only BIG, biggest respect
I had NO idea Biggie even stepped his feet in London UK

so many memories , s/o to westwood from bringing the heat back in the 90's
I was There That Night Biggie Smashed it!, Two things i do remember, Westwood had played an hour warm up set before The show started, he played so many hit tracks of the day, that we were dancing like mad, so when the show started we were all knackered, lol i remember that we had to re energise, which is what biggie did, he really did have stage presence, and compared to craig mack who had a hit out at the time , craig faded into the background. the 2nd strange moment i remember, is when me and my crew left the building soon as the show ended as to avoid the traffic jam of exiting patreons, we came to a set of traffic light on foot, waiting to cross over the main rd, to our surprise a limo pulled up at the lights and the from passenger window wound down, guess who was sitting in that seat? Biggie, his team must have had the same good common sense to leave the venue straight away, as to not get stuck in traffic, my boys were dumbstruck they stayed stush as we used to stay, offering no salute not gratitude , I’m sure they were surprised, if not confused as 3 mins before he was on the stage entertaining us, I personally did say , big up for entertaining us, while putting my fist over my heart, he responded with a grateful nod, almost as to say, why they so silent didn't they like the show? the opposite was true of course, R.I.P B.I.G a Fallen star that we felt when it burned bright!!
I WAS AT THIS SHOW THANK GOD
highfived Lucky

Legendary
Biggie was from a different type of stock, they don’t make that type no more.
Great talent.
Beautiful
wow im humbled watching this footage. biggie was a great performer u can hear every single word to come out his mouth with super clarity. long live the legacy of the greatest rapper of all times notorious b.i.g. :)
Yes Suh! Grew up on all of the old 🏫 shit. But it was only until when I heard biggie for the first time, he had hooked. He's the rawest, and most sickidest rapper, I've ever heard/ seen ✋ ✋ down period! Now regarding the artists of today who are receiving the rankings as the world's best. Ex., Kanye, Nas, Em, or whoever. I'm placing good behind their names, but great? C'mon people, get your head out of your asses! Guess everybody is entitled to their opinion?
I was there priceless
Damn, wish I was alive to go to this, RIP B.I.G
I'm feeling you on that one!
This is epic. My south London g'z were the loudest, they held it down from early - even biggie knows! Would of been a dream come true to be there..
He said this was the best venue he ever performed at.
legend.... RIP biggie
All in the videos, all on the records, dancin'...
All up in the prison system. dropping bars of soap in the shower on purpose N' shit!
Rahh showsec have been there from time. I'm proud of the company I work for.
RIP King. Shit is still sad till this day.
Damn the crowd lookin stiff... they couldn't of showed more love than that for B.I.G....smh
Its london man
The crowd was very very loud, but they have to actually be recorded for you to he able to hear them properly. i.e. there has to be multiple mics set up all around the crowd. That's what's done for live albums by bands and artists. But for just a video of a live gig that was never supposed to be released and sold as a commercial product, they don't bother with all of that. You can hear when biggie tells every lady in the house to chant, the girls are all yelling at the top of their voice, but you can barely hear it, because the crowd wasn't mic'd up. There was no such thing as a dead crowd in the UK in the 90s. The problem was in the other direction, UK crowds were notorious (heh) back then for being drugged to the gills and going mental for like 10 hours in a row, and then doing it all again the next weekend.
The UK is the best place in the world for music. But yeah, you have to actually mic up the crowd if you wanna be able to hear them, because of the way microphones work. They usually aren't very good at picking up sound more than a foot away. They're designed specifically for that, in fact. Because otherwise no singer or rapper could ever perform in front of a crowd because their voice would he drowned out by everyone else. But microphones work by only picking up sound that's very very close to them. So yeah. For any live album by a band or artist that you've ever heard, the crowd were mic'd too, with tons of microphones dotted around the venue, and then that sound was mixed in with the band's performance so as to not drown out the music (usually the crowd noise is put at a far lower level while songs are playing, and then are raised up again in between songs so you can hear the cheers and applause, it's all part of mixing a track properly). If you just took a single video camera to film a gig, like with this Biggie gig, then you'll only hear the band/artist, you won't hear the crowd, because the crowd aren't mic'd
in my city wowwwwww
R.I.P NOTORIOUS B.I.G
