    If there is ever a how to guide to live your life with a couple of chapters about catching fish in it. it will be based on you sir! I love the fact that not only have you made thousands upon thousands of people better anglers, you also give us a spiritual road map that most folks may not even notice they are getting. I am in awe of you sir, you inspire me to be better and I truly appreciate it. Bless you and your family Richard, cannot wait to see the next episode!

    Richard, nice video!! We use the exact same bait on the Detroit river but the only difference is size of tail and jig head. Four inch tall and one ounce jigs. Come north this mid April for some world class walleye fishing. Dress warm, it might snow!!!😂😂😂. Keep the videos coming please 🎣🐟🎣🐟😃

    It works as well on the ohio river especially up at the ohio falls at Louisville KY. Caut my first sauger on one with a pink 1/16 jig head a few weeks ago. Thank you for all your content on all species and for your love and proclaimed faith in our Lord Jesus Christ. God Bless and Jesus saves.

      Hey bud I live in Louisville as well. Do you fish the falls from a boat or the bank? I mainly fish lakes with my boat but have always wanted to fish the falls

    • @chriscleveland203
      @chriscleveland203 2 года назад +2

      @@devinmiller2329 I live about an hour south but go up there every chance I can just moved to KY few months ago so not a whole lot of experience at the falls but I've only fished from the bank. From what I've learned from the locals from November tell spring is an amazing time to fish and catch a multitude of species. I've talked to several who fish there often from boats and kayaks and it opens up a lot of areas that are a little difficult to get to or cast to from the bank. One thing I did learn is your not supposed to use a cast net above the bridge I believe. But some Popeyes on a sabiki setup will catch plenty of catfish bait when you find them.

    All I use fishing these days is minnow looking plastic swim baits on jigs. The most over looked aspect of fishing them is rigging them straight so they move/fall naturally, and not "jigging" them up/down but swimming them in a natural motion. Crappie and walleye, I havent bought bait in years.

    Hey Richard love your videos. Keep up the great work. You have a lot of great valuable information. I’ll be applying it to my fishing this upcoming year. Btw I noticed you fish locks like this every now and then. I am looking at getting a boat to fish more often on pickwick which is also on Tennessee river. My question is do they have an alarm for the lock doors similar to warning you when the flood gates are opening? May try to fish some of the locks on my side of the river here in west Tennessee

    I 100 percent believe I catch more fish because of the unwaxed dental floss trick. I catch fish on the 2nd or 3rd hit I often catch fish and the 2nd or 3rd hook set because my bait is always right. I prefer Bobby Garlands and anyone who uses them knows they have to be adjusted after every fish or miss. Of all the tricks I have learned in this channel this is by far the one that has made the most difference. Thanks Richard.

    I've been using these the past 6 months in our local river, not jigging but twitching through the water and they're awesome. I've caught saugeye and smallmouth on them left and right. There's a blue color I just started using a few days ago and it's been producing as well. I've never used the spike it though.

    I use this same ZOOM bait in South Texas, Corpus to be exact, at night, under the lights for feeding Speckled trout.
    I tie on 2 with 1/16 ounce jig heads, cast over the lighted area into the dark, reel-pause-jerk-reel. Cant tell you how many times Ive actually hooked up 2 at a time.
    To be honest, most of the time, these fish are small, young, yearling fish that feed like teenagers. Rare is the keeper, but it is dang fun.
