As a complement to his set of concerts this season at Carnegie Hall devoted to the “late style,” pianist Jonathan Biss gives two public master classes to six young artists on the late solo works of Beethoven, Brahms, and Schubert. The workshop takes place in the Resnick Education Wing in collaboration with the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society. This guy was in a brilliant masterclass with Barenboim. It is fascinating to see that he is now a great professor and pianist and he is having his own masterclass! Awesome.
How a bout Beethoven?-?
pro trick: watch series at flixzone. Me and my gf have been using it for watching lots of of movies during the lockdown.
@Ali Van yup, been watching on Flixzone} for since november myself :D
@Ali Van yea, been using flixzone} for months myself :D
Brilliant teaching & such an impressive student. To be able to start a memorized piece at any measure is also an accomplishment!
John is so genius... I can tell he’s thought a lot about these sonatas. I agree with everything he says and each nugget of wisdom is priceless
Great student!
A wonderful master class! Thank you!
should be GOD BLESS THE GIFT HE GAVE YOU, SCOTT... VI

Scott MacIsaac BRAVO SCOTT.....
SCOTT MACISAAC
Using an iPad instead of a paper sheet music? That's unacceptable. Sorry, i'm 27, but I can't resist changes, old times will always be better.
..absolutely agree!!
Once you’re used to it, it can be extremely convenient!
It’s actually very comfortable. In my personal case, i used to carry so much of paper sheet music in my backpack, which obviously wasn’t good for my back :) In addition, you can leave paper somewhere, forgot or loose them, but you will almost never loose iPad, it’s way to expensive to forget it:-)
@@user-mt1rh9gw8y it's bad for your back if you don't do any sport. Do some back exercises and you'll have no problem carrying the WTC and all Beethoven's Sonatas.
@@vincent-ataramaniko you're absolutely right:)
Piano Master Class of the EXPOSITION of Beethoven Piano Sonata No. 31 in A-flat Major, Op. 110
xD
@@harrybmichell euh no, Mr Biss stops him when he starts playing the development.
I’m worried that people aren’t using paper... it’s truly scaring me haha. I’m 24 btw not that old
@Robert Ashton the tablets are made of what? And need replaced how often?
@Robert Ashton you can get paper from well-kept forests and not be part of deforestation. Also, making a tablet and charging it has an insane energetic cost. You don't need to charge sheets musics every 5 hours on a paper version
Mittlerweile 29 hahaha
A teacher using a tablet instead of the paper score...??😅😅😅
Much easier to travel with as well
I'm not a big fan (at all) of this ultra-expressive way of playing. The greatest pianists were very stoic on the piano and didn't partake in those fancy romantic movements
Oui tout a fait d'accord avec toi jouant une grande partie des sonates je me suis toujours inspiré des anciens moins de chichis le mot est très simple servir la musique le compositeur et surtout ne pas s en servir est faire le clown
