How lovely! Unfortunately, in the UK, we don't have Milkweed. I think I shall have to look for an alternative.

Oh poo! Well we'd all love to know (me especially!) if you're able to come up with a UK material that works. Thanks for watching!

I am surprised the hot glue doesn't melt fishing string.

AGHHH!!! I *STILL* haven't been able to find any MilkWeed Seed Pods!!! I saw where I could purchase some online (Both Artificial/Fake & The Real/Natural ones that are dried out), but it feels like paying for them ...& Paying EVEN MORE to have them shipped... Kinda takes away from The Idea of Creating Eco-Friendly Onaments with All-Natural Materials😕...
*🧐But I'm NOT giving-up yet!🧐* I've been watching your Series showing how to create a Journal with Yarn & For some reason, THIS VIDEO popped up under the "Let's Put it All Together" Video! *I'm Glad I "Accidentally" clicked on this video bc I heard you say Milkweed Pods grow on Your Property, but they also Grow All Along The Road!!! Uhmmm... So, I made NOT 1... BUT 2 "Special Road Trips" just to look for some of those SeedPods! (Nevermind the fact that I absolutely Love Driving & 1of the things I LOVE MORE than driving is Walking Around in Nature when the weather is nice!) Both times, I went to several different Parks, A State Park, A few Walking Trails, The Memorial Battle Ground & I even spent time scoping out a couple of Rest Stops along the Interstate!!!
*Do You Think I ever even THOUGHT ABOUT looking along the sides of the Road for Milkweed?!?!* NOPE! Not while driving down The Highway or down Neighborhood Streets! LOL!!!
I think I'm going to get ready & "Take A Sunday Drive" so I can see if I can find some Milkweed Seed Pods (Or SOMETHING I could practice making Ornaments with!) I think it'd be SO MUCH FUN to incorporate This Craft into Our Family Tradition of "Cookie Day!" (The ENTIRE FAMILY gets together early on a Saturday Morning & EVERYONE Bakes Cookies (& Other Sweet Treats) ALL DAY LONG!!! We ALWAYS make sure EVERYONE gets in on The Fun! (From The Oldest to The Youngest... ~ie: Last year was my Nephews Very 1st Cookie Day; He sat on my lap aa he played with Cookie Dough with his bare hands!!! _Of Course, That specific batch of Cookie Dough never got baked, but at least the Infants lacking enough motorskills to stir or form cookie balls, still got to participate! LOL!)
I think This Kind of Craft would be A PERFECT ADDITION To Our Family's Special Day!!!

Oh man! You're putting in the effort! Keep an eye out along the sides of highways, I've found pods in places I wouldn't have guessed! But I'm lucky that we can grow them (often too many as they reproduce so happily) If you still have trouble getting some, hit me up next season and I will send you some! I love that you tried so hard and that you create with the family!
