      Causes super73 was the first ones to make the scrambler style popular..and competitors came in

    • @jimjr9143

      I have seen this happen before. Companies sell a good ebike. Not enough competition so they stay stagnant . I believe the Sur-Ron is in the same boat. Well a lot of competition came along now , upping the game of performance vs value and these other companies did not advance along with them. Both Sur-Ron and super 73 are great if you put in extra thousands into them. but the problem is much of the new competition are coming out of the box with much better over all performance. While using quality parts.

      This just shows how much super 73 are so over priced, I admit they got that scambler/crosser look, but it's not in the same ball park as the 512, and the top speed will be just the same, leave the 73 in its wake. Loved the short video

      Always admired the Super 73, heck almost got an RX on sale $2700 shipped. At the time compared the Surron light bee, ultra bee, rev 1, etc. The differences between the 512 & most e-bikes is customization/modification abilities being more achievable on most frames.
      That’s not a bad thing, if you don’t mind staying at where the 512 is & not changing, it’s good.
      The 512 is a decent offering; however, it’s a later offering in a fast evolving segment.
      If you’re going to get the 512, do it, but immediately get sign off of SM & be happy with your purchase.

    Super73 needs to get off their ass and start to innovate once again like they first did. You can only ride the hype train for so long before you get dethroned, which is exactly what's about to happen when the 512 comes on the scene!
    You hear that Super73? It's the wind gust of the 512 blowing by you!

      I think the 73 was dethroned long time ago when it comes too overall tests, they are completely trash on hills , even there malibu which was there latest version are useless on any kind of hills. Over priced over hyped ebikes, only distinction 73 has they were probabley the founders of recent years of the re-appearance of ebikes. I will give them the scrambler looking king, but I so prefer the 512 in all areas, plus when it come too top speed the 512 will be in the distance and it look like the 73 has not even got off the line, in my opnion of course

      I first checked out super 73 . 3 months ago. $4300 48v 20ah battery. 750watts . I had to read that a few times to verify i read it right. Just, no way. Now yes it has some quite good parts but very short range. All e-bike companies exaggerate range. 48v 20ah will not get you far. Now compare what you get with this Ristretto. Now, to me the battery is still small. My $4000 scooter uses a quality 72v 40ah pack but still i think i would prefer to get my money back so i could buy this. No can do as all money went to the scooter.

  • @neilcopeland4411
    @neilcopeland4411 10 месяцев назад +3

    The guy said on the drag race he was catching up, errr no you weren't he had too slow down on the 512 because ran out of road at the end, plus the guy on the 73 was pedalling virtually all the way too try and give it leg torque. If this was a proper race the ristretto be out on the wasteland while the 73 be still on the tarmac eating the ristretto dust. S73 crap, they come out with different models using old stock componants but when it comes too the power of the bike they never changing the record, it's still the same old battery/controller and motor. And I think they do this is because they sell them for there appearance of the bike and knowing lots of customers of S73 upgrade them anyway, so it takes the burden off changing the power aspect of the 73 and let the customer take care of that side of it. S73 are way way over priced, if I made comparisons of 73s too other bikes by what they are capable of I price the RX there top model around the $2800 I really would and that's being generous. Ristretto v S73, no match what so ever, and that goes for other bikes much cheaper than 73s, can get other scrambler/moped like ebikes for half the price of S73s and they too would break S73s back for performance. S73 for hill climbing are useless, terrible too.

    I was looking at Ristretto. But the negative was more than the positive about ordering and receiving. It was because of the bike was outsourced with components and built somewhere else. And then customer service nightmares. If you have a solid product like this. Cut out some of the overseas crap. Establish in country capabilities. Otherwise, the consumer is screwed. Business requires an excellent ability to service their product and customer service. If that is unachievable than it will fail.
    First of. You need to look at solid product and backing it up. This is not about someone making a fortune without being honest and screwing people with outsourced crap.
    It may be. If you are going to win the battle in this industry you need to have people who can figure this out. Because of right now. It is not trusted.

      Usually at this price range you will see 60v minimum. My $4000 scooter is 72v 40ah. Battery in this is only 52v 30ah . Selling the battery for $1100 . That’s a lot of money for a small pack. Now, cannot compare to a super 73 as everyone knows stock they are the slowest under powered for there price point , purposely making this Ristretto look crazy fast.
      On the other hand i do like this e-bike a lot and actually wish i could afford it. The mid drive motor is what tends to drive up the price of this. 60v 30ah minimum would make it just right i think and get far more to buy. Do not take my thoughts as negative as i would buy it if i had the funds
