Some people are smart because they were born with a talent for learning. If society wouldn't crush children's creativity and curiosity, maybe this would happen more often.
This is a message to everyone here, if you have children or are planning of having children, PAY ATTENTION TO THEM NO MATTER WHAT, if they say school is boring then take it seriously, if they request to learn something different, start them off with something simple yet interesting.
I aced all my college classes and i thought i was smart until i saw this video. There goes my self-confidence. Btw, im really glad that the parents still allow him to be kid.
It's not just the children that inspire me, it's also the amazing parents who do everything in their power to assist their child in furthering their understanding. Great parents make great kids!
Usually when you see this kid geniuses they seem to be incredibly awkward and have serious social problems, but Tanishq obviously seems to be able to act just like a normal kid. It's a great testament to his parents, allowing him to still have fun and make friends.
Hats off to his intelligent, caring, and supportive family. In order to constantly challenge a person with such talent like Tanishq, they've must have been very active with his interests. I wish all parents all over the world would be able to do this with their children as well. He seems to have a very well rounded life; good for him! Best of luck Tanishq!
I love how he said "its never boring talking to college students." How sweet and innocent. The college intellectual ambiance is relaxing, stimulating, & nurturing for both the body, mind, and soul. It expands & relax our minds. Whether you are 9 or 90 years old - learning is beautiful, calming, & inspirational.
I really think if i was kept away from Girls, TV, Soda, Candy and didn't have worry about family problems and being bullied at a young age, i would perform way better not on his level but not that far apart... wish him the best !!!
Tanishq has two gifts in life: 1) His God-given desire to learn at an accelerated level (and therefore his ability to do so at an early age) 2) His supportive parents...it's clear he would never have these opportunities if it wasn't for their encouragement and dedication to him and his sister. Remarkable. Much kudos to everyone involved in enriching this kid's life.
My mother was told by a psychologist that I would never be able to get married if she allowed me to be put into a higher grade as my school had suggested. I was kept at grade/age level all my school years. i learned nothing in my classes, was not able to communicate with people my own age, but I didn't stop learning. I am incredibly educated but have no certification for it. I am happy that i didn't allow myself to stagnate. I did marry and have children. Now I am writing books. So happy for him
Why dislike the video? This kid is a gem not only is he smart, but most importantly he is a humble person with good intentions to help out man kind in the future.
Why don't neuroscientists gather all these human miracles such as prodigies and savants and actually do some serious studies. We could find out so much about the human mind.
The kid is just lucky that he receives all this opportunities. Most kids his age don't get home-schooled, don't even get raised the same way. His parents can afford college. The kid is missing out on his childhood. He even misses having friends! I'm sure more kids could be as smart as he is with the right parental supervision. You can notice that he is a child just by what he suggests sometimes. But the parents push him (notice the T-shirt he's wearing in the end and the quote, idea of parents?).
The young man is intellectually gifted no denying that at all. It is worth mentioning that most if not all of us can grasp certain concepts that at first glance seem difficult (like cosmology), the only difference is that for "normal" people like us, we would have sit down a little longer to understand it, but its doable. Anything is possible.
Beautiful....Theres no doubt that he is insanely gifted but this video also shows what happens when you remove the walls set by traditional schooling and let kids learn at their own pace. Go Tanishq!!!! :)
When you love what you do it's never looked at as work. Like he said he does it for fun, I love seeing people so deep in their passion because they are truly happy and it glows from them.
Tanishq is not only a brilliant child he is also extremely handsome ;O) He and his sister are gifts to humanity and this makes me smile :O) Please spotlight lovely Tiara as well! She deserves as much praise as her brother (you go girl!) Bravo to the parents. You have quite a challenge keeping these beautiful minds stimulated.
The parents are doing an amazing job keeping his momentum going and exposing him to a wide variety of subjects; also for giving him an way to socialize with kids his age which I feel is just as important. Seeing that his sister is always showing potential, I'd say we're gonna be hearing a lot from the Abraham Family in the decades to come.
I'm supposed my child won't be a prodigy, and I'm really happy about it!! :)) I don't think is goodfor a child to be so much different from peers. Social skills are more important at that age (actually, at any age)
This kid is absolutely brilliant and a great inspiration. The love of learning... doesn't get much better than that. If only this motivation could extend to other students.
Besides how smart he is, what I like about this is that he is not being FORCED to do any of this, his parents just fully SUPPORT him and what he wants to do.
Kid is smart for sure, but video is slightly disingenuous in the way they present where he's at. I'm working my way through an astro PhD right now and the coursework is definitely first year level and not later (though since it's a community college that makes sense). I'm not knocking his knowledge, just noting it sounds a lot more impressive than it really is to those who don't know the topic. I hope his parents figure out how to toe the line of keeping him engaged but not overburdening him.
Haha omg! American River in Sacramento!? I'm friends with a lot of the tennis players there xD, I'm from the Chabot College tennis team and we're close to the ARC team lols. What an odd coincidence the chances of seeing a video about a prodigy that goes to that school lols
Who is also on a marathon of these videos and feel more worthless?
Those kids in his class must feel like shit knowing a 8 year old has the highest grade in there class.
Imagine how all the other students feel
Compared to the other prodigies he acts a lot more to his age...
I can't wait to hear about this kid in the future.

hes a good kid, he dont act like a big head around other kids around his age, And he says his pleases and thank you's lol
"She's my sister, Tiara. She's six years old and that's basically it." I love that he's a genius but still such a kid.
I aced all my college classes and i thought i was smart until i saw this video. There goes my self-confidence. Btw, im really glad that the parents still allow him to be kid.
I would feel really dumb if I was 19 and still in a class with an 8 year old.
I love Tanishq's enthusiasm and passion for astronomy. He is absolutely awesome.
He's so cute. And smart. Real smart.
Young Raj from the big bang theory.
His parents are AMAZING
You can actually see that his own age limits him... cognitive functions are lightyears ahead of his speach center...
real life Sheldon Copper
It's not just the children that inspire me, it's also the amazing parents who do everything in their power to assist their child in furthering their understanding. Great parents make great kids!
And I thought I was smart. *sob
8:08 "he can choose anything he likes, but as long as it keeps him happy" thats just amazing parental support. :-)
Isn't it amazing that concepts which many adults have a difficult time understanding come so easy to this 9 year old? That's wild.
this child is a true blessing from god!!!!!!!!!!!!he could be the hope of this world
Usually when you see this kid geniuses they seem to be incredibly awkward and have serious social problems, but Tanishq obviously seems to be able to act just like a normal kid. It's a great testament to his parents, allowing him to still have fun and make friends.
He may be the only guy alive who could understand women.
Tanishq for president!

If only my parents would've started teaching me since age 1
obviously hes indian...

Inb4 this kid saves the human race from extinction
Very generous! The family is based in California, so not sure if they're looking at schools so far away.
i truly hope this kid goes on to make this world a better place for all human kind
I think he'd probably be a really good president
Was this supposed to be a compliment or insult?
I really think if i was kept away from Girls, TV, Soda, Candy and didn't have worry about family problems and being bullied at a young age, i would perform way better not on his level but not that far apart... wish him the best !!!
The other college students look mad and jealous loool
Could he be any cuter ?

This kid is so inspiring its amazing really :P
Help me with my homework??...NO here, DO MY HOMEWORK!....and I need that back in 10 minutes....lol
Seeing him and the other kids really gives back some hope in this world
Being so young, his imagination probably allows him to grasp extremely difficult concepts. I bet.
rajesh koothrappali ?
SHELDOOOOOOON!
I feel so stupid right now. He will do great things for America. =)
man i hope this kid gets the help he needs! he is awesome and he could end up saving us all one day. :) take care tanishq
Man. Something makes me feel bad for this kid. *sigh* Like, Flowers for Algernon sad.

WOW
This Kid Has A Great Talent On His Hands! I wish i was as smart as him! Im Proud Of Him!! He Will Make A Difference In Life :)
he has a great personality! so humble about his success and a seemingly very happy and healthy little boy.
"I want to build a rocket that goes faster than light!" Almost teared up because don't most kids that age want a xbox?
wow he is amazing!
This kid makes me smile.

Many little Einstein's yet no change of human circumstances.
Beautiful....Theres no doubt that he is insanely gifted but this video also shows what happens when you remove the walls set by traditional schooling and let kids learn at their own pace. Go Tanishq!!!! :)
I would feel so dumb and change my life plans if I was in class w this kid lol.....hope he does some amazing things
When you love what you do it's never looked at as work. Like he said he does it for fun, I love seeing people so deep in their passion because they are truly happy and it glows from them.
I do see him being the president of the USA
yea, how many other 8 eight year olds do you know that are like that.
2:19
Tanishq: this is my sister, Tiara, she's six years old....and....that's about it.
LOL
This kid is smarter than the half of million people who viewed this video. Great upload!
She's my sister Tiara, she's 6 years old... and that's basically it! haha

I'm supposed my child won't be a prodigy, and I'm really happy about it!! :))
I don't think is goodfor a child to be so much different from peers. Social skills are more important at that age (actually, at any age)
kids like this are so needed for our future
can you imagine how much he gets picked on by the other students for being different
This kid is absolutely brilliant and a great inspiration. The love of learning... doesn't get much better than that. If only this motivation could extend to other students.
raj from the big bang theory??
At this rate, he will be contributing greatly for humanity in the foreseeable future.
Hehe, "This is my sister, she's six years old, and that's basically it."
Every time I watch Prodigies I'm like OMG I LOVE THIS KID!
Faith in humanity restored
Besides how smart he is, what I like about this is that he is not being FORCED to do any of this, his parents just fully SUPPORT him and what he wants to do.
we will be hearing of some of his inventions someday, oh and if you do create a spaceship to travel far distances can you take me with you :)
this kid keeps hope for humanity alive...
he's so pure... i really hope he stays like that.
Hope this kid fulfils his dreams. Schools can sometimes. Surpress a kids talent. I am glad his parents listened to this kid and supported him.

It's good to see his parents are so supportive.
smart guy
the ending of the video definitely gave me a tear in my eye... thank god for such opportunities like this for children of the world
DON'T ROB THIS LITTLE BOY FROM HIS CHILDHOOD!!!!
THAT IS THE MOST MOST IMPORTANT LESSON ;D
This kid is awesome! Not only is he super smart, but he's well mannered and seems really friendly. His parents are clearly doing an excellent job! :-)
I dont feel dumb, I am proud of who I am, and the life Im leading (:
Exactly, if he plays video games, he will remember more about them than what he remembers from his books which may in turn make him fail.
Haha omg! American River in Sacramento!? I'm friends with a lot of the tennis players there xD, I'm from the Chabot College tennis team and we're close to the ARC team lols. What an odd coincidence the chances of seeing a video about a prodigy that goes to that school lols
this kind of thinking is what keeps the world round.
