Song was written about Prudence Farrow, Mia Farrow's sister. The Beatles and the Farrow's were all at the same ashram in India for a few weeks, and Prudence wasn't interested in coming out of her tent and socializing.
Very, very cool covers .Theses ladies are so good. Now on to more important things, lol.Ginger you said you don't care for the Beatles, holy cow.I can only assume you enjoy the reactions of people when you tell them that, it's certainly an icebreaker.Amyways thank you two for again turning me on to new artists. Have a great day
Yes these two gals can sing. Have always liked this John Lennon song, even though credited to Lennon-McCartney, since hearing The White Album however being an Aussie I prefer the Doug Parkinson version. ❤️🤘🎸🇦🇺

Great reaction thank you so much!! BTW i hope you still remember Novia Bachmid from Indonesia. Yesterday Novia’s just released her new collab single with Yellow Claw & Weird Genius named “Lonely”, if you don’t mind please react the official lyrics video first on the Weird Genius channel okay & the mv gonna release in 4th April. You can check it on Weird Genius channel: 1. Yellow Claw X Weird Genius Ft. Novia Bachmid - Lonely. I’ll make sure you won't regret watching it hehee!!. Once again thank you for always supporting Indonesian singers. Greetings from Indonesia & Casanovi (Novia’s fanbase).
I prefer hearing the version by Australian Doug Parkinson sing Dear Prudence with a heavy gravel type voice. These girls can sing, but maybe it was the light echoing sound of the girls voices that didn't convince me for this song. lots of people dump on this video because of "poor sound quality" .... (tongue in cheek) I reply "it sounds pretty good for being recorded in an (almost empty) cavern ... next to another (almost empty) cavern .... with a cellphone ....... " just sayin' ....... Luf you guys
Morgan's husband has a bad habit of slapping his strings, he needs to lighten up on the pressure a bit. (or cut it out altogether.) He also loves to play a resonator guitar a lot, and that's a dirty sound as well.
Wow! Not even ONE Beatles song? I'm amazed - but then again I love Aurora and my wife thinks she's meh. BTW have you heard her cover of "Across the Universe" by ... The Beatles! 😉
Hmmm. Pretty strong group there Brandon. Looking at your YT playlists I'm surprised not to see Adele on that list. Wonder if you'd have any interest in expanding your list to a couple of other vocalist you might not be familiar with? Just wondering how they would stack up in your aural book. Talk about amazing talent. I've never seen this before. Ginger, I am mortaly wounded by your disliking of The Beatles, lol. I love the Beatles a lot. But you're entitled to your opinion. You should check them out sometime. They have some really fun songs, like Rocky Raccoon, O Bladi O Blada for example. I love watching you two react. Keep putting them out and I'll keep watching. God Bless ❤️✌️
So if I heard this correctly, Ginger thought Dear Prudence was irredeemable but maybe Haley and Morgan could redeem it? I guess that clarifies her dislike of the Beatles in no uncertain terms.
@@MikeandGinger I suppose but had you been around in the mid-60s you might have felt differently. Personally, I was more into jazz and blues at the time, but damn if they weren't different. I did see them, and if my memory serves me, it was the first concert I ever went to (took my little sister & her friends) and I honestly can say it was one of the worse concerts I ever witnesses between the billions of screaming little girls and the heinous acoustics in Cleveland Stadium. But it wasn't because of the music composition. Rubber Soul was probably the first album of theirs where I really started to appreciate their musical genius of the time .
I'm not a big fan of the original song, I didn't care at all for the guitar accompaniment, but these two ladies are so good they made something beautiful out of it anyway. Both these ladies have shown that they can sing just about anything well.
I agree with you on Beatles, so overated. This song by Hailey and Morgan though is MONEY! Gives me chill even though I've heard it hundreds of times. Thanks for your review.
Wow, I always thought that I was the only one that doesn't care for the Beatles. I do appreciate their songwriting and tend to like cover versions of their songs but something about the Beatles voices just grates like fingers on a chalkboard.
How do you know you don’t care for the Beatles if you’ve never listened? Do you honestly think one of the most universally loved bands worldwide of all time isn’t worth exploring BEFORE having an opinion? Do you judge people like that too? Without knowing them at all? I’d have to be dead to have never heard the Beatles. I’ve heard plenty of Beatles. I just don’t like their sound. It is possible to have a different opinion from billions of other people, without it making me a bad person. You’re perfectly happy to judge me without knowing me. Such a beautiful performance. An absolute masterpiece.

You are absolutely correct Morgans try at Take me to church is mindblowingly amazing....
Morgan can belt the tunes out for sure but nobody draws you in like the SLAYER!
Love the cameo by your gorgeous dog. Love the song.

Hey, let's sit around on the couch and sing some Beatles. These women are spectacular.

The guitarist is Morgan's husband.
Amazingly talented trio, I really liked it but Siouxie’s cover is still tops for me.

@@bloodybutunbowed291 that's an interesting observation - however, I don't believe Morgan's husband played on this cover ....... just sayin'

Now, she needs to listen to the Beatles.
They should have stayed there and recorded an album.
