i respect these guys..Mr Wittmann and Mr Jhonson for their dedication to this hobby and for the meticulous efforts in researching and publishing books that have been inspirational to the hobby of German edged weapons but i cant help feeling that most of us have really missed the boat in this sphere of collecting. they have been very lucky to have made fortunes in buying, selling and publication and gathered superb personal collections but i wonder how the prices became so inflated so as to basically exclude the average man in the street. they were in the right time and right place to capitalize on this area of collecting , granted , but it seems a pity that prices went so high for the genuine but less well heeled collectors. i am happy with my modest collection of army/fire dress bayonets and a single police bayonet and red cross hewer..but i can only dream of buying items such as SS daggers and so on....just seems a pity most of us cant reach what we see here because of inflation............just a thought.......marty

At 24:53 it is a Japanese type 99 rifle and not a German K98 rifle. I am not an internet troll but please do not pretend to know everything when you don't. If you can not 100% correctly identify something just keep your mouth closed................
The white tunic from hermann goering i saw some photos him wearing that white tunic for his wedding or the batisom of his daughter.. It's the only one that exists. Hitler has a white tunic also but totally different as that one..

Not respect for their politics. Respect for their fantastic craftsmanship and style. Top-class artifacts unequaled by any country in the world. Makes US uniforms look like mechanic's coveralls. Too bad German leaders practically destroyed the country.
