- Hi all, welcome back to another video. In this video, I hope to review Shadow Slave chapters 1-17, which constitute Sunny's first nightmare. These chapters are essential, as they frame much of the later novel. In my opinion, GuiltyThree's world-building is immaculate.

The Nameless Temple is not a shadow god temple, it's a temple made in honor of all 7 gods and has existed for a long time. Sunny (involuntarily) sacrificed himself for all gods but the shadow god was the only one who answered
I don’t think that lore had dropped a year ago when this video was made. I believe that info came relatively recently.
I'm only up to the Antartica arc, and I have to say, this shit is TOP TIER.
World building is AMAZING.
The lore is 2deep4u, the mechanics that make the Nightmare Spell is very well-thought out (although I DID HAVE A GRIPE with Sunny's Flaw forcing him to REPLY. HE CANNOT REFUSE TO SPEAK, HE MUST ANSWER, and answer with some modicum of truth).
It's just that getting through arcs is EXHAUSTING. MC gets no breaks. The tension just keeps building, and building, and building, and there's little to no release.
Oh, he just survived that very hard, very lethal fight? Time for a well-deserved break, yeah? *WRONG.* Here's an end boss (or two) lmao. Author has NO CHILL.
