    I can tell ya the superswamper tsl's I'm running on my yxz are good for snow but death traps on ice. Love the down to earth videos.

    Just finished installing 15x32 Warrior XTs on my 2021 Commander XTp in prep for winter ride at Hatfield McCoy. Looks like I made a good choice. Great video.

    I think I spoke for most people when I say this. I wish you would’ve said what PSI y’all are running in the tires since that could make a big difference. Love your videos tho!!

      Good point, never too much info when it comes to tires! I run 3psi in front, 5 in rear. Scott was at 9-10psi. We didn't want to lower his anymore because those Maxxis are easy to puncture the sidewall. As I did to my Maxxxis on my Turbo R.

      Tire pressure is key to be able to walk it out , in the PNW 3 pounds all the way around is real good, thanks for your videos snow running is the best

    The depth of the snow is the biggest factor. If you don't have the ground clearance and get high centered, you are done. You should try diamond chains.

      Yep. We call that bellied up! Heck yeah my buddy was using chains the other day, I have only used them on pickups. Thanks for watching!

    Quick question. How remote is this ride and do you normally carry extra fuel? Fun video to watch. We appreciate it.

    • @montanamountainutv
      @montanamountainutv  Год назад

      Hi, and thank you! This ride is in the tobacco root mountains. Fairly remote once you are there! And I don't ever carry extra fuel, such a hazard. I do have a small water bottle full for starting fires and I keep it up front away from the engine. I don't recommend anyone carry fuel in a sxs they go well over 100 miles on a tank.

    What psi you running looks like 20 should be at 5 psi or less would go right up those hills 😊

    • @montanamountainutv
      @montanamountainutv  Год назад

      You would think! Both at 9-10psi. I prefer 3-4psi with beadlocks

      Cool video, I run 3-4 psi without beads on my KRX4 in the snow. Bit risky but haven’t had a tire fall off yet. Makes a big difference from 10 down to 3-4psi. 35 carnivores with beadlocks coming in January. The super ATV looks like a great tire but sooo pricey here in Canada. Would like to see a video of pure slow crawling on snow seeing how the super ATV sticky floats in the future.

      @corbinperryperrystruckingservi good call. 35 inch carnivores will work great. The super atv warriors do crawl good when there is base set up. I just got a new set of 35's. I'll do some slow wheelin comparisons. Good idea!

      Yeah, I will keep you in mind. I will be putting tracks on soon, but I usually stay around here for that. A few hours of riding and I need to fill up again!😂

  • @rz8210
    @rz8210 Год назад +1

    Seriously though. There are a dozen factors. 1 size does not fit all. How wet/dry is the snow? How deep? What does your rig weigh? Have beadlocks,? Inner and outter?; horsepower? Have you ever driven in the snow? There is not a one size all tire for ANY condition

    • @montanamountainutv
      @montanamountainutv  Год назад

      Well said. More Power, less weight and Super Atv Warriors seem to walk away from all the other tires, ITP Blackwater with studs are great unless you are on top of base. They will cut until you belly up! Lol.
