You had a query two days ago... Your answer was right... But in the second sentence 'playing the violin' was a subjective complement which Was working as predicte nominal..and a Gerund always works as a noun.. The sentence was..
"Rani's favorite hobby is playing the violin."... Here, 'playing' is Gerund because it is working as noun... Sorry for the late reply.. Happy learning!! 😊👍👍
