    Love these Cori! I am doing these tonight at the gym! Yay! One variation I didn't see you do was lunge to the front, side,back, other side and then a squat. I do those sometimes with the TRX to add arm motion too. I don"t remember what it is called but you lunge in every direction and do a squat to complete the rep.

    • @ingridmunoz2144
      @ingridmunoz2144 5 лет назад

      I call them: around the clock lunges

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  5 лет назад

      Yea I didn't do that because it includes a squat and these are all lunge variations. ;-) I also have the Lunge Matrix in my other lunge video so didn't include it again.

    Love these! You're a maverick at coming up with workout moves 😎 Which ones do ya think are best for least impact on the knees?

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  5 лет назад +3

      So it depends on the specific knee issue. For reducing flexion the reverse hinge lunge or the anterior reach lunge.

    Nice video! Would you add the benefit of the lunges maybe below the names as they pop up? That’ll be so helpful to group them up into a routine! Thank you!

      Probably not as it would be impossible to read all of that BUT if you do want more in depth breakdowns of moves I include that on my blog - redefiningstrength.com/12-lunge-variations-to-build-strong-legs-and-glutes/

    Nice. I've been wondering about different lounges. Which specific lounge would you recommend from past knee injuries?

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  5 лет назад

      Depends on the knee injury. This article may interest you - redefiningstrength.com/12-lunge-variations-to-build-strong-legs-and-glutes/

    What does a pulse bring to an exercise and why would we want to add it instead of doing another rep?

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  5 лет назад +1

      So it's time under tension. In that same time you stay under tension longer. Also, if you just lunge out to push back you can more easily use momentum. When you perform the static pulse, you don't have the same momentum to push back. Sometimes results come from doing the "same" but "different" :-)

    I hate lunges but they are great for legs no pain no gain :)

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  5 лет назад

      Aw! Find versions you enjoy doing but they are a great exercise! And hopefully it is good pain not injury pain. Otherwise, pain and NO gain haha

  • @manonpiche8652
    @manonpiche8652 5 лет назад

    I see that your back leg knee touch the floor....why do you do that....is it better

    • @redefiningstrengthOC
      @redefiningstrengthOC  5 лет назад +1

      So you want to, when possible, work through a full range of motion to strengthen through that full range of motion. It helps you build mobility and stability. So while you don't want to rest on the ground, I want to work through every inch I can!
