Sounds like it's time to revisit my favorite shows, games and movies from Kevin's long history playing Batman. I'm saddened by his passing but excited to re-experience his long and historic run as this character. Rest in peace Batman 🥺❤️
You know what's coincidental about this. I'm playing Gotham Knights right now & Batman really does pass away.. RIP to the best Batman actor. You will be missed Kevin.
@@agoose4465 ain't no way dude. There are way too many flaws in batman Arkham knight than in city . Literally the ratings and majority of the players who have actually played both games will tell you that city is the best one ever .
Today it's basically unthinkable to see Batman kneeling, hugging a tombstone in utter sadness, and pleading to be spared of some cruel fate. In current comics and animation, he's doomed to be a "poser", always delivering the coolest or coldest line possible, under the best lighting and camera angle possible, with nearly no humanity whatsoever. RIP Kevin Conroy. You were a really cool Batman, and more importantly you really put the "Man" into the "Batman".
That was what was really great about Batman the animated series. There was a real gravitas to the humanity of so many characters. The Mr Freeze episodes and Harvey Dent's transformation into Two Face really stick out for me.
@@Johnykluk I agree. And gladly, a lot of very recent comics (and I meant since 2016, the Rebirth era) have been making an effort to explore his inner thoughts and insecurities and his overall thought process, which I find really interesting as a means to counter the decades of poster-like panels of Batman "posing" to our delight. It's obvious that badassery is undeniably built into the character. But it's fine to sometimes have a peek behind the proverbial cowl, and see what's inside his head as the highly-cognitive human being he is.
The man your talking about literally thinks his best work as Batman is Arkham Knight and your gonna sit here and tell a dead man he is wrong about himself?
RIP Kevin Conroy. I wasn't a fan of Batman as a character but your portrayal brought a humanity and relatability to him that is unparalleled and will never be forgotten. Thank you for your gift.
He was such a great actor and one of my personal favourites; Imagine being the star of one of the best games series ever, and one of the best animated series ever as well as being the definitive version of such a iconic character. Literally the real life hero of ever child, rest in peace.
Rest in peace to the best voice the world will ever know. He gave me my favorite version of Batman to ever be animated. Have fun in heaven Kevin. Gotham is waiting for you up there. 😢
Adding to this, my top 5 includes these, Jokers physical death in City, and Batman staying with Ace in JLU. 5th maybe his contrast to the Justice Lords.
Kevin Conroy is the first loat celeb ib my 36 years of life that hits nearly as much as losing a family member. Dude was pretty much the voice of my conscious growing up
That scene in mask of the phantasm he mentioned was powerful. I remember being a kid and seeing that and actually understanding the depth of what I was watching and what made it so intense! Kevin truly was Batman! Rip
Fascinating how his favorite performance is ironically the one he had the toughest time with, with him saying that for the Arkham Games he missed acting with others in the same room, and didn’t like the isolation needed to get clean lines. Says something about his work ethic I feel.
Still can't believe he's gone, he was a big part of my and millions of children all over the U.S childhood, he will never be forgotten, R.I.P. to Kevin Conroy aka the REAL Batman
Thank you Kevin for giving me such a great childhood that I can look back on and relive every day. Not a day will go by that I won't hear your voice in what I watch, play, or read. Rest in peace and know that you are a hero in every way.
The worst of this is that it hasn't truly cemented for me that he's gone yet. He's been Batman for so long I think about new projects he could be in and then get sorely reminded of reality. Rest in Peace to the greatest Batman
Kevin Conroy (RIP) mentioned in an interview many years ago that his favorite episode of Batman: The Animated Series was "Perchance to Dream", where the Mad Hatter 'placed' Batman in his own "Wonderland" where Bruce Wayne isn't Batman and his parents are still alive. Living the happy life that was taken from him when Bruce was a child.
Who would've known that the best Batman we would've ever gotten would be his voice incarnation. Kevin Conroy was BATMAN! And no one can replace him. RIP
Rest is peace Kevin. The voice of Batman will never be the same without Kevin. I think we can all agree Kevin was a good Batman. Maybe the best, RIP🕊 you’ll always be my favorite.
Wonderful voice, I grew up watching The Animated Series so he's the definitive Batman for me. Always seemed like such a good and humble person too. Rest in peace, Kevin.
We never stop to think this, but it's the greatest shame that new generations won't have a new Batman series/game starring Kevin and Mark to be excited about. They'll never know what it felt like when the first Arkham Asylum trailer dropped, or when we heard they were making the Killing Joke adaptation (the real great part of that one ended up being their acting dynamic).
Kevin Conroy Sir Made The Batman Alive Through His Performance. Without Him Batman Franchise Would Have Died With Batman And Robin Film And Never Seen Spectacular Remakes Such As The Dark Knight, DCEU Or Pattinson And Games Like Arkham Series. He Was More Than A Voice Actor And A Humble Soul To Those Who Knew Him And Interacted Personally. There Were Many Batmans And There Will Be But Only He Was The Brightest Among All. Rest In Heaven And Peace Our Knight. Glad To The Share Years As You And Thanks For Your Batman. Kevin Conroy Sir.
Arkham City is the best piece of Batman media ever, but I have to play through Arkham Knight another time to honor Kevin. That final scene is gonna hit a lot harder now though
It makes me happy that his favorite moment was working with Mark on one of my favorite and arguably one of the best games to come out in a long time 😢 We'll always miss you Kevin, there was and never will be another Batman for me
"Without Batman, crime has no punchline".

@SPIJAY vah naanu? Batman The Animated series from the 90s
RIP. Kevin. You gave us our beloved Batman. And years of The Dark Knight for all to enjoy.
I hope he knew how much he meant to so many before he passed
I hope he knew how beloved he really was by all his fans. He was the gold standard. I think he always will be.

Rip Kevin Conroy. The best Batman ever
Rip Kevin man💔

I did the same. I started rewatching animated series and started a new game on Arkham City
Rewatched mask of the phantasm and am playing asylum on hard
You know what's coincidental about this. I'm playing Gotham Knights right now & Batman really does pass away.. RIP to the best Batman actor. You will be missed Kevin.
Underrated game
I wish Kevin could've voiced Batman in it. It would've been perfect for his last time voicing Batman.
Arkham knight is the best Batman game, I love this legend, may he rest in peace ❤️
Arkham city but yes rip

The new Batman movie made him very human again, which I loved. Batman is a badass but still a human.

When I saw the movie as a little boy, and he said the line: “I never counted on being happy.” I just broke down.😢
The perfect voice for the Dark Knight!
REST IN PEACE, BATMAN. 😪
thank you for the memories, Kevin

Mask of the phantasm was Kevin's finest performance as Batman. He should have won an award.
Actually it was in Arkham Knight.
I think the episode Robin's Reconning DID win am Emmy....
