One of the thing that impressed me the most about Etho's DO playstyle is how he manages to have a map awareness (Both through remembering Ravager locations and estimating them based on sound) so high that he doesnt really benefit that much from the Beast Awareness cards, leaving extra slots free on his deck. "I hope you guys didn't mind the longer episode" Dude, this was my second favorite episode of the entire season. Watching you play Decked Out is the best.
By the way Etho, the "speed boost II" card you got is no longer valid. Tango discovered during play-tests that it was detrimental to players as they would speed around corners directly into ravagers. It was replaced by the resistance beacon effect, so you should get it replaced with a resistance II card from Tango. :)
Wow, if we go by irl card collecting rules, that would make it one of the most valuable items on the server. Maybe even more valuable than THE 12 bamboo
Etho is a hermit that actually understands decked out and its functions - He trades in cards and understands that only 5 go into the game - He doesnt take loadstone compass' out of the dungeon - He takes his pants off lol - He actually explores and understands the clues and hidden secrets
It has become very apparent why most hermits play minecraft instead of traditional videogames, due to their lack of hand-eye coordination and ability to min/max gameplay strategy.
Yeah I was thinking, "Wow this must be a really complex contraption if it's enough to fuel an hour long episode," but hey this episode was super fun anyways
It's behind the tree towards the entry room into the forest area with the well. Also, an updated clue in the library says that the greatest treasure requires a leap of faith, which I take to mean the lava in the throne room floor. I assume that also leads directly to the main entry room with that bubble column people keep trying to go down, so I can't wait to see someone do it!
@@kamifoltek2345 I saw on stream when he added that, it was honestly a last minute thing his streamers suggested to him a couple weeks ago after the game had started. So I'm pretty sure myself at least that its in the castle district. Where else does the bubblevator into the entry area come from?
Man, props to Tango for making such a good game. Etho do you think he'll let you take a peek at the redstone and what-not when he's closes the game? It'd be fun to see you two wander around the wires talking about this and that.
Etho made the song that plays as you enter, so he's been down there before. He may not be showing it because it's been covered so heavily on Tango's channel.
Actually, Tango said he would give all the hermits a look around inside, so, I think after the game is finished he could also show all around for those interested in redstone. :)
NaitNait it won’t get ripped out but tango spend over 4 hours everyday working the game and he eventually wants to get back to making regular content. So it’ll stay intact but unplayable in probably 2 weeks or so
I know some people don't like his interesting building style/theme, but I find it so amazing. He just proves that it doesn't matter what you build with, rather how you build with it. Amazing work from pure talent!
My pet peeve in minecraft and irl is when colours don't go well together but ethos base has all these weird combinations of blocks that always look good
Both with what and how matters really! Etho is so meticulous with his palette combinations. He just thinks outside the box and sees the texture instead of what that texture corresponds to for a block.
Bdubs: "I think Etho's interested in my new concrete shop, he's been skulking about, checking things out *happy noises*" Etho: _lurking about the back of Bdubs' establishments for Scar's diamond in the dumpster_ btw that amazing shot of you falling in the black hole and shoot up with the ender pearl? One of the best things I've seen in Hermitcraft ever 👍
I wonder if etho or any hermits know that they can get multiple loot box tokens bc a lot of the times the tokens are located on a different block from the floor (ex netherrack in the crimson forest and dirt in the forest)
Haha I like how most hermits are concerned about how to do decked out content. And I think I can speak for everyone "YES give me an hour long episode each week please!"
after seeing Etho play decked out, now I understand why chests and barrels are mostly always empty for other hermits. Etho the loot vacuum, playing the game right!!!

The other Hermits are just incredibly bad when it comes to minigames and the likes lol. Some of the other hermits have super impressive ones by size, but ethos is still by far my favorite. Mesmerizing is the perfect word. This might be one of my favorite builds out of all his series, it’s so fun and colorful, and I can tell he’s really enjoying it! In general just the quality of these videos have been amazing lately!
I've been watching almost every hermit play decked out. Here we can see the difference between players who play minecraft and Etho. Watching Etho in his honed habitat, being the minecraft gaming universe, the "Etho" uses his cunning, smarts and object permanence in playing decked out. Rarely have I seen hermits track the beasts without beast sense cards. Even more rarely have I seen a hermit track multiple beasts, think a way around it, and think about the vex' in the process... The #skills and #guts on this hermit are of legend.
It was amazing how he could map out where all the mobs are, especially with the evokers how he know what paths to take to pass them so he can just ignore clank and keep looking for loot.
You should definitely put decked out runs at the end of each episode. This was insane! Especially when you are the best decked out player among the hermits.
Etho sounded like he was having more fun then ever when he's playing decked out. I'm super excited for more of your attempts. Thank you for the videos. :)
The greedy explorer play style is exactly how tango envisioned people playing, when the game launched people weren't doing enough of that so he started rewarding it heavily with manual loot.
@@jatwala8295 No. Loot finder III is just rolling the dice 3 times for auto-populated barrels, those are the barrels with coins on the first slot. All the potions, dungeon keys and fancily-arranged coins were placed there manually by Tango. He STASHED the secret or less-visited areas so people would explore more. It's all on his streams.
That has to have been the _coolest, swaggiest, bigger than Beef’s mom, most clutch, most _*_satisfying_* ender pearl throw I have ever seen. Also the base is looking great!
@@inconceivablecanine9014 You're right. Grabbing an ender pearl dropped off a ledge while falling into a void and throwing it just in time to save yourself is pretty bland. Throwing one while standing still and then walking into a hole is way more stylish.
Not gonna lie, i clicked on this episode cause i thought it was gonna be his usual 20 minutes and i only have time for about 20 minutes... boy was i wrong XD
I just realized this Hermitcraft series is getting more views than the old single player LP! This series is probably more accessible to new viewers which is important for a channel to stay around after a decade. And it's great to see Etho enjoying multiplayer so much 😀
Not like Etho has ever been lacking in views though really. He gets about as many as CaptainSparklez (when I last checked anyway) who has something like 4x his sub count
I started to watch the LP from Ep 1... then got disquraged by the 4k episodes (*I know there are actuallyonly like 4-500*)... But Hermitcraft has always been a staple for me. (As well as Mindcrack when ever I see those videos on other channels.)
Throughout the week i saw in many of other Hermit's videos that Etho had 3 points in Decked Out. That is so much more than what he showed in the last episode, that he had to make a lot of runs to get to this point, so I just assumed he was going to show only short clips of his runs, i'm so glad he showed everything, and I have to say that in terms of exploiting the mechanics of Decked Out, Etho is by far the best player, such joy seeing he play, too few decision errors, in fact, giving the circumstances on his attempts (a lot of Ravagers closing his paths), it's almost a miracle that he escaped alive in some of them.
Because he just plays them so well. He doesn't just get the loot token and leaves. He finds secrets. He checks for loot. He plays greedy, but smart. He's the first person to go down the hole, which I've been waiting for someone to do since the beginning. He tries to lure ravagers the safe way, remembering where they were. He trades artifacts, buys coins, and isn't afraid of dying if it teaches him more secrets.
@@WanderTheNomad yeah, all in vanilla survival - so there's just a little bit of redstone doing things in the background ;) Ok, you got me, that was an understatement. It's tons of planning and redstone and administration from Tango. Pretty awesome hey!
he has to spend countless hours restocking and maintaining it though. It's worth playing it but if I were tango not sure how long I could keep doing that everyday
@@AfonsodelCB That's exactly why I can't imagine what goes on behind the scenes. Manually stocking individual crates seems unthinkable. And that's not even including the initial creation of the minigame itself.

The Decked Out runs were SO entertaining! I love the "noo-ooo-oo" at every tragic turn. Also I think you're the first person to notice the trapdoors with lava in front of King Tango.
I've been waiting for someone to open those! Every time, every hermit walks right past them...curious if it could be a secret passage. Also, I haven't seen anyone find the "blacksmith knows how to hide his treasures" clue, and there are trap doors in that room too on the wall.
@@dekmar7954 I personally think there's treasure down there, and that it also is a tunnel that leads to the bubblevator at the entrance. Also keep in mind that the book in the library said: "sometimes you gotta take a leap of faith".
Probably an unpopular opinion, but Etho's is one of the best builder of the hermitcraft. The way he works out room shape, colors, textures and details is absolutely incredible. Everytime he comes up with a block palette, my first reaction is "surely not!", and yet, he makes it work... It's original to the point of brilliance. I feel only bdubs and scar are at this level of art.
I feel like is by far the best at blending technical builds with a compelling aesthetic. His builds radiate personality through the Minecraft building blocks in ways that don’t rely on any sort of realism. They’re fit to function and connected with rooms full of little stories or ideas. While the other builders are experts in their own style, Etho always connects all aspects of the Minecraft experience into his bases; this is in contrast to Scar for example who is seemingly disorganized and builds without the clearest eye for productivity. Grian’s season six base falls victim to the facade problem as well. I feel like every hermit is trying to catch up with the seamless integration of building style and technical know-how Etho always demonstrates. Mumbo has started leaning into this well rounded style in his season 6 and 7 bases. Grian has done the same with his latest builds too, transitioning from purely aesthetic builds to functional builds as well. Every hermit to some degree has this skill, but the level is unmatched compared to Etho in my opinion.
Etho, you're a hero. Today has been the first time in a long time where I am genuinely sick and I have alot of stressful things going on. This almost hour long video couldn't have come on a better time
I have got to say, this has got to be my favorite episode out of every series yet. And not because it was mostly decked out. Just the editing and the music you did for this video (especially in the beginning), is outstanding. Myself and (I'm pretty sure) everyone else can tell how much effort you're putting into your videos and man, I have to say, you're probably the best RUclipsr out there. You're content has entertained me for the past 8 years and it just keeps getting better; I don't think I'll ever stop watching your videos. Keep up the amazing work Etho.
I marked this episode down, I have already watched it three times. The design work, the "resistance" meeting and the really exciting Decked Out moments, make it the most complete and entertaining episode of Hermitcraft I have seen.
I hear Etho say his builds look weird or bad a lot, but honestly they're amazingly interesting and look amazing, I don't know how I would make them any better.
well, his build is weird tbh, unlike other hermits that build one massive base, and had symmetry in it, in my opinion his build is really weird. but his pallete is amazing! his sense of contrast is beautiful. like mentos and coca cola.
Etho is one of my favourite builders easily. He keeps the feel, especially the OG Minecraft style that so many creators had when Minecraft first got big, and has taken it to another level with his own massive amazing personality all mixed in.
Hot take: Etho's the best builder in hermitcraft. Maybe I'm biased but it's either Bdubs or etho for me. Grian's good but he doesn't really have a style/flare like bdubs and etho do. Just my opinion tho who cares at the end of the day
I’m so glad that this is the episode that gets 1M view. Seriously one of the best ep that I keep coming back to with entertaining dungeon runs and very humble ender chest organization

Had he walked here before he launced the enderpearl, he would've been a gonner.

Definitely lives up to his skin, Kakashi.

Grians comment of "Its nothing but interiors with no outside" was my favorite. kind of opposite to his mansion for the most part too lol.
why is watching etho do dungeon runs so satisfying
Because he just plays them so well. He doesn't just get the loot token and leaves. He finds secrets. He checks for loot. He plays greedy, but smart. He's the first person to go down the hole, which I've been waiting for someone to do since the beginning. He tries to lure ravagers the safe way, remembering where they were. He trades artifacts, buys coins, and isn't afraid of dying if it teaches him more secrets.

Popular opinion :)

Won't that make the universe colabs?
That Bdubbs gang is the most cursed thing I’ve seen all day

I think you mean beautiful.
the destiny man knows no bounds to what videos he comments
I love that moment at 47:43, for those unaware, Tango actually glitched the bedrock there to remove a 3*3 chunk of it, Etho wasn't just falling there, but he was falling out of the world, all until the moment the enderpearl saved him.
Had he walked here before he launced the enderpearl, he would've been a gonner.
I think this dungeon looks so much like a costume map that they don't realize there is bedrock in that place, and there is no way to get bedrock in survival unless it's the bottom of the map (or you're Ilmango)
Run 13, best game of Decked Out I've ever seen! Love how you were cornered, took a lot of loot, found the tele orb and then right at the end saw to use it through the walls to evade that last beast!!! Etho, The Master of Decked Out, I recon!
Start of the episode: Gee, Etho is focused on other stuff, he is behind on Decked Out
End of the episode: ALL HAIL THE DUNGEON LORD!!!
I could have watched even more decked out honestly. It's so cool. I would watch full runs.
Same. Etho is the best to watch for Decked Out (imo)
@@SoopCanSam-EthoPlaylists best to watch AND is the best at it, cub is great too but the reason he has the highest score is because he is the player that trades with other hermits the most. joehills is underrated imo, he has an incredible deck of card aswell but he mostly plays as king maker (trades card with other hermits i.g. he's the reason for 2 of cubs points).
I love how you have 15 minutes of base & mycelium resistance stuff, then 35 minutes of decked out.
Your priorities are as they should be XD
I couldn't commit to the full 30 minutes of extra decked out play the first time, but I'm glad I came back to watch it. Tango absolutely killed it with that game.
Man, Tango really did a thing with decked out. So fun to play and so fun to watch!
You're not "playing greedy", you're "playing properly". What you're doing is exactly what Tango wants people, and wants more people, to do. That's why he's putting around a load more treasures, so people explore more.... and why there are now challenge compasses.
Etho plays deck out at its fullest! I'm sure tango wanted it to be played like this... Always checking secrets, being amazed by little details and taking risks smartly!
Good job Etho! I'm so glad I found your channel!
Exactly. I get so frustrated by the majority of the other players.
I am watching Etho's season 7 again, and I am so impressed at just how peak Etho this content is! I honestly think that season 7 of HC is going to live on as one of the best.
Love watching the decked out runs, I think putting them at the end is best so people who are very interested (like me) can still watch all the progress. Can't wait to see you interact with Tango's new dungeon secrets :)
Can't wait for the next Hermitcraft season when Tango can make Decked Out 2 with the Wardens
I had a dream that he redid the clank system with the skulk sensors!
Okto Bot but that would detect anything not only the player.
OMG that's going to be amazing
@@OktoberVanderslice I had the same thought while watching this
@purple kitten true, there aren't any snapshots yet tho. When Tango gets a chance to mess with the new game mechanics I'm sure he could figure it out if he wants to
Bro, that build is just blowing my mind. The madman uses 4 end crystals! It looks so good dude.

anyone else think Decked Out needs to be a minigame in minecraft dungeons?
To a certain extent, Decked Out *is* Minecraft Dungeons.
Great idea though.
