I have 2000 IV and the fuse upgrade brought enormous sound benefit. The fuses have sound signature so be careful, it depends on what type of sound you like! Also you may upgrade the cabling from the power module(be careful with the unscrewing!!!) to the terminal, and the terminals too(get a genuine WBT or similar brass/copper ones).

no, I mean the connections between the boards and the components inside. Even the volume control has a connector on both sides

A sansui alpha 907 will blow that denon out of the water. Not even close. The pma 2000 have great parts but they sound average, nothing special
